Decent breakfast

Because we are still grappling with COVID-19, while I love eating out, we are still ordering from restaurants for delivery or curbside pick up. We were in the mood for breakfast from Cracker Barrel. We ordered the Old Timer's breakfast, Momma's pancake breakfast, and catfish with grits and hash brown casserole. There are marked spaces in front of the restaurant for pickup, with a number to call so the order can be brought out to the customer. Our food was brought out within 5 minutes. Fortunately, I was with my husband and looked in the bag to make sure everything was in there before we left the premises, unlike my husband who never looks. I found that my hash brown casserole was missing. Called the restaurant and was asked if I could come in to get the order. I was just a bit perturbed at first, but understood because they were very busy. I went in and informed the hostesses of my issue and they said they would get the order right out to me. Though I noticed the staff all had on masks, as did I, some customers in the store area had on masks and some did not. I was waiting in the store area and there just didn't seem to be enough room for everyone to be at least six feet apart. After standing in there closely surrounded by folks for what felt like 10 minutes (8 minutes too long), I informed the hostess that I'd be in the car and if they could please bring my food item out to me. The young gentleman who brought out the order minutes later was nice and apologized, which I appreciated. Though I miss dining out, we are now in a new normal. In any case, as long as our favorite restaurants are still serving meals, via pick up or delivery, I am good. Note to Cracker Barrel, it may be a good idea to have the staff member/server check the order against the ticket that is attached before bringing out to the customer. There are probably many folks out there like my husband and will be disappointed when they get home, across town, and realize something is missing from their order! By the way, we enjoyed our breakfast.

We always count on Cracker Barrel to deliver as far as quality of food and service. We weren’t disappointed but we were not pleased that they seated a couple with a lapdog behind us!!!!!! It was on a leash but still roamed the floor and ate scraps off the floor from the table beside us! DONT GET ME WRONG! I don’t hate animals. Just not a fan of them in public restaurants!!!!!!!

Close to hotel but not as good as I expected.

We have eaten at Cracker Barrel many times throughout the country. Most of the time the food has been good and the service good. This one was a bit below the quality of what we have experienced at other CB's. Maybe their quality has slipped over the last year. Probably be some time before we visit another CB.

LAST TIME EVER!

I have been eating at this Cracker Barrel for 30+ years. In recent years the food and service has gotten horrible. Approximately a year ago they brought in a new manager named Ken who straightened things out. I went there this morning for breakfast and had a horrible experience! After my order being wrong and sending it back twice the manager refused to come out and speak to me. He was quick to have the server offer me a free meal that that I refused. I didn’t want a free meal, I just wanted the correct meal served hot. Everything came out cold, not cooked as ordered both times. I left my house and drove 25 miles for this terrible experience. This management is pathetic! You should Bring back the last manager, he had his act together. With the amount of problems that I had today and the managers unwillingness to even speak to me, I will never set foot in this restaurant again!!!!! I will try other Cracker Barrel‘s, because you have good food, you just need more managers that are as good as your food. My advice to ALL is to head east to Lake City Fl or head west to Crestview for the nearest Cracker Barrel if you want a pleasant meal, you WON’T find that at this location.

Terrible Service

I regularly eat at Cracker Barrels when I am traveling because their food and service are consistently good. Such was not the case at the Cracker Barrel in Tallahassee. It was around 2 pm. so I opted for the "fast" meatloaf lunch. First it took a rather long time to simply get a waiter to come by to take the drink order (a glass of water), then it took quite a few minutes to get a glass of water. After 45 minutes of waiting for my lunch, I asked the waiter "Are we getting close?" He said "yes." I waited another 5 minutes then gave up and left. The thing is, I know things happen. For example a couple of days earlier i had eaten lunch at the CB in Crestview FL. A good meal and service were enjoyed; however, on the next day when I went back, I was informed by the hostess that it would be 15 minutes before she could seat me, but due to kitchen help not showing up, it would probably be an hour to get the food. I thanked her and went elsewhere. No problem. I got the feeling there was no control or management watching over the operation in Tallahassee. Not going back.

We were a party of 6. right

We were a party of 6. right from the start, we were greeted by friendly staff. Some of us ate there the day before and we had the same waitress who remembered us. She was awesome, and brought us whatever we needed. At check out, the cashier was super friendly. I ended up leaving my purse, and went back in and they had already taken it to the managers office. Everyone was helpful and we really enjoyed our meal.

Worst of the chain

Since chair restaurants should be the same I can only blame this poor restaurant on the cook and the manager. Waitress was excellent. My breakfast bacon was charred black (how can you serve this), the apples had a couple of pieces ofsomething in then that wasn’t apples and tasted like it didn’t belong. The peach cobbler had 3 pieces of peach, what looked like graham cracker top and odd consistency ice cream on top. This is my third disappointment at this particular restaurant. We will never go back and you should consider elsewhere. If you gotta go to this chain wait for the next exit. I have never been disappointed at another Cracker Barrel restaurant, only this one and three times!

Poor Manager

We have been in Cracker Barrels in almost every state. This cafe was sad by anyone's standards. Our server, Treevan, was very good. Only positive we have. Food was sub par. Servers were not taught to pick up dirty plates, etc. when returning to the kitchen. Seven dirty tables were in our view the entire time we were seated. Restroom was a disaster. Pleasant, happy untrained staff.

Hate to crack on the Crack

It's been awhile since we've been on the road. Stopped in the state capitol for the night and wanted to get our favorite meal at the Crack -- turkey (Thursday special). We were disappointed. I normally don't get the dressing but I was in the mood for some good cornbread dressing. The dressing was not edible. It was green and dry. It looked like and tasted like they used too much sage or that it was out of a box. The second strike was there was no turkey gravy left, so my turkey, dressing and mashed potatoes were without. If I were the kitchen manager, would not have served the dressing. The server was great even though she hadn't earned any stars yet. The meal was delivered in no time.

Unsatisfied with the Quality of the Food

I went to Cracker Barrel and ordered two dinners to go. The food was overly salty, cold, and the included smallest chicken breast I have ever seen. When I called to complain to the manager, she said they do not add salt to the food and its the gravy that is salty. Well, I have come to their restarant frequetly in the last few weeks and I think the quality of the food has definitely gone down hill. I have never had a problem with Cracker Barrel before and will not be going back to the Tallahassee restaurant.

Great experience!!

I'm shocked at the prior reviews, given the experience we encountered today. Perhaps happy folks don't review. I'm glad I didn't read the reviews before my husband and I ventured in. My husband ordered chicken fried steak, and I ordered chicken & dumplings. The food was HOT in temperature and arrived quickly. The food was delicious. I told my husband that the service in a restaurant many times makes a meal. The service was OUTSTANDING!!! ....from the hostess to the lovely waitress, Jazmine. "She's a four star" in more ways than one. She's loaded with friendly personality and I happily recommend. To make the whole experience better, the manager stopped by welcoming one & all.

Ordered disappointing dinner for pickup

Ordered dinner for pickup at 5 pm on Thursday, Dec. 17th. My wife ordered a Squash Casserole for one of her sides. Two small pieces of squash, the rest was breading. I ordered a turkey and dressing dinner. Two small slices of turkey, and a little bit of dressing. Not up to their normal standards!

Lunch on Monday - Daily Special cold.

Lunch on Monday - Sparse crowd. Special was Chicken and Dumplings. Was cold at 11:15 am. Totally unacceptable. My wife brought it home to warm in our own microwave. My Sunday Chicken Dinner was good, and hot. Dirty floors with trash that had not been swept up. Dirty fork. One of the worst in the chain. Good waitress.

Horrible Experience Ever!

First Our server told us his stomach was upset!! Really don’t think this should be shared with customers. FOOD WAS HORRIBLE! Sausage gravy had NO SAUSAGE TASTE AT ALL. And ALL FOOD WAS MIXED UP ON PLATES, amd ALL COLD. Horrible! Don’t go there.
