We got reservations for the early bird special when the entire menu is $19.95 except for catch of the day. Our old fashions were good. Three of us split a chaser salad with fresh anchovies that was divided and served up in 3 bowls for us from the kitchen. The food service was nicely paced. Did not feel rushed. Prime rib and rack of lamb along with sides of potatoes and asparagus were excellent. Service was timely with multiple people making sure needs were met. Ambiance of restaurant is great with harbor view. An excellent deal!

Nice water views and great happy hour deals 4-6pm. Be seated for dinner before 6pm and the early bird special is $20 for most entrees. Had the lamb chops which were prepared very well and was a bargain at $20 for 6 lamb chops. Will return again.

Spent time at the Lighthouse Grill, first we meant Candy the hostess before our reservation and she offered us a early sitting. We spent time having a couple of happy hour drinks before dinner. Our server Rachel was right on the spot, welcoming us, explaining the specials and answering any questions that we had. The early bird specials of $19.99 was a great deal. We started with a very nice Cesar salad and excellent French Onion soup. Rachel assured us the scallops and the grilled tuna was very good and she was spot on. Both of our dinners where excellent. Rachel checked on us a few times to make sure everything was good. Our dinner was A five star and our server Rachel Made it a delightful evening, we will be back and hope Rachel is working.

Frankly, the discount food offer between 5:00 and 6:30 of 19.99 for all entrees and 4 dollars off drinks cannot be beat. The American style menu offers something for everyone in ample portions. Coupled with a nice view of the lighthouse and sea while dining al fresco it pretty much is one of the best places to eat in Marathon. I have eaten here several times and have yet to be dissappointed. While reservations are recommended, especially for the popular time that the discounts are offered, I have also just walked in and been seated. Be aware that the ambient sound could be a problem for those with hearing sensitivities, as it is a lively atmosphere. I would call ahead just to make sure about seating and the discount offer.

Eight friends recently had dinner at the Lighthouse Grill. Three had the strip steak, Four had prime rib and one had the filet mignon. Everyone was very pleased with their dinners. All came with garlic mashed potatoes and some had green beans and some had asparagus as the green vegetable. The vegetables were fantatsic. We went at 5 PM and got all our entrees for $20 each. From 5-6 PM, all entrees are $20. Except for a minor problem with the check, all went smoothly. We did get charged for a 20% tip on the full menu price, but had no problem with that.

We called for reservations earlier in the day and when we arrived were told no outside seating was or would be available so we opted for inside. The food was good, nothing exceptional our waiter was not very attentive and also not too polite.
Poor organization as well. We were brought someone else's appetizer and could have eaten it because the server dropped it at our table and split but we notified them it was not ours. Then we were brought bread and 2 minutes later brought more bread which we didn't request to begin with.
Prices were a little on the high side which would not have been a problem but the service was not up to the cost.
Very disappointed . We had looked forward to eating here upon our arrival in Marathon.

My hubby & I stayed at the Hyatt hotel which is directly in front of the Lighthouse Grill restaurant. Many people recommended this place to us and we thoroughly enjoyed both lunch and a light dinner there. The shrimp tacos and chopped salad were really good, as was the shrimp cocktail and conch chowder. We sat outside overlooking the pool and there was live music there in the evening.

We are staying at the Marriott hotel next door so we decided to bring in the 2 fish fillets we caught (a Mahi and a Mackerel) to have them cooked for the hook and cook that many restaurants in the area provide. We just didn’t feel like driving and the restaurant we went to the night before had closed at 3 PM on Sunday (Sparky’s). We had eaten at this restaurant before and had called ahead to confirm that they would provide this service so we were aware that they would charge a little more than Sparky’s ($12) but were not expecting the $54 charge for 2 fish fillets and 2 side options! The waiter did not explain the charges to us beforehand and was not helpful afterward and was very short with us. The manager that we encountered on the way out was the same. We brought the fish and this price was outrageous and the service not worth it. No salad came with it either. The attitude of the staff was quite snobby and dismissive. We come to this hotel at least once a year and will never be back to this restaurant. Sparky’s cooked the fish just as well and everyone was so much nicer to us!

Beautiful ambiance and adequate parking . Had reservations for five guests and ended up with mixed reviews on dinner. One steak was undercooked and the lamb lacked flavor. The salads were huge and perfectly prepared. Hope this was the exception for this normally great place. Appreciate the early bird prices but should not come with a reduction in quality or attention to detail.

We made a reservation but were left waiting for about a half hour because there was a lack of communication at the host station. The 2 people at the host stand were arguing - one of them appeared to be a manager and was chewing out the hostess in front of guests - very unprofessional.
We chose this restaurant because it was walking distance to the hotel we stayed at and it seemed to have good reviews. I wish we would have gone somewhere else. Our server was nice, but kept disappearing for long periods of time and we were hungry and wanted to order. He'd stop by, apologize that there was no Prime Rib, then run away without taking our order or drink order. 10 minutes later he'd appear with drinks, then run away again. We finally had to flag him down and tell him we wanted to order food.
The food was fine - nothing special, and definitely over priced and a very limited menu. The atmosphere was nice but it is a very small restaurant inside. It was chilly, but I imagine when it's nice out, the open patio would be a lovely place to eat.

Unfortunately it was a no for us. We went to the Keys for my birthday and stayed at the Faro Blanco resort. At check in they told us to make sure to tell our server at Lighthouse it’s my birthday and my dinner would be taken care of. (If we decide to eat there.) We went for dinner on my actual birthday, did as we were told, didn’t get any discounts for the birthday...which was fine BUT we also never could get refills for our drinks and the server was rarely around.
I do recommend sitting by the fire pit and listening to live music nightly though!

Some of the entrees at our table were very good, one not so much. The grilled chicken fettuccine was good, the bread they served was good, I’m assuming the chicken sandwich or burger I can’t recall must have been ok because I didn’t hear any pros or cons. My salad with grilled chicken was a night light dinner. However, our daughter got the same salad with chicken and she took a couple bites of the chicken and then would not eat any more. Another person at the table tried a piece of her chicken versus mine and it was as if the chicken breast she received had gone bad as it almost made her sick. At first we weren’t sure, until the second adult tried it and was, yes she’s right, that just tastes wrong. Our waitress was not efficient or vigilant to empty glasses needing refills and you had to ask for everything you needed or wanted. At the end, glasses were empty without refills, the bill was paid, but her tip was minimal. She was polite, but not friendly or personable. We would probably not go back again as the menu is pretty limited and it’s a bit pricey. The Lobster and Steak house on the island is much much better and has a ton of choices to choose from.

We dined at the Lighthouse Grill for the first time on a recent vacation stay in Marathon. We dined out all seven nights of our stay, and this was our favorite restaurant by far. Our table was located on the back deck area with a view of the pool, the yachts, the ocean and most importantly the Lighthouse. A sunset could not be seen that day because of the clouds, but I imagine on a clear day, this dining setting would be perfect for sunset watching.
One of the reasons we enjoyed our dinner so much was because we had an amazing server, Rachel who was very helpful with menu suggestions in addition to being friendly and attentive. She made us feel right at home even with the new and awkward COVID procedures in place everywhere.
The reason we liked it the most compared to other restaurants in the area is because the food was excellent. The menu offered very clever culinary recipes that were so different from what we had seen at other places. I had the special of the evening which was pan seared fresh scallops, risotto and green beans. I also had a WONDERFUL salad prior to dinner with watermelon, feta cheese and balsamic vinegar and more. Really yummy!
Make sure to add this restaurant to your list if vacationing in Marathon, Florida or other surrounding areas in Key West. Great experience!
P.S. I am a public restroom snob and have very high standards of cleanliness. The restroom facilities at the restaurant were superb.

Came here with my gf for an early dinner and it was great. We ordered some drinks and they were terrific. Their apps are great and very sharable. For the main course, we shared a fish that was recommended by the waiter and it was super fresh and amazing. They also offer great homemade desserts that you should definitely try.

The setting was very pretty. The food was delicious and early bird specials well worth the price. The bread pudding for dessert was especially delicious. And our server, Rachel, was so cheerful and helpful. She was so energetic and warm and knowledgeable.
