We have just driven from Orlando, Florida that morning on our way home, so this restaurant was our very first stop for lunch. For the price and portion of the food, it was really great value. Three of us decided to try their lunch specials, which came with salad, 2 sides and dessert. They do have a salad and dessert bar for that. Choices were plentiful. For the dessert, you get ice cream and Georgia's pride, peach cobbler, which was delicious. Food and sides, really good. No wonder the restaurant is a favorite among locals and travelers alike. Too bad I can't remember the name of our server, but she was really very nice and even offered to refill our sweet teas and have them packed with lids to go. If we ever find ourselves on this side of the country in our travels, this restaurant is definitely a must-stop place.

My wife and I were on our way back from Fl and stopped in at the Smok’n Pig. I really do not know how they serve the amount and quality of food for the money. I had the brisket and ribs and my wife had the bbq chicken. You also get two sides, the salad bar and desert bar with each meal. They have about 16 to 20 sides to choose from and they were very good. The salad bar is well stocked and the desert bar has peach pie, banana pudding and ice cream. We both ate with drinks for $33.00 and had leftovers. We highly recommend this restaurant if you are hungry and like BBQ.

On a recent visit with my father who lives in Valdosta I went to the Smok'n Pig for lunch. On seeing the parking lot being pretty full I was afraid we would have to wait a while, but we were able to be seated right away.
The servers and waiters are wearing masks for safety purposes and there are gloves at the salad bar station and dessert station, which is comforting.
They have ribs, chicken, pork, burgers, brisket and a great variety of sides.
Our waitress attended to us right away and took our drink order. I like their lemonade they also have sweet and unsweetened tea and other soft drinks.
On a previous visit I had the Three Little Pig pulled pork sliders, but on this visit I had the brisket sandwich. With the sandwich you can pick two sides. They have a lot of delicious sides. On this visit I had the sweet potato souffle and mac&cheese, which were both excellent.
Service is friendly and food is delicious and fresh.
I would definitely recommend the Smok'n Pig if you are looking for good barbecue while in the Valdosta area,

I went here on Saturday morning at noon. The place was packed. I ordered a signature Smoking Pig BBQ sandwich. This is a BBQ place. How do you mess that up? They served me a dry BBQ sandwich with absolutely no flavor. BBQ sauce on the table but it's cold. It did not pair well. I was with friends, didn't want to be the troublesome friend so I acted like I was still hungry and ordered wings. There was not a lemon pepper to be found so I ordered the plain wings and dadgummit they were plain...where is the flavor? Where is the seasoning? This place is packed with people eating eating dry, flavorless food. OMG! These people must be Valdosta natives because this was not good BBQ at all. You cannot pay me to go back.

What a disappointment. Service is really lacking. I don’t know where the manager was the entire time we were there, but they need to be watching their servers.
Servers in the back room would stand around the corner chatting with each other and laughing instead of serving customers. They were nice enough but ill trained and not supervised.
We could all hear it. We would have to turn around and look for our server to get more drinks or the bill, etc. my husbands beef was way overdone and we had to hunt a server down. She then said I’m not your server. Go figure.
The server never removed our dirty salad plates or any of the other dirty dishes.
Not something I want to look at as I am eating my entree. I looked at the other tables and other customers experienced the same thing. If you are going to serve someone you need to take away the dirty dishes !
It all sat there until we left. I asked to speak to the manager on my way out, the hostess said she was busy in her office. Obviously that’s part of the problem there! They need some new management or at least a manager who watches what the staff is doing.
And by the way Many Servers had their masks under their nose. That’s not the way you wear it.
The salad bar had gloves but no one but me seemed to use them. They need to take some of the excess servers standing around and have them stand at the salad bar and recommend the gloves and show patrons where they are !

Wonderful huge cabin interior, menu is extensive and BBQ is pecan smoked! Service was excellent, large vegtable selection as well. I had the BBQ Brisket and Pulled Pork (No bread sandwhich) Baked Apples and Collard Greens, My husband had BBQ with slaw and fries. The beer was Ice cold and I did not need a Mug!... Salad Bar is extensive. Desert Bar is just Ok, but I was so full it was not needed. I also bought homemade pork rinds, plain and bbq - theses are for sale at the check out counter.

Always enjoy this place. Because if COVID, we decided to do a pickup. After looking at the menu on line, I called and placed the order. It was ready when stated, however, was shocked at the total. When I stated the items ordered were each 4$ more then the online stated prices I was informed “well. It’s COVID and we had to raise all prices. Just haven’t got to changing anything on line. Truly disappointed in the management. Should have said something when call in was made. Food was good however left a bad taste in our mouths the way they handled/explained the situation.

We came across the Smok’n Pig BBQ on our way to Florida a few years ago. We always stop for lunch on the trip down and sometimes on the trip home, depending on our schedule. I usually get the pulled pork, while my other half gets the brisket. We’ve done the meal with sides, salad bar, and dessert. All of it was fabulous. You just can’t eat that much and stay awake driving. We do the sandwich, salad bar, and peach pie. We keep saying we’re going to try the ribs. They look delicious. We also pick up extra bbq sauce to take home to use and if we forget, they’ll send it to you. We now have many friends stopping to eat here to. Don’t forget the staff, they’re on top of things too.

As Minnesotans returning from Florida stopped for dinner. Food was rather bland but serving size and price really good.
Met some of the nicest locals here who recommended dishes and treated us very kindly. Funny that we’ll remember this place for the friendly customers and prices but not the food.

This place was packed on a Saturday night but 4 of us were seated right away. The baby backs were delicious and came with two sides, salad bar and dessert! We were all stuffed by the time we left! Extremely reasonably priced. Wish they build one by us!

This is a pretty good BBQ chain. Even though it was busy, I was seated promptly. The serve staff did an excellent job of making sure my order got placed quickly and my iced tea was always full.
I have actually been to this location twice. The first time I had the BBQ Chicken meal, the second time I had the Sausage meal. Both came out hot and the presentation made the meal look that much better (take note other restaurants that you can make the dinner look good even in these more cautious times).
Even thought it was a little crowded for sit down, the noise level was not bad at all - no shouting here.
Been there - Done it (twice) - Will do it again when I go back to Valdosta.

I’ve ate here lots of times but today wasn’t that good. Way to much BarBQ sauce on the pulled chicken and the sweet potato soufflé was just too sweet I don’t know. All seemed off today. The salad bar was good. Service was quick This could be the first time I haven’t been happy eating here.

On Thursday 12/17/20 I was in the resturant to pick up an order. I observed counter/cashiers filling small "Take out" size servings of BBQ from a gallon jug on the counter next to the cash register. There were rows and rows of containers being filled. There was not a shield between the Public and these containers. The cahier was giong between checking people out and then returing to filling the containers. There were NOT wearing Gloves.
I brought this to the attention of the Manager. She, a woman of maybe 30, told me "That if I did not like it, I could leave" and "that they did it like that ALL the time." She also said that they had "PASSED INSPECTION" the day before. I ask, "Did they see you doing this?" She replied "YES". I said "Someone could Cough or Sneeze on the Open product, to which she replied "Why would you do that." I said "Not me, Anyone". She told me I couls leave again.
This cannot be safe practice!!!

No face masks worn by kitchen staff (Lied to me and said the health inspector said that is fine...clearly it is not in line with Georgia COVID restrictions). Girls working carry out counter were wearing masks on lower mouth and chin only. Restaurant was packed with no masks required while walking around. After ordering and paying, I stood and observed the lack of regard for the public’s health for about 10 minutes. Cancelled my order and walked out.

Made a point of stopping here for lunch as it was recommended by a friend.
Loved the decor, great salad bar (gloves provided), service and menu choices.
Disappointed in meat quality. The St. Louis ribs and shredded pork were super dry.
Ribs DID NOT fall off bone and in fact, were kind of rubbery. They rely on the many choices of BBQ sauces (on the table) to moisten the meat. The side dishes were good.
They are not very COVID conscious. Servers wear masks but often on chin, exposing nose and mouth. Gloves are provided for salad bar but not dessert bar. When tables are wiped down, all the condiments on the table (of which there are MANY) are not wiped at all.
