Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Inflation is taking hold everywhere and here is no exception. My husband and I had a date night and Riverwalk came highly recommended. However, our dinner date turned into an appetizer date when we saw the prices on the menu. Price notwithstanding, the appetizers were...very good. We ordered the calamari and ahi tuna nachos. We sat outside by the river and watched the myriad of people walk by. The service was attentive but not obtrusive.More

This really is the best restaurant in downtown Stuart. Serves a higher flair of dinner options and food is expertly prepared. It is a smaller space, however, and gets noisy inside. Also, dinner reservations are a must unless you don’t mind a wait.

The quality of the food was very good to excellent but the service was some of the most rude and abrupt that we have ever experienced. The hostess seemed to be put off that she had to speak with us, ignored us twice and then...finally seated us with a lecture about how we couldn’t expect to walk in without reservations, which we had actually made earlier that evening. When I reminded her that we had reservations (which we told her when we entered) so that she didn’t hold a table for no reason she quipped “you should have called us days before” (so why did you give us a reservation tonight, I thought.). The waiter was as impatient with us as one could possibly imagine…I have only seen similar treatment in Paris when obnoxious, drunk Americans are rude.More

This place should be rated #1! Absolutely outstanding. Very friendly service. Amazing food. Hub and I shared the huge bowl of very tender and flavorful mussels. We each got a salad; I added blackened mahi mahi to mine. Hub got the flourless chocolate cake for...dessert. It looks divine and he reports that it is delicious. We will be back!More

Until Thursday this was our favorite restaurant in Stuart. Dishes we had ordered many times before were awful e.g fried oysters. The fish soup tasted like beef chili, a Buffalo chicken sandwich came with no hot sauce. Then to add insult to injury we were...charged for 2 bottles of wine when we had only had one. We had been there 2 weeks before and had a similar thought not nearly as bad experience.More

Over rated & over priced IMO. The PEI mussels appeared to be on the Nutrisystem Diet with Marie Osmond. :>). Double pork chop was very good, the chicken Francis was marginal. The key lime pie & cappuccino were delicious. I suggest having lunch there instead...of dinner.More

Enjoyed a delightful dinner at Riverwalk Café & Oyster Bar in Stuart Florida. We began with raw oysters, sampling all four types available. Delicate and super fresh and perfectly chilled. For our mains we had their Ginger Glazed Scottish Salmon served grilled and then baked...with fresh ginger with a mix of soy sauce, sherry, and honey. Served on very light jasmine rice and sautéed spinach. We also had Lane Snapper pan seared with white wine Beurre Blanc as well as their other special Black Grouper with a light watermelon wine sauce. All the fish was outstanding- cooked to perfection. For desert we enjoyed a coconut cream bread pudding with vanilla ice cream and fresh whipped cream with strawberries. Becky did an outstanding job assisting us with choices and serving our meal. Riverwalk is a lively and busy fun restaurant that shouldn’t be missed.More

Cosy, fun place for dinner and drinks. Very nice wine selection but we brought our own (corkage fee). Service was great and the raw oysters for our appetizer were very tasty. Our waiter Brian was awesome and very personable. He provided excellent descriptions of various...menu items, as well as the different varieties of oysters available.. All of our seafood dishes were very good but the fish was just slightly overcooked. However our dishes were still very good. Would definitely come back.More

I’ve probably eaten more than 10,000 restaurant meals, some great, some not so good but today Riverwalk reached a new level of amazement. Have eaten at this establishment twice. The first time was excellent the second time fair at best but was absolutely amazed upon...receiving my bill only to find a charge for pickles on a hamburger!!! Really???? Are things that tough in the restaurant industry that a charge is added for condiments. Was going to ask for some salt and pepper but didn’t want to exceed my charge card credit limit. Make your own decision but doubtful we’ll return.More

We drive up to Stuart twice a year from West Palm Beach. A great, clean, and friendly town that gets busier every time we drive up. We always try a different place to eat each time. This restaurant has such a great vibe and décor....We sat at the bar. Derek was fabulous and very attentive. The oyster selection was amazing and so fresh. The wine list was good. The shrimp and crab soup of the day was so good. Homemade hot sauce was on point as well. Fish tacos and Wagyu Beef sliders hit the spot. It will not be our last time here. Go check them out!More

This is our second time here. It’s only the second time because of geography. I’m from Rhode Island and I have to say this is the best lobstah bisque I’ve ever had. Same goes for the oysters Rockefeller. We are here for 2 weeks and...will definitely visit again.More

A bit on the expenso side, service was a bit slow. Food was good. Nothing very special about it. The view restaurant we wanted had a long wait. Would not go back to either.
