This Is How Steak Is Done!

Several years ago Karen and I experienced our first encounter with Longhorn Steakhouse in Pigeon Forge, TN and we have been a fan ever since almost never having any quality of food or service issues. After a second day journey to the Jacksonville, FL area we again chose Longhorn as our dinner meal of choice. We were not disappointed! Emily, our wait staff person was certainly accommodating to Karen's allergen food issues. Food was served with cold food cold and hot food hot something our local Springfield, MO Longhorn could take a lesson from. It certainly from our perspective was the best Longhorn dinner we have ever enjoyed, A speaking of best, my steak was done to perfection! This Is How Steak Is Done!

It was my birthday dinner!

We have eaten here before and figured it was the perfect place to have my birthday dinner. We had about a 30-minute wait which was not too bad and we were promptly seated when our number was texted. The hot fresh bread that they make is always delicious and that holds you over until your salad comes or soup and then the main meal. Our waitress could not have been better than she was. Excellent professional attitude. The food was very good .I had the T-bone steak. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone that wants the perfect ambiance and a delicious meal at a competitive price.

Still a favorite in Valdosta.

I generally single out the Longhorn for lunch when in the city. This time my server was really friendly and helpful. Like a number of other places, they don't have as many employees as they'd like, but all of them did a good job and stayed on top of everything. The sole thing I wasn't too happy with was my cup of shrimp and lobster chowder: it tasted good, yes, but it was barely lukewarm. I was unable to catch any of the servers as they went by, and the chowder wasn't inedible, just not heated as well as it could have been. The steak and side were right up there with its usual quality. The restaurant is clean and comfortable.

Unhappy Birthday Meal!!

We live in Douglas Ga and today is my wife’s birthday. We came in and ordered our food it took 55 minutes to get our two Longhorn steaks both with loaded bake potatoes and asparagus. It took us asking our waitress what was going on and she asked us what would we like for her to do about it. She offered an appetizer for our troubles. I explained to her that everyone around us that came in after us had already gotten their food and that one other customer sent his steak back over cooked and already got his replacement. My daughter and friend sat at another table and had already got their food and had gone to the car 30 mins before we got ours. I paid for theirs and they decided to go to the car We actually got our meal at the same time as the appetizer. There was absolutely nothing warm on either plate. Again she asked what would we like for her to do. Trey came and told us he was aware of the issues and was sorry for the troubles and gave us the appetizer and our drinks at no charge Never was we told they would recook and make it right. Mind you we come over and eat at this location regularly.7-6-24

Longhorn is definitely worth the visit with excellent food and service

Our food at Longhorn was excellent and came out very hot and plentiful. I totally enjoyed that chicken fingers with the mashed potatoes. The chicken was extremely fresh and breaded to perfection and excellent. The salmon is out of this world and tasted great. The service at Longhorn was very good and the waitress was very attentive. I highly recommend Longhornsteakhouse in Valdosta

Because of the lineup at the front, I decided to order takeout. My order was the Renegade steak which I had had at other locations. However, when I returned to my hotel room to dine, I found the steak to be nothing like the picture on their website. It was about a half inch thick and very tough, almost impossible to cut with the provided utensis. The baked potato was missing the green onions but the Brussels sprouts were OK. For a top-notch steakhouse to offer such poor quality meal was a disappointment.

Just keeps getting better

The staff is excellent, backed by a great manager. The food is the best, if there is a problem at all, the manager will fix it right away. The steaks are mouth watering delicious and the sides are phenomenal. I don`t what the recipe for the steak seasoning is, but it`s a shame to put steak sauce them, they are seasoned beautifully.

Upon entering the restaurant there was a smell. We believe it is from the cleaning solutions possibly but it really does not help the appetite!!! Our service was wonderful and the steak was amazing. Atmosphere is relaxing especially after a day on the road.

We stopped in Valdosta, GA on a travel day and had dinner at Longhorn, one of our favorite places. Staff and food, excellent. And, we were thrilled to see they had Mobile Pay, quicker and safer. Longhorn, always a class act

We are on our way to North Carolina and happened to stop here for a quick bite and to watch one of our college football games. Sat at the bar and the bartender, Makayla, was attentive and found the game we wanted to watch on the bar areas entertainment system (tv) Friendly, clean, and very good service. Thank you, Makayla!

We happen to stop by here on our way to St. Augustine, FL to have dinner. When we walked in (6:30pm) our first impression, is the place is dated and and needs some TLC. Also, the hostess was nowhere to be found. My son and I went to the restroom (which was filthy, not to mention the men’s bathroom - our son found a very undesirable and disgusting encounter). When we returned, they had seated my husband (after 5 minutes of no hostess to be around) in the bar area where the bench cushions had problems (sunken and not stable). When the waitress/bartender Mykala arrived she asked us for any drinks and we just told her we wanted water. She came back with the drinks and some bread and we just had her take our order since we were in hurry. We had order the Parmesan Crusted Chicken with a Cesar Salad and Asparagus, Sierra Chicken with House Salad and Sweet Potato and grilled unseasoned chicken tenders with a plain sweet potato. We sat there and waited 30 minutes for the salads and they never came out. We started to wonder what was the holdup since it’s always served so quickly. We saw that the Waitress/Bartender Mykala never once went back to check on our order because she was having a long personal conversation with a customer who was drinking at the bar. She then left a moment and brought him his take out order and still continue her conversation while other people were trying to get her attention so they can pay and leave. We also were trying to get her attention to see what happen to the salads. She finally came to our table after my husband flagged her down because she was having another conversation with the customer that was trying to pay. We then asked what was going on with our order and why haven’t the salads ever come out. She then said that there was two large parties on the other side that was slowing the kitchen down (which seemed inaccurate as we had seen all the tables on that side all served with their meals as we went to the restroom earlier). Mind you she didn’t check our order not even once since she was to busy with her personal conversations and getting drinks. So she said she was going to check on it and then after 40 minutes we get the salads. We asked about the rest and she said they were working on it. So we waited another 10 minutes and I was telling my husband to let’s just go since it was not looking very good on our end and we still had long drive ahead. At that moment, she returned and gave us an update on our order and said it will be another 4 more minutes (which during our whole experience she never came to give us any update or even check if we needed any more water). I then told her we were about to leave if it didn’t come since we have already waited almost an hour. After a bit more, the food finally arrived at 7:33pm and it was all cold and the unseasoned chicken tenders were all covered in seasoning. We see a man walking by and I asked him if he was the manager (Mike Waldron) and he responded that he was. We then told him all about our experience starting with the no hostess and the waitress/bartender personal conversation to the seat cushions, long wait and the cold and wrong food order. He then defended the seat cushions by saying that the cushions we redone but they failed to put the springs back. I then told him if the staff was aware of it then why seat us or any customers in that area. He didn’t even respond to my question and just kept repeating the same thing about the cushion. We also brought to his attention that the tenders were seasoned and he just apologized and asked to get another thing but after this whole long wait, we didn’t dare as we were afraid to have to wait an eternity to get our order. Also Mike (Manager), never even acknowledged the cold food or address the waitress/bartender or no hostess at the front reception area, he only cared about the bench cushion. Mykala (waitress/bartender) came back and said “I put the order right” but didn’t even apologize or seemed genuine of her concern of our experience. So we paid and left to never return to this location in the future. If you want poor service, terrible seats, cold food, disgusting and dirty bathrooms with an MIA hostess and waitress/bartender who has a mouthful of personal stories and a manager that only cares about defending his bench cushions, then this is the place for you! EATERS BEWARE!

So I was sat at a table where I can see the kitchen. The floor was gross with trash all over it. The employee was on the line with no gloves on his hand during the pandemic the broccoli well out of the bag and off the plate he put it back on the plate no gloves. The salad came out just thrown in the bowl the asparagus was under cooked the steak was over cooked and tough. The sangria had no alcohol in it. The DM gave me 25% off and I paid 63.00 for nasty.
