I visited here with family during a trip to Duck Key nearby. Most of the eateries in the area are fish-based or burger chains. I am veggie and was delighted to find somewhere that provided a fantastic menu and was not disappointed! The food was delicious, the staff were friendly and welcoming, and we picked up some lovely, reasonably priced goods in the store after eating. Would highly recommend!

I wish I would have found this place my first day here. We just started eating plant based about three weeks ago. I was so hungry I was ready to fall off the wagon so to speak when I found this place. I chose to have their features of the day which was Indian sweet potato and chicpea soup and a maple chipotle grain bowl with a small salad on the side.. Both were absolutely amazing! I can't speak highly enough of the flavors and colorful presentation. It was a little pricy but when you consider the overhead and all the expenses of maintaining a business like this, it was totally worth every penny! Chef Todd, you rock. Very pleasant atmosphere and staff also.

Tiny cafe in a small health food market with delicious homemade recipes for fabulous soup, fresh salads, unique sandwiches. And health boosting drinks like green lemonade. We felt healthier with each bite and enjoyed the friendly service. Glad we stopped en route to Key West. Thanks!

We are staying in area (Marathon, FL) where good healthy food is almost impossible to find. Food for Thought has fresh, healthy, vegan (if you want) meals that are unique and delicious. My husband who hates these type of places loved his breakfast!

Food For Thought is a pleasant little health food/vitamin/fresh produce store in a strip mall in “Downtown” Marathon in the middle Florida Keys, across the street (Overseas Highway) from McDonalds. The store offers a limited but adequate selection of vitamins and supplements, and even stocks various nutrients for pets. There’s also a great little restaurant/café located within, with a great choice of sandwiches, soups, and juices. Decently-priced. Very pleasant, knowledgeable, and attentive staff, speedy service. Food For Thought is no Whole Foods - but then again, Marathon is no Miami. Definitely worth a visit.

Really good food made fresh, nice selection of items. We ate lunch, had the falafel, the impossible burger, and the portabella mushroom with some smoothies. Everything tasted great, took a little bit of time to get, but not excessive, only complaint was a little pricey- I suppose this is the new normal and the portion sizes were good, just a little more than I like to spend for lunch.

We are so glad we checked out this little gem today. It is half a health food/suplement shop and half a nice cafe with plenty of seating. The employees were all extremely kind and helpful, the owner we met was very knowledgeable and so kind, and to find healthy, delicious food with plenty of gluten free options in the keys is really special for our family (the wheat allergy runs deep). Everything was delicious, fairly priced and service was fast. If you’re hungry and health minded, I recommend stepping in and taking a look- and if your not health minded, this is a great place to start:) We will definitely plan on making this a regular breakfast/lunch stop when we are in town.

The Food for Thought owners and staff have been so wonderful to me since I moved here two years ago. Their smoothies, breakfast and lunch are all so delicious - I think I’ve tried mostly everything on the menu/specials. And, as evidenced by their winnings in Best of Marathon, their customer service goes above and beyond. When my grandmother had an accident that prevented her from eating solids for quite some time, Blair went out of her way to help me find protein-dense options to supplement her diet and even set aside soups for me when they had extra. I love their little shop too and often find produce or gifts for myself and others. So grateful to have them in town!

Stopped here after our morning snorkeling tour and this place was the perfect brunch spot! All the menu can be made gluten-free, along with vegan and vegetarian options galore. We had the gluten free avocado toast and gluten free grilled cheese. Both were excellent, and the coffee was delicious too! Definitely worth another visit.

The servers are extremely friendly and helpful! I had the Portobello mushroom burger and I'm mind blown as to how awesome it was!!! It was fantastic! The grilled Portobello are juicy and meaty! The sauce has a tangy, savory flavor that will have you asking for more!! The bread also was exceptional! A salad comes with it (OMG was huge and delicious) has a tangy, sweet vinegary sauce. In all, the food was hearty, satisfying and delicious! I ate every bite! You got to check this place out, there are lots of great food options. Plus!!! It's a health market, bookstore, giftshop and carries local artworks!! Will definitely come back!!

There is nothing like walking into an organic store/restaurant for stimulating an appetite. The aroma of all that goodness just penetrates every cell in your body. So grateful it was Thursday for the Veggie Quesadilla special. It was fabulous! Roasted veggies, beans & choice of vegan or grass fed dairy cheese grilled on a sprouted grain tortilla with cashew sour cream, chipotle mayo & a great side salad! Also had their Green Monster Smoothie! Don’t miss this place!!!

So grateful to find good organic food just minutes away from my hotel. Friendly service, knowledgeable staff, simply amazing good for the soul food!! Had some fresh juice made to add to my sangria .... yum yum yum

We visited here for both breakfast and lunch during our stay in Marathon. We loved the healthy food options, and the smoothies were tasty as well. The Acia Bowl for breakfast and a return to try the Falafel burger for lunch - everything was excellent. I only wish they were open earlier and then we would have gone even more times!

This was one of the best tasting and most nutritious meals I had during my stay in marathon!
Highly recommend the signature panini and the açaí bowl!
They offer lots of plant based and vegan options, which is cool. I’m not personally vegan, but I enjoy many plant based foods.
I was very surprised by how much I loved this place!

Great for healthy salads, foods, smoothies, teas etc. Also a health food/wellness store, it's located in a little local mall. You order your food at the counter and it is served. There is a cute seating area; my table had fresh flowers, a nice touch.
