Great food!

The food was great! I know some Sonny's are having the meat shipped in and not made in house, but this one still makes there own meat. Everything we had was delicious. The only complaint I have is that my husband ordered all you can eat pork and our waitress seemed to purposefully avoid eye contact with him and didn't really check on us. We never got a drink refill so I had to walk up to the bar area with glasses in hand to ask for refills. That sucks!

Don’t order salad with meat unless you specify pulled meat.

A salad with white meat chicken added meant literally a wing breast combo with skin and bones laying atop your salad. Better yet. A butter knife was given to assist with the cut up.

Close but not there

Close but missed on a few things. I got the Sampler to go. The service was lacking. During the middle of telling the person working the counter our order, the phone rang. She answered and took an order to go right then! When leaving I told the same worker they were out of toothpicks and she said she was sorry but they were out. I replied she had to be kidding, a Barbecue place with no toothpicks! She then looked and brought a new box out to refill the dispenser. Thee ribs were good. The sides were good but i wished they would have included salt and pepper to-go-packs without asking since I ordered the baked potato. The chicken tasted good but one of my two pieces was primarily the back and the other was a tiny drum stick. The sliced pork was terrible. Wish I would have picked the pulled pork. I’m not writing this place off, just going to order differently.

Still My Fave

We were traveling through and discovered that we were close by Sonny's. Our Server was Kelsey and she was thorough and quick. Kelsey got our water glasses and our orders of Redneck Egg Rolls with a side of Coleslaw and Pulled Pork Loaded Tots. These could have been easily shared by themselves. However they were our lunch and so delicious was every bite!! Definitely one of our better lunches on the road!!

Greasy fatty gross

I ordered the Cuban sandwich and potato salad I thought the sandwich was only supposed to have pulled pork but it had sliced pork as well which was very tough and fatty at the same time - the sandwich was so greasy I wanted to throw up. I wish I did not order it. Potato salad was good just your basic potato salad. This was my first and will be the last time I eat at this joint.

Rib Sandwich

A colleague and I grabbed lunch at Sonny’s. Sonny’s is usually a solid choice, but today they exceeded my expectations. The new rib sandwich is delicious! It was overflowing with moist, juicy chunks of rib meat. Of course the bbq sauce selection was a great complement. Service was on point though the tea was only okay. Not the best bbq in town, but this day they did well.

GREAT BBQ LUNCH!

Best bbq lunch I've had in a long time and I'm from Texas. Portion sizes were big for the price. Sliced brisket was very tender as was pork and chicken! Great service as well!

Don't use takeout window or else....

Don't use takeout window or you run the risk of getting the worst of everything, Ordered St. Luis style rib dinner with coleslaw and backed beans. Asked for mustard sauce as there other is very sweet. Got home and ribs were so overcooked and blackened. They were the worst. Then they slathered the sweet sauce to hide how badly they were cooked. Coleslaw was warm too. This happens to take out customers. Threw dinner away. Writing corporate office, need quality control. Never going back. Oh, I got the mustard sauce.

Satisfying Visit

Ordered a feast meal. Everything was awesome. The ribs could have been a little more tender. There was so much food for your money. I love the chicken so much that I don't put bbq sauce on it. I want to but it is just so delicious that it's like putting steak sauce on a good steak! The cornbread is always amazing. I will make another trip!

Ok- very small portions. Ribs were tender. Mac & cheese was good. Got a 2 meat combo but seriously only 2 ribs & a 1/4 cup of brisket? Waitress was attentive- wear a mask in the dining room. Not busy on a Tuesday night during Hurricane Sally.

Go somewhere else

How bad could BBQ be? Well, for the first time in years, I had terrible briscuit. Had a sandwich that was sitting in a puddle of grease. Bread was soggy from it. Sauces offered were good, but nothing special. Mac and cheese may have well been Kraft. The spiked pink lemonade was so icky sweet. Service from Dimitri was excellent, that was the only thing redeeming about the experience. Do not recommend!

Great BBQ and Friendly Staff!

Stopped in around lunch time on a Sunday while roadtripping to south Florida. Our only complaint is the 30 min wait...but that is a sign it must be good! Service was fast, friendly and on top of everything. Food was delicious, and I am picky with bbq. We liked all of the sauces, hard to pick a fav. Despite being a chain, our first Sonny's experience felt more like we were at the one and only location!

Small Pork Ribs

The portions were extremely small. I received two ribs about the size of my middle finger and one the size of my pinky.; They were also dry and overcooked..... What a shame. I will suggest not doing any more renovations and focusing on the food... What a horrible experience....

Baby back ribs for the carnivores.
