Slow Paced-Friendly

During our visit we stopped into the Cracker Barrel for a bite of dinner. Our server was very friendly but we could tell they were very understaffed that evening. Service was very slow and food was only warm by the time it got to the table. They are famous for their Country Fried Chicken however go figure....they were out of it that night. The meals that we did order tasted just fine and the nice smile of our server made up for the slow food service. We will have to try it again and hope for a better experience.

Sunday lunch, on the road.

Lunch on the road travelling to Texas. We both had meals from the breakfast menu and they were both great. My wife had bacon and scrambled eggs, I had the Double Meat and Hash brown casserole. Friendly and helpful service made the visit very enjoyable.

Great Breakfast at a Reasonable Cost

You can usually count on Cracker Barrel for a good meal at a reasonable price and our visit to this location was no exception. Four of us arrived early for breakfast and were quickly seated and served. The food was very good as was the service. Their grits and biscuits & gravy are really tasty.

Super place to get off the interstate and grab a great meal

Another super stop for a nice meal. We stop at Cracker Barrel's all over the states and have only found a few that were not top notch. This is definitely not one of those. Store was clean and service was top notch. Staff was friendly and the food was excellent. We have come to expect great things from Cracker Barrel and this store more than met our expectations.

Dirty crusty dishes

After server brought out my food I noticed that my plate had a crusty residue around the trim. I tried to dismiss with logic however I literally had fresh pancakes in a dirty plate. The server tried to explain the crust away and the manager didn’t feel that this wasn’t a priority and never came out to address the problem. I mean this is a problem isn’t it?

Disheartening…..again.

This is a great place for shopping for gifts, cards, children’s clothing, the odd present, old fashioned candy or if you just want dessert. NOT for a meal though. I have come here many many times with months or years in between times and it’s never gotten any better. This particular time I came to shop and was going to give it another shot. I had coffee, eggs (fried hard), bacon, grits, and biscuits and gravy. The coffee was cold, even when she refreshed it. The eggs were raw which immediately made me nauseous. The grits were NOT cooked with and salt in the water. They tasted like chewable water with chicken base added. I asked for butter to see if that would help the taste, which I would have thought would have been automatic with grits and biscuits but never got it. If I had it would have just been spread on top like toast because they were also cold, and bone hard. The gravy, biscuits and bacon were good. The coffee would have been good if it were hot or even real warm. The waitress and manager were understanding and said they would comp the bill. It’s just disheartening that they can’t get the cooks on board because I really enjoy the place just not the food. They are solely doing business because of the unique shop and the atmosphere.

Good Service Even Though Short-handed

The Cracker Barrel menu has changed everywhere and several of my favorite items are no longer offered. I had the turkey and dressing. The turkey was delicious but the dressing had large chunks of celery that was not tender. My side was very good. My husband enjoyed the trout dinner. Service was good even though they were short-handed.

This is one place we enjoy mreeting our friend for lunch. Their were 4 adults an my friends 9 year old grandson. As usual the place was packed but they managed to seat us right away. I am still in a wheelchair and they had plenty of parking placking out front and ample room inside. We were waited on right away They brought out out our drinks and corn bread muffins anf biscuits. Both were very good. i won't go into detail what each ordered, but everyone said """Iit was great"""". I will say my pork chops excellent, and my my friends meat loaf was great. Had to say that. Service as usual was excellent.

staff and food was awesome! was staying intown for a little get away and this was located right up from the Hotel I stayed at. breakfast and dinner was a great experience plus the store has alot of cool stuff to purchase. def will be back

They have RV parking! Hoorah!

We met a friend there for breakfast on our way from Georgia to South Carolina. We were thrilled to find RV parking because that is always an issue. The place was packed so it took a while to get our food but it was delicious. Our server was very pleasant and attentive. You get so much food. It was a great stop.

This place is worth it every time!!

Simply awesome experience every time we visit here. There was no wait because we usually go pretty early for breakfast. My waiter Mykel was super attentive and courteous, something that’s missing a lot these days in hospitality. The food was great as usual and the atmosphere was homey. Last week our waitress was August and she was just as sweet as pie! I love this location because I’m never disappointed and I will continue to visit weekly.

not what i expected from a cracker barrel

We were on a long round trip from NY to GA and because of the distance we were trying to cover in the time allotted we were eating on the go in the car prior to driving at each gas fill-up stop. In the light of the covid pandemic this was an extra measure we took to provide social distancing for our family. Having had good experiences in the past with Cracker Barrel we elected to only stop at their restaurants on our trip. They are known for courteous prompt service, clean bathrooms, and reliably great food with a large menu selection. However, the stop at this restaurant was disappointing. I read the reviews on the Cracker Barrel App which seemed less than desirable so we went inside to make a take-out order and that is when our impression of the restaurant chain went downhill. While I was graciously greeted by the staff and told that someone would come out to take my order, I waited 15-20 minutes and counted 17 people were seated prior to anyone coming out to take my order. The person who took the order seemed hurried and annoyed that she had to do her job and hurried off when done. Then I waited another 20+ minutes for the food to come out and when it did, it was placed on a shelf and no one called me by name [of which my name was printed on the receipt] to pick it up. So, it just sat there for another 10 minutes getting cold, until I asked the register person where my order was. When we ate the food the insides of the hamburgers were not prepared as requested, they also lacked the condiments, plastic silverware and napkins that were ordered/requested. At this point we were totally upset for having stopped at this restaurant. My wife’s family owned American food type restaurants in the past and she agreed this service was totally unacceptable from a restaurant chain with the Cracker Barrel reputation. I would have been done faster with more courteous service had I sat down at a table and ordered the food to go from the start when I was met by the greeter. The forty-minute plus wait gave me a chance to watch the staff and I noticed the same rag and spray disinfectant was used from menu to menu and table to table. My point is this is not great infection control since any germs that are wiped off one table or menu could be spread to the other table or menu. I think Cracker Barrel has to rethink its ordering process to make it more consumer friendly and its disinfection techniques to prevent the spread of an infection.

Nice Brunch!!

This is the Cracker Barrel in Grovetown, food was good, but still not as nice as the Cracker Barrel at 'Harbison' in Columbia, South Carolina, Waitresses super efficient as they always are at Cracker Barrel!! I love the Old Country Stores in Cracker Barrel restaurants, full of wonderful 'tat' I don't need, but love!!
