We arrived a little after 3 and saw the early bird specials that started at 3:30 so we ordered a few appetizers before ordering our meals. The Tuna Tataki was good but I would have liked it paired with some type of more flavorful sauce and I think it would take it from good to great. The potato skins were amazing. I didn’t plan to order them, but the couple next to use did and they looked so yummy I couldn’t not order them. They were perfectly crispy on the bottom without burning them and they were loaded with bacon and cheese. As far as our main meals I had the stuffed shrimp. They were very tasty and full of crab meat. My partner had the prime rib and it was a nice thick slice which was cooked to his perfect temperature. It was also well over the 12oz the menu listed which is always a positive surprise versus having it be smaller than expected. The one and only negative had nothing to do with the food but the poor timing from our server. My partners salad came out at the same time as our meals and my soup arrived several minutes after I received my entrée. Our server also forgot to even ask about the dessert we wanted that came with the meal. After I received the bill, I inquired about it and then asked for them to go. I would usually leave a harsher review because of these issues, but one bad serving experience didn’t change the fact that the meal was excellent. I also value that the restaurant will read this review. It’s nice to see that they care about their customers opinions.

My wife and I had a great dinner at this restaurant. We arrived at 5:15 PM just in time to place an order on the happy hour menu which expires at 5:30 PM unless you’re at the bar in which case it goes till 6 PM. My wife got the stuffed snapper and I got the mahi-mahi. The food was delicious and the prices are very reasonable. We split a half a carafe of red wine which was very good considering the bargain price of $12! Our waiter, David was professional and served our food in a timely manner. All in all a great value, we’ll certainly will return.

The restaurant had been recommended to us by a friend who lives in Marathon (and who is a retired chef) and we saved our visit until our last night of vacation. Don’t be fooled by the quirky turquoise exterior which makes it look like any other tourist stop along the highway...Inside is a different world: waitstaff in shirt and tie, white walls with bright art, water walls of bubbles dividing the room....David, our server was knowledgeable, helpful and professional. Our meals were absolutely delicious, and the presentation was beautiful. I ordered Coconut Macadamia Snapper. My vegan daughter also had a good amount of options to choose from...and was happy with her Thai pineapple fried rice served in a pineapple. Highly recommend this restaurant, and although it was a pricey dinner, it was worth it!

Had 6:30 reservation on 1/13/20. Stopped in a little early to catch the happy hour. Food and service at the bar was fantastic. Bartender was spot on with food selections. Service in the restaurant was good until our food arrived. Waiter asked us to cut into the steak to confirm it was cooked to our liking but never came back to see if it was. He finally stopped back when we were almost finished with our meal to see if we needed anything. The last time we saw him was when our bill arrived. After waiting almost 15 minutes we had to ask another waiter to run our credit card which he promptly did. I would recommend this restaurant as the food was great but hopefully you don't get our server. We should have ate our meal in the bar.

We are locals who eat here as often as we can, which isn't very often because it can be a little pricey, but every time we go we are so glad we did. Tonight was no exception. Our server, Noah, paced our meal perfectly. Crab cake appetizer: delicious. Chock full of crab with just enough filler to barely hold it together. Salad: ice cold and fresh. KC strip steaks cooked perfectly. Yummy red sangria, rich tiramisu for dessert, and "The Artist" after-dinner coffee rounded out the meal. The manager always stops by the table to check on our experience and we are always happy to tell her how pleased we were with the meal and service. If you're visiting Marathon, this is one of the top two places for a special meal (the Butterfly Cafe is the other). If you're local, this is the place to bring visitors. It's not on the water but that's OK. It is clean, pretty decor, a little loud but that's only because it's packed and everyone is so happy. And the menu has something for everyone, from pasta to seafood to steaks to sushi. Don't miss it, and be sure to tip the staff well. They work very, very hard.

The Early Special is advertised locally and on their web site. It is everyday except holidays 3:30-5:30. We arrived at 5, a party of six. The restaurant was packed. They sat us quickly and handed us regular and special menus. We requested Early Special menu and the busboy seemed really confused. He came back with regular and special menus. We once again requested Early Special menus and were told they didn't have that anymore. When we went to get up and question the host, he managed to find 2 and we shared them. Two of us ordered the fish and 4 ate the prime rib. Comes with a salad, bread, one side and dessert. Food came quickly. It was all delicious. The waiter David was excellent. They did not rush us at all. So whats my gripe? We were not the only party searching for Early Special menus. If the restaurant is going to advertise this service, they must provide it and not hesitate to give the customer what they came for. It is most likely the only reason the place is packed at 5 pm on a Saturday night. I don't think customers should be made to feel uncomfortable. I would hesitate to return during season.

I apologize for running out of our early bird special menu sheet. We normally print 25 per day and have never run out before. We were unusually busy during that time on Saturday. We are offended by your attitude and insinuations that we are trying to avoid giving out the early bird menu. I looked at your other reviews which I see that you normally give very high reviews for just average restaurants. The fact is, that you admit that you thoroughly enjoyed the food and service while dining with us, but you somehow justified giving us a mediocre review based on an assumption made by you.

The reviews I read for this restaurant gave me great expectations for my 60th birthday dinner with my family on our Christmas trip to the Keys. I ordered the Filet & Lobster tail and my son had a New York cut. I like medium and my son is med rare. My lobster and steak were both overcooked as was my sons steak. It is an expensive place to eat and I would have been happy to pay for the meal I was looking forward to but it was not edible. The wait staff did not come to our table after we were served to ask how our meal was and I had to grab a table setter to get our waitress who finally got the Manager. The Manager was nice enough to refund our entire meal, when I told her I am a Trip Advisor Reviewer, but I would have rather had a good experience on my birthday. HUGE portions and about 100 items to choose from. Excellent restaurants, fine dining, usually have 10 or less items that they do spectacularly.

BOGUS REVIEW After reading your review I became offended, so I referred to your previous reviews and responses to them. First of all, all of our beef is certified Angus and all of our seafood is fresh. Your family consumed their large house salads, appetizers, dinners and drinks when you complained to the waitress that your entree was overcooked. The owner came out and offered to remake your dinner. Then you refused and caused a scene to intimidate her in front of several customers. In the interest of making you happy, she deleted your entire bill. You stated that you would write a bad review on trip adviser and that you had 1,000 followers. When I looked at your profile, I see that you have 0 followers (This is Part of Your Scam). After my research of your reviews, I saw your review about your sky diving experience and how you tried to intimidate them to remove charges that you agreed to pay. This is the same sort of intimidation that you used to walk out of the restaurant with a zero check after your family completely consumed all their food. I see your pattern and believe that once again, you had buyer’s remorse and just wanted to get out without paying. This time you succeeded. I understand your embarrassment with the sky diving, that you didn't want a video with your wife saying it was better than sex, however, in this case, your family members did consume all of their food, so your scam did succeed this time. I only hope that people can see you for the person that you are.

Had a great experience at FL Keys Steak and Lobster house. We got lobster and the huge tomahawk steak and it was very good, a little pricey but the quality of food and service make up for that. If you go ask for Jess, he made the experience great.

Went with wife, daughter, and son in law. We ordered a variety of soup, salads, appetizers, and entrees. Don’t get me wrong everything was good. It just wasn’t great. Waiter was a little passive aggressive when three of us ordered “just the early bird” specials. Very nice atmosphere just curious how this could be number one in Marathon

This place is beautiful inside. The wait staff (especially Jason) sees to your needs and quickly. He even made a suggestion for a spicy mayo to put on my crab stuffing and he was so right it was awesome. I had the stuffed lobster tail and my husband had the prime rib. We both enjoyed our meals and drinks and will certainly go back again. The outside of the building is Old Florida but the inside is classy with white table cloths and wait staff dressed to match. Met the owner and she has it together and knows how to treat her guests. The prices match the food, so don’t expect low prices, you pay for what you get here.

We chose this restaurant despite some negative feedback, giving them the benefit of the doubt. BAD move on our part. They were unable to handle a party of 25 (reserved); 2 hour wait (with small children) for cold/warm food to arrive. Had to ask more than once for the children's food. Overpriced Poor quality steak for being a steak house; The room temp was warm and getting more uncomfortable as the hours passed. Service unlike I have experienced. Tipped based on over all experience/service. With that said, our wedding party just so happened to be approached by the waitress, her boyfriend, and their minions at a local establishment the following night where they were verbally and physically threatened by them due to the tip “we” the parents chose to leave. Steer clear of this place. Your entitled to a good tip based on good quality service. This place had none of the above. Lesson learned. Reviews are there for a reason, we DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! you have been warned.

We have been here many times. On this visit we had a first time Keys visitor with us. Dinner was terrific as always and our server, Tiffany, was great. We enjoyed some selections from the early bird menu which are reasonably priced and portions large. We encouraged our guest to try the stuffed snapper, he loved it. Looking around I recognized servers that have been there for years. That speaks volumes! Highly recommend that you make this a stop when in Marathon.

Don’t let the beachy, outdated exterior fool you— great service and outstanding food. Highly recommend the surf n turf option and the seafood combo of Morocco. Great seafood for the price (worth every penny, I mean) and we were so impressed with the service and timing of food delivery. Ask for Jason!

Initially shocked to see the price of a salad but the portions were enough for 4 people. They should offer smaller portions that are less expensive. There is a salad bar that costs less but the selections are just standard ingredients. We were there for lunch but could see that the dinner specials looked good. Service was excellent and very knowledgeable about the menu. The food was very good but very expensive for lunch.

We were pleasantly surprised by the food here. I got tilapia and my husband got lasagna. The kids got kids meals and all of the food had HUGE PORTIONS. My son who is 11, who literally eats all the time, couldnt finish his food. And for 5 kids and 2 adults it was just a little over 100$. By far one of the most affordable places we ate at all week AND it was delicious. It was super clean inside and the LED water tanks kept our toddler occupied. Overall it was a great experience!
