By the time we decided to stop for lunch, it was almost 2:00pm. Not realizing that they stop serving at 2pm we were promptly seated, given menus, and made feel very welcome. We thoroughly enjoyed our salads. They never once made us feel we had to hurry, even tho they were setting up for the evening meal. We loved the place and would love to stop for dinner sometime, if ever in the area again.

Utterly fabulous restaurant. Modern twist on Southern cuisine. We stopped here after a long day on the road. A fabulous sampler of deviled eggs, sausage, great cheese, etc. for $16. Great cocktails at $8 and $9. I had grilled pork loin for $18 that included salad and two veg. Great service.

We visited after a long week of work. Our family was very impressed with this local restaurant in the downtown area of Valdosta. They had an excellent selection of fresh seafood as part of their dinner menu. Three of our group chose the Fish special. It was grilled to perfect flaky moist. The sauce added that touch of acid and sweetness that really brought out the flavor. The side items complimented and did not outshine the fish. If I was in the area again I would highly recommend returning to the restaurant.

Every few years the fates conspire to put me near Valdosta at the end of a long day. I should have learned to have a mcD’s and hit the rack. But culinary hope springs eternal and I tried 306 as it was the #1 on trip advisor. It was not bad just mediocre and not worth the cost or effort. I love fried green tomatoes, they’re really hard to screw up but they managed topping them with a pimento cheese glop that was too much and too sweet. Their wedge salad, another classic that’s hard to screw up was served without crumbled blue cheese and the tiniest dollop of bacon and then drown in thin tasteless dressing. The salmon was way past well done even though ordered as medium, the grilled shrimp over cooked and dry, the vegetables mushy, one bright spot were mushrooms in a balsamic glaze that were interesting and delicious. The service was attentive almost to the point of being annoying but not professional. The wine list is short and uninspired. My biggest gripe after all of the above is their liquor pour is unbelievably cheap. All in all this place is not expensive and not awful, but not worth the effort even if you live next door.

Service was poor. Food barely adequate considering the price. Owners are arrogant and believe they are entitled to the high clientele who are more than willing to pay inflated prices for mediocre food at exorbitant prices. With absolutely zero atmosphere.

We stopped at 306 North for lunch on our way from FL to Ky. It was a nice restaurant, although a bit cluttered and noisy. I wish I had asked for an outdoor table.
Our waitress Tina was very kind and attentive.
The 306 salad was perfect! It included crispy romaine, mushrooms, avocado, tomatoes, shrimp and bacon. The dressing was also tasty!

There's a reason this locally owned restaurant is always at the top of the best in town and always busy! Everything is delicious and served with hospitality. Four of us enjoyed a great dinner, all had different dishes and we all raved about every bite. We were graciously accommodated by the owner and server to get us out the door in time for a local play around the corner. We'll be back! Again and again!

Just enjoyed an early Friday evening dinner and cocktails at 306 North. Atmosphere, drinks, service, and food was over the top with reasonable prices. We highly recommend to all that want to enjoy a quiet but festive locally owned restaurant with exquisite southern fresh cuisine!!! The place is amazing!!!

Quick stop in Valdosta. Decided to try this place based on review . We were blown away !! Luke our server was awesome! We had the she crab soup . Yummy .., just the right amount of spice. Tuna tataki appetizer was the best I’ve ever had. The homemade cilantro Mayo that accompanied the tuna was made in house and was awesome! The halibut special was excellent with Brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes . I highly recommend this place !!

We had stopped here back in November 2019 and were hoping it was still good.
We were staying at the Holiday Inn Conference Center a short drive away, so it was convenient.
Thye were very busy on the Monday night we were there. We were seated in a back room which wasn't as good as the front, behind a large table of dentists. Luckily, they weren't too loud, except the man hosting would not shut up.
Drinks were good, chocolate martini for me and grey goose martini for my husband. They were half the price of what we pay in Nashville and made with premium spirits.
We both had the halibut, served mashed potatoes and asparagus. We started with a Caesar Salad for me and an Heirloom tomato salad for my husband, both very good and included in the price of the meal. So, appetizer, entree with sides, $42.00 and $45.00. Not bad for the good quality. We shared a chocolate Pot de creme for dessert, $6.00.
Service was good, but our server, Bailey W. was very busy with the large group, so our water glasses were not refilled and she wasn't as attentive as she could have been. If not for that I would have given our experience an excellent score.
We would not hesitate to return to 306 North. It is the best place in Valdosta for dinner and the prices are great for the good food they serve.

This review is for you snowbirds heading south for Florida on I-75 that stop in Valdosta Georgia for the night, as my wife and I did tonight. My wife consulted Trip Advisor for restaurants and we selected 306 North on a Tuesday night. The food and the service on a night that the restaurant was completely full and with two large parties (yes, we called for a reservation from the road thankfully) was fabulous. I had the red fish and orzo specialty and my wife had the chicken piccata, and both were delicious. It was hard to choose from the terrific menu. I’m saving the best for last. Anna was our waitress on a busy night and her personality, attentiveness and overall service was above and beyond what could have been reasonably expected. Thank you Anna! Tip

Wow! This little place impressed! Great restaurant in downtown Valdosta, with both indoor and outdoor dining. Hubby and I both very much enjoyed the Salmon for our entrees but found the hummus appetizer to have a bit too much kick (pepper). This little place takes reservations and as we got stuck in I75 traffic a bit long, staff was nice enough to extend our reservation a few minutes. Very kind. We ate inside but if the weather is nice, I would highly recommend you eat outside as the tables are very close and the restaurant is very noisy (as it is busy). Easy parking behind the building in a big parking lot.

The restaurant itself isn't really the "hidden gem", but it being in Valdosta, GA qualifies it as such! So what exactly brings folks to Valdosta? For us it was a waypoint on the way from Chicago to our condo in Naples. So we needed a meal and I love to seek out the "best" a town has to offer. I think I did a pretty good job on this nite. Our server, Luke, was a "gem"; or maybe a "peach", as in Georgia peach! Engaging, witty and most important ATTENTIVE without being overbearing. My ideal server! This place is not big and we eat early, but business had picked up by the time we left around 7:00 on a Thursday. The setting is cute (a repurposed building of some kind) in what I'm guessing is the heart of Valdosta. Most welcome was the noise. There was NONE! Very conversation friendly. I had the grouper special and my best girl had the chicken Piccata. Both dishes were ample in size, well seasoned and perfectly prepared. We each had a side of Gouda grits and they were very good (interesting?) as well. The wine list is adequate and the pours are good and fairly priced, but not generous. If you pass thru Valdosta (for any reason) I can highly recommend this place.

Extremely slow service, every part of the meal from salad to entree took forever. That part of the experience was painful. Otherwise the food was good. The bread was warm, crispy and fluffy on the inside. The grouper and fried rice specials we ordered for entrees were good, it didn’t blow us away in taste but they were a good flavor.

Traveling north from Florida, we stopped for the night in Valdosta GA and searched local restaurant options for dinner. 306 North popped up with excellent reviews. It did not disappoint and was a superior experience in every way. Located about 2.3 miles off I-75 in the historic part of Valdosta—itself a charming small town— it is easily accessible and worth a brief excursion off the highway. On a Monday night it was packed, and pleasantly so, with locals. The ambience was casually and informally elegant with white table cloths, original art on the wall, and a subtly industrial feel. The menu was impressive in its breadth and depth, as were the cocktail and wine options. Entrees come with salad and 2 sides, VERY reasonably priced. I had their beef filet with mushrooms and asparagus. My wife had the pork sirloin with sweet potato and grits— all superb. We shared the homemade pecan pie for desert which was outstanding. John our waiter was a seasoned pro— knowledgeable, personable, professional and attentive.
When our travels take us this way, we will be back
