I went to this place for the first time based on a recommendation. I was a bit leery because of the location. But have no fear it is far removed from the crazy downtown party scene. Even have valet parking. PRO TIP: Almost every parking downtown is $10 so don't go looking for deals and miss your reservation. So the decor is like most steak houses. Dimmer lighting with wood accents and those little chocolate mints. We ordered the carpaccio and wow for someone that doesn't like uncooked meat. This was delicious. It was very well seasoned, cappers on top and parmesan cheese. The center had a stack of bread (very fluffy) like triangles and just paired nicely. For dinner, you have to try the filet Wellington. As a 6'3 (190lbs) man I didn't even finish my dish (pic attached). That's how big the serving was. It comes with mash potatoes and asparagus so huge you would think they were genetically mortified. (We have the technology ) the food was delicious. And I'm excited to go back. Try it. Good steakhouse and many more options I can't wait to try. #ChopChop

We didn't have a reservation and were asked to wait at the bar, which is comfortable and serves very good cocktails. The wait was shorter than announced. We really enjoyed the food. I had the beef Wellington and it was perfectly cooked, melt-in-your-mouth beef and a thin crispy crust. Very nice considerate service. A gem

Excellent service , espectacular dinner My husband is vegan and they have a great menu , the vegan chef Jane came to the table to speak to my husband , he was in heaven , our waiter Alan was super polite, friendly and everything he recommended was great , delicious , portions are perfect . The dessert créeme brûlée it will melt in your mouse . Thank you as well to Andre very friendly, he took our pictures . Another thank you to the hostess , Rubi and the other lady , sorry forgot her name , but they are excellent for that position . We can wait to go back

A disappointing evening.

Our favorite place when we are in Orlando, but we may pass next trip. We arrived at 6 pm and there was no crowd so we were promptly seated at a booth. As dinner progressed others were seated closer than 6 feet from us. One couple only a partition away. We ordered a nice bottle of wine which our waiter had difficulty pouring all evening. My romaine wedge salad was very good, but I asked two people before getting pepper. My husband loved his Caprese salad. My filet was served medium rare with a slight char. My husband’s NY strip had too much fat/ grizzle. Mushrooms were more than enough to share. No one came by to inquire whether our steaks were cooked properly. We never saw a manager on Thursday evening. Our waiter even asked my husband if he would like to take his steak home. He replied that he could not eat it due to the grizzle. There was no response. We finished our wine and left. This is not the Kres we have come to know. I am giving this 3.5 rating .

I would give 5 stars for our waiter that was super attentive and knowledgeable..... But the food was really disappointing and pricey! Nothing special that justifies how expensive it was We had the duck ($38)and the carbonara with elk ($50) plain flavors... the food didn’t seem fresh! we were both disappointed.....sadly

DON’T GO HERE IF YOU LIKE GOOD STEAK AND GOOD MANAGEMENT

I ordered a ribeye but was served a ny strip. When I said it was tough, the server informed me that the kitchen said you shouldn’t order a ribeye less than medium because it needs to be cooked longer to render the fat and make it tender (not only is this a crazy thing to be told at a steakhouse, but they did not realize they had served a ny strip instead of a ribeye). The server offered a filet instead. The filet came out off-color and mealy. I ended up only eating the potato gratin for dinner. When I got the bill, I saw it was ny strip instead of ribeye and nothing was comped except for the steaks I didn’t eat. Rather than apologizing for getting my order wrong or trying to recover the experience, the manager, John, was condescending and offensive and asked where to lay the blame. In the end, he only took the potatoes off the bill. John has no business managing a restaurant and the owners would be wise to remove him.

Truly Great Restaurant

We had a great date night here. It was perfect from the start, we arrived one minute prior to our Open Table reservation time and despite the hour wait for those without a reservation we were immediately walked straight to our table. Absolutely no wait. The waitress was kind and appropriately attentive without being intrusive. The food was certainly the highlight. The shrimp and bacon Mac and cheese is some of the best Mac and cheese I have ever tasted and the blue cheese wedge salad was absolutely delicious. The salmon was also very good as well as the Truffle fries and the brookie dessert was great. The décor is nice and it's not crowded or overly loud. The food does not come out especially fast but we were in no rush. The prices are reasonable. Thanks for a wonderful meal!

Phenomenal Date Night

Every moment from the beginning to the end of our visit was phenomenal. We had the Grilled Pesfasa Octopus & Shrimp appetizer and it was delicious. My husband ordered the 16oz N.Y Strip, I order the 8oz Filet Mignon and we both agreed it was the best we’ve ever had; cooked perfectly at medium rare. We chose the Crispy Brussel Sprouts and the Shrimp & Bacon Mac n Cheese as our sides and those were also very tasty. The serving size of the a la carte sides is enough for two people to share. Our waiter, Rodney, was wonderful and made the perfect wine suggestion based on our preferences. I highly recommend Kres Chophouse for a romantic evening and a delightful dinner.

We had dinner on Monday, December 20, 2021. We arrived at 6:45pm and did not receive our meal until 8:00pm. Our server, Allie was pleasant enough but I believe that the restaurant was short staffed. My heart went out to the very distinguished couple next to us who were celebrating their 46th Wedding Anniversary. They had been sitting there long before we arrived yet were served after our party. My heart went out to them because it was supposed to be a special evening for them. Let me be clear; the food was absolutely delicious. The service was absolutely poor. My baked potato was delivered to the table ice cold. They had to know that in the kitchen when it was sent to the table. I am always reluctant to write a poor review of a restaurant that I have visited. I look forward to the day when all businesses will be fully staffed and can deliver the outstanding service and products that I know that they can deliver. Until then, we must all suffer some annoying inconveniences.

Outstanding Orlando Steakhouse

All of the food here is well prepared. For appitisers the Maine lobster bisque or flash fried calamari vesuvio are very good. For entrees the filet wellington, black grouper or ribeye (20 oz) rare are excellent. For dessert the creme Brulee or white chocolate bread pudding are delicious. Service here is professional. The restaurant has a refined upscale ambiance.

This is our favorite Restaurant The menu it’s great , so delicious Specially for my husband ( Vegan ) The vegan menu it’s amazing , tasteful The chefs Jennifer and Heidi are very friendly and attentive They always go to say Hi and ask about the food and for any sugestión . Our server Alin is just the best , he goes above and beyond to make us feel like home . The hostess are very friendly specially Amy , she is a cutie . John the manager is excellent , always checking all over the floor is everything is ok . If you coming to visit to Orlando Include this restaurant !! Just the best

Not Cheap BUT worth every penny

We dined at the chophouse on 10th of March 23, luckily, we booked, on arrival we had drinks at the bar, while we waited for the evening menu to become available. Our server offered us a choice of tables, we started with steak tar tar and oysters, Followed by steak and lamb chops and sides, desert cream caramel, at no point was we rushed, our server was great we had such laugh with her. A great wine list which we took advantage of. The next time we are in the area we will differently call again

Valet parking and nearby parking garage. Friendly wait staff. The seasoning and preparation produce a steak so flavorful and pleasant to my palette that I return over and over again, (year over year). My five guests were each delighted with their steaks, chicken, potatoes and Brussel sprouts. One piece (complimentary birthday) cheesecake was sufficient for the other five to each enjoy a bite. We were all too stuffed to consider dessert. I’m gluten & dairy free so I passed entirely. I deducted one star because, in reality, our table was too small for the six of us to be comfortable. I did ask to be moved. The restaurant has only two tables which can accommodate eight guests and those two tables were both reserved.

Amazing dinner, top notch staff!

We went here for our anniversary dinner and it was perfect. The drinks were delicious and the food amazing. I venture to say it was the best meal I've ever eaten, my husband said it was the best steak he's ever had (we've been to Flemmings, Capital Grille, the big ones). It literally melted in your mouth. The service was phenomenal, at a time where I feel like places are short staff and therefore short tempered with their guests everyone who approached our table was phenomenal, engaging and made the evening. As an anniversary treat they gave us bread pudding, well I had never had bread pudding, I was like meh isn't that like grandma food well let me tell you I think this was one of the best things I've EVER eaten besides the steak. It was so unique and the whiskey sauce. We had the best time, thank you for a wonderful meal and anniversary. I will 100% go back when I'm in the area in the mean time I'll be dreaming of that salad, steak and bread pudding!!

it was a ruined birthday

We came from New Jersey to Florida to celebrate my birthday. I chose Kres Chophouse because it had good reviews. But I was so disappointed from service in this restaurant. Oysters were delicious, my steak was also really good, but my friend got undercooked steak and after we asked to take it back to the kitchen still it was bad. Our server ( I don’t know his name because he never introduced hisself) was so slow. We were waiting for our drinks about 15 minutes, after we finished our food it also took for him about 20 minutes to bring as a check. And also my friend went to restroom, found our server (twice) and asked him to bring cake with candle for me, but he forgot about that and food runner came to the table with cheesecake and was asking who’s order was that👍🤣 amazing surprise. We work in New Jersey in Restaurant and we were so disappointed from service. No one cared about us and ruined our special dinner.
