Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I love going to this bakery in the morning and buying some of their wonderful crusty tasty breads and rolls. Their boules are terrific as is their brownies, tarts and cookies. Try something different every time. They never disappoint.

I stumbled across this bakery by accident. What a stoke of luck to find quality baked goods for great prices. My husband and I went there for breakfast everyday of our vacation. The sour Rye and croissants are the best! I also tried the Key Lime pie with did not disappoint!!! The staff was also super friendly.

Wow....I could not rave enough about this bakery! There are three of these fantastic places...one in Fort Pierce, one on Colorado Ave in Stuart and another on Dixie Highway. Our favorite is the one on Dixie Highway which we frequent a few times a week. Their biscotti, pastries and breads you could die for are all displayed beautifully. I buy fresh breads every few days here. The croissants are flaky and buttery....the Boule’s great....the baguettes are crusty and flavorful. Sourdough is terrific. Bring your appetite because they serve breakfast and lunch as well. Be prepared to wait on line but service is great and attentive.

For nine years I went to Importicos for one item—Bear Claws. They were the most delectable pastry I’ve ever had the joy of gobbling up. They were stuffed full of the most scrumptious mixture of chocolate and cheese ever, and actually felt heavy when you picked one up. Suddenly, without warning, the Bear Claws became scarce. I was told they would only be having them on weekends, but I stopped in at least two weekends a month for a couple of years, and there was no sign of my beloved Bear Claws. Fast forward to this week—I was thrilled at the sight of a couple of Bear Claws in the pastry case last Sunday, and promptly bought one. Then came the disappointment. The wonderful, generous cheese and chocolate filling had been reduced to a measly amount—a tiny fraction of what used to fill them. The pastry was dry and boring. What happened? It’s quite obvious that there is a different pastry chef/owner/manager or all of the above. In addition, what happened to all the prices that clearly marked each item in the pastry case? They have completely disappeared. On a positive note, the person behind the counter was very pleasant, friendly, and helpful. Not something I have experienced at Importicos for a long time. I have watched this place go steadily downhill for a number of years now. If ownership/management doesn’t do something in a hurry, they will find themselves putting a lock on the door.

I have been a customer at Importico's for many years. They were the best bakery around for a very long time, and now they are the worst. I don't know if it is ownership issues, management issues, or what. They have been steadily declining for a few years now. The line on weekends often went out the door. I went in at 11 am today, a Sunday, and they had NO pastries. None! And there were only two people eating inside. The pastry case used to be full of delectable items, neatly organized, and priced. Now when they do have pastries, there are no prices, and they are disorganized. Most of the time the counter service varies from unfriendly to just plain rude. I am disgusted, because this was our family's go to bakery.

Worst quality of desserts. Expensive prices, they don't put price tags anymore. Old tasty bread and sweet products. Service is angry lazy slow moving sales associates. The owner is never there to manage them. The Dixie store has the tables and chairs taken from ou Because they applied on the post Corona pandemic small business help. That's why they have this empathy stimulating signs , We re closed on Sundays because of not staff available " This signage and business model help them prove their need in the federal small business Employee protection grants. Pathetic family business spoiled by the rich Martin county old folks who still come an buy because of location

Have tried this place several times. The pastries may look the part but execution is lacking and they are just not top quality. I have tried it several times and always a disappointment. Their bread loaves look beautiful but have not tried it.

IMPORTICO’S Bakery is worth a visit. Stopped by for coffee and biscotti, they had Colombian and Kenyan plus decaf and hot tea. They make a delicious Pistachio biscotti others available were chocolate and almond. The remaining pastries will absolutely tempt you to make several return visits. Friendly staff and also serving breakfast and lunch.

The food is really good. But I work in the same plaza as them and they are the worst business in the plaza about cleaning up the trash they spill in the parking lot around their dumpster. It's a huge eye sore for customers.

It is lovely to have a good Italian Bakery in the coastal city of Stuart Florida. Crusty breads are hard to come by in commercial grocery stores and fresh baked breads from a bakery is a comfort. Importico's Bakery has this comfortable atmosphere with stacks and baskets laden with breads and rolls of all sorts. And then there are the pastries. Ah the varieties, Italian and French pastries, cookies, pies, cakes and quiche. Yes, a real comfort atmosphere.

It's as if grandma baked everything. Nothing is bad, it's all home made and great. Breakfast, lunch sandwiches are all fresh and good.

I soooo much want to give this place a good review, but alas, I cannot. I have been going here for about 6 months now since moving to the area. It's really the only bakery around. Most of the items are okay. The butter cookies are very good as well as the chocolate croissants and my wife likes their cranberry scones, thats when I can get them! It seems about half of the time I try to get the scones they are out, and thats by 8 am. You would think if they were that popular they would make more. Apple turnovers are bland. Chocolate and cranberry muffins are very good as well as the lemon poppy scones. Most of the pastries are very good as well. Kaiser rolls are good, but also sometimes hard to get. The NY rye bread is way over cooked as well as the Italian bread. Be sure to follow your helper around to make sure they give you exactly what you ask for. A number of times I have gotten home and when I opened my bag what I asked for was not in there. I make sure now I look in my bag before I leave. Just last week they did it to me. And I have been here a few times when the workers were getting into arguments with each other in front of the customers. Unprofessional. This place is hit or miss. Wish they were more consistent. I will continue to go here and stick with the items I know are good.
