This was one of those places I've been passing by about every other month and kept saying, I should stop in & try. I finally did. It is very similar in set up to falafel stands around the Mediterranean so the name fits. As for the seating, as commented by others, there are a few picnic tables. A falafel stand on a Mediterranean street offers no tables, you stand. I ordered falafel. It was a soft Iraqi style pita piled high with salad on top of a slathering of hummus. The falafel came in medallions instead of balls & was pretty much the best tasting I've had in the states since my mother in law passed. I started off eating it with a fork because it was impossible to fold & eat. I will stop in again.

And a "stand" is what this place is - 4 picnic tables outside is all you'll get for seating, and pray that the sun is not beating down on the tarp covering three of them, or you'll bake (or pray for a breeze). But you're going for the food, which is pretty good - apparently the place has garnered all sorts of attention (good reviews and "foodie awards"). When we ordered, we were told of a special they were having, which gave us a pita, french fries, and drink for around $10 per person - food was tasty and well-prepared, and the portions were large (good luck eating the pita like you would a regular gyro). Folks working inside were very friendly and helpful (told us about the special, which saved us a couple bucks, and since it was our first visit, they comped us a dish of hummus and some other dip, along with some cut up pitas). Will probably find a reason to go back, and you should give it a try. If I could give 3.5 stars, I would, as a 4 is a little high given the seating situation -

The attention was excellent, we tried everything -from hummus to baclavas. The shish and kofte kebab were to die for. Meat was tender and well seasoned. Do not miss out on this gem in town.

We really liked the Hummus. It was creamy and tasty! Strange that it was served with what looked to be 2 of those thin Mexican tortillas (the smallest ones). We really needed more little "tortillas" to align with the amount of hummus. We're supposed to eat the rest with a spoon? Unfortunately, we did not like the gyro. The gyro meat was kind of "spongy" - not firm like it usually is when it is freshly cut. That creeped us out.

Have had a hankerin' for a Gyro for a few weeks now and was on my way home and stopped by. It was all ok. But for $11, I expected a bit more. I'll be back when convenient, but won't go too far out of the way to stop back. Worth a try.

I had dinner there on a Friday night. At first I was surprised with the outdoor (parking lot) seating, but at the end I had a great experience. I ordered a beef sandwich and a chicken sandwich both were on a pita bread, the manager/owner was very nice to offer me a free appetizer dish (pictures attached) because this was my first time there. Taste was good, felt like I am eating in a fancy Turkish restaurant (for a second) due to the good taste and the good service, but for half the price. Will go back.

Chicken was amazing. Gyro was good. Pita was great. Tzatziki needs work. Egg rolls were very good. Picnic table seating. Would go again.

Quick and delicious! Excellent quality beef, lamb, and more. Don't let (relatively) cold weather here in FL winters keep you away. We went on a rainy, coldish night, and the friendly owner lowered rolling walls and it was very comfortable.

I've been going to this restaurant since they opened. The food is awesome and all homemade. I especially like their baked zucchini vs. fried. And their Gyros are giant. Enough for two people. Great service and great food.

It's a quick and easy shack located in the center of a parking lot. The food is authentic Mediterranean and the quantity is a fairly large portion. If you are wanting semi healthy and flavor go for the sliced Gyro meat and the Shepard's salad which is cucumber tomato, onion, feta, olive in a vinaigrette. It's a tasty combo! Service with a smile. Note: No indoor seating, minimal seating, covering over the seating but no AC so consider the weather when going. Great for take out!

We went here on whim and were pleasantly surprised. The service was excellent. I didn't ask but I'm assuming I spoke to the owner, who was very friendly and honest about what was and wasn't fresh. We ordered the gyro and the chicken bowel and were pleasantly surprised. The meat was excellent. It was by far the most flavorful gyro I've ever had and the tomatoes and onions were very fresh. You can tell they pick their ingredients carefully. The perfect bite was taking a bit of pita bread, stacking some gyro, tomato, and onion, and finishing with yogurt or their spicy sauce on top. The chicken was very good as well. I'll definitely be back to try a few more things (if I don't get in the habit of just getting the gyro over and over again).

This place serves the best, most sophisticated Mediterranean dishes in just a simple manner. I am personally a very picky eater but the food here was just amazing. The portions were very generous and for us it was extremely good value for money. If you want to impress a vegeterian friend, or a meat lover, or both at the same time, don't miss out on Shish.Co! A must try... Enjoy...

Huge portions at great prices.... and tastes amazing! I travel to Maitland for work 5 days a week, and I make it a point to visit at the very least every other week. The baklava is homemade by the owners' wife, and being sufficiently delicious, goes pretty fast. Do yourself a favor and give it a try!
