My wife and I were on our way to Carrabas, but due to bumper/bumper traffic, we opted to visit this restaurant that was recommended by a friend of my wife. Shrimp Alfredo sucked, no flavor, bland, and watery. My wife ordered veal cutlet Parmigiano, bland...and was 1 of those frozen veal patties. Over $50.00 better thrown out the window. My wife said, let's take the rest home, thinking she could season it up, we wound up throwing it out.More

Today is my 49th anniversary. My husband and I wanted to go to a beautiful, romantic restaurant that had great food. La Borgata has been this place for us these past 5 years. We haven’t been out to eat since way before COVID and we...did not realize how it may have affected many eating establishments. We were quite surprised when we walked in to our beautiful La Borgata and it was arranged very differently- tables placed far apart, all decor removed, and very “clean” looking. Since we were dressed up and looking for ambiance we decided to leave(BIG mistake). As we entered our vehicle, a person who may have been the owner, spoke to us about why we were leaving. We explained we would return when our lovely La Borgata returned to its pre COVID decor. She told us to wait and she ran back in and came out with a beautiful bottle of wine and said “ Happy Anniversary!” Wow! Who does that???? That was such a classy thing to do that we are still talking about it. We will be going back soon to La Borgata because the staff are caring people. (BTW, the food here is fantastic. Pick up is also same quality as dine in.) Thank you for making our anniversary special!!More

I know with the current CDC guidelines on how a restaurant needs to be run should not ruin your dining experience. We walked into the restaurant and it was cluttered like you were at the end of a wedding and the help just stacked the...chairs and tables anywhere they had room. We sat at our table and was handed a virtual menu that you had to scan with your Iphone to see the menu. I like this idea for the safety end of it but you need to clean the menu off each time it goes from table to table. This menu had more finger prints and dirty smudges on it than a door handle at a public restroom. Thank God we had some hand sanitizer to clean off the menu. We ordered some appetizers first and our drink order. After along time our drinks came and the waitress took our dinner order. The waitress spent most of the time on the phone taking orders for takeout. There was only two tables in the restaurant that had people sitting waiting for their meals. The salads came out first before our appetizers arrived. After 20 minutes the appetizers arrived and they were cold. We could not get the waitress attention to let her Know that it was cold. The next time we saw the waitress was about five minutes later when she arrived with our main course and dropped the plates and ran. We were missing some sides and needed extra sauce for one of the pasta dishes. When she finally came back to check on our table we asked for our check so we could end this nightmare. The food was OK, not as good as it was in the past. I know restaurants depend on takeout now a days because of our current situation. You should not let takeout service take priority of your in house service. Have the staff to do it or make a choice, TAKEOUT or In house service.More

This restaurant is cluttered and needs a good makeover. When you walk in to the entrance there are storage boxes and items that should be put away. The food used to be good but the last few times it has gone downhill. It is a...family owned restaurant that has been there for many years but it is just not being given the same care it was given in previous years. I hope it returns to the good restaurant it once was.More

This place needs Gordon Ramsey to come in and do a make over. We started coming here over 14 years, but haven't been back for close to 3 years. The quality of the food has taken a dive and there seems to be no attention...being put on the front of the house. When we were sat we opened our menus to going them greasy, torn and one had bread crumbs in it. As we looked around the dining room we notice several dirty tables and no one cleaning them, they sat that way for most of our dinner. We looked at the selection of wines they offer and did not recognize one. Most of the varietals were from the same winemaker and subpar for house wine. We all ordered soup which was excellent, but just a little too salty for my palette. My one friend ordered the stuffed veal chop, which turned out to be a veal loin (no bone) butterflied with prosciutto, spinach and mushrooms on top. The demi glace was delicious but the veal itself was overly cooked well done and chewy. My other friend have the chicken franchese, which was very good. I chose the veal parmesan, which was very disappointing. The veal portion was big, but the veal cutlet was pound out so thin that the bread crumb crust was thicker than the veal. The spaghetti side takes as if it was previously cooked and just warmed up a little. There are too many good restaurant to gamble on a bad meal. We won't be coming back here unless it's for pizza take out.More

A favorite, hidden gem. Restaurant is in a small strip mall, looks more like a pizza place from the front, not a lot of curb appeal, but once inside you are transported to a totally different environment. Small, cozy restaurant with entertainment on the weekends....Each time we have been there we order something different and have never been disappointed. This time I ordered a chicken dish with sun dried tomatoes and pesto sauce, the flavor was out of this world. My husband ordered the pork shank and it was also excellent.More

Yummy Italian food. We’ve come here several times over the years when visiting my mother-in-law and had good meals and service. The entrance is a traditional take away pizza place the other side is a cozy throwback dining room. The special appetizer last night was...delish- fried Zucchini sticks with a garlic Parmesan aioli. Keep in mind this is huge so I wouldn’t order for just two. The pasta dishes we had were tasty and the garlic knots were addictive. Last night they had a special almond tiramisu and it was light in texture and not too sweet. A great ending Our server Julie was kind and attentive.More

Extremely RUDE owners! Family owned & operated by son (Chef) & sister Teresa (manager & server)- Have gone a couple of times & each time has been a huge let down. Very outdated restaurant in need of a major renovation- (looks like it hasn't been...freshened up since the 1970's). Not only has service been poor & extremely slow but each time our orders have never been correct! (Not sure why because the place is never busy) Wine was warm & salad was wilted & old! Last visit Teresa waited on us & she was extremely cold & barely communicated to us even when she was taking our order! She & her brother (Chef) look so miserable & not only are they rude & dismissive to their customers but act like they are extremely inconvenienced by serving you. Deal breaker for us was when Teresa screwed up our order & instead of apologizing & making the effort to correct the situation she literally blamed us for the screw up & refused to make things right or compensate us for her mistake! Worst customer service EVER & it really doesn't seem that this business is going to be around much longer because having such an obvious toxic work environment is an atrocious way to run a business!More

We've been to this restaurant many times over the past few years. Last night we were there again with a group of friends. The service was so attentive. Being long term customers, they knew exactly who drank which wine, no need to order. It comes...to your table. The food was so good, their veal and fish dishes were especially good. We were served a dish of mini cannolis at the end which were outstanding! If you love Southern Italian food and want a friendly restaurant with personal service, this is it.More

We preordered a pizza for pickup 1 hour early on a Saturday night knowing they would be busy. I showed up at the time we requested for pickup and paid right away. Pizza was not ready yet so had to wait. Many people come in...and pick up orders and about 20 minutes goes by and still no pizza. I ask if the pizza has even been made yet at this point as I am running late for an event. The woman working checks again and realized it was on top of the pizza oven the whole time. My 20 minutes was not wasted as I casually observed the staff and their total lack of any communication with each other. It reminds me that having a toxic culture is a terrible way to run a business.More

We have been to this restaurant a number of times over the years, but this time we were not impressed.
