This restaurant is like a quaint little place to go and have breakfast in the morning. You can basically ride your bicycle from your home or hotel to this place and it’s so convenient. The best part is, you eat outside like you are on a picnic and you’re overlooking the road and the palm trees. I would highly recommend you get The pancakes they offer. And get it with scrambled eggs. It is so delicious. It’s second behind another restaurant that I know of in the area that has breakfast.

Stopped here for breakfast on our sad trek from Key West back to the Miami airport and it was a pretty good bright spot. It is a TINY place and BUSY so while in line social distancing is not easy but in many of thee little places it's hard, you make due with what you have. It was a little confusing how it worked when you get there but basically you get in line, order at a counter and then seat yourself and they find you. The line was long when we got there but I was very hopeful after overhearing a guy tell the cashier he had been there every morning that week. We all ordered breakfast sandwiches and some bakery items to go. 3 of us also had iced coffees (I think they were called tropical iced lattes, they had toasted coconut on them, YUM!) . We got our food pretty quickly after we seated ourselves outside (social distancing of the tables was good). The portions were large and the food was tasty.

This is a great place to stop and get breakfast. There were so many choices and the prices are reasonable. We ordered at the door, paid for it then found a seat under the trees. Parking is good and it is easy to get off and on US 1. The only hiccup we had was that they forgot something we ordered and it took awhile to get it.

The Midway Cafe is casual, cafeteria style so I wasn’t sure what to expect as far as the food quality. I had pita with spinach, cheese, avocado and it was terrific. The pita was made in house and was perfectly fresh and hot. Coffee was very good. Service was friendly.

We come to Midway Cafe for breakfast every day when we’re visiting Islamorada. Everything we’ve ordered - and we’ve tried a lot - has been delicious. Egg sandwiches, omelettes, breakfast burritos, chicken sandwiches and wraps; everything is made to order, and even if there’s a line it moves quickly and the food comes out hot. Coffee drinks and smoothies are also always a hit. It’s clear when we’re here that it’s a popular spot for both locals and visitors. All the staff are friendly and helpful, and we talk about Midway when we’re home and always look forward to coming back here on our next vacation. Thank you Mandy and team - see you on our next trip! :)

If 3 1/2 stars was available I would rate that. This is a very aesthetically pleasing little restaurant. I think it really has the potential to be great. The first issue is that you have to stand in line to order and the entrance is right where the line is. This makes it awkward to be in the line and to order food. The lady that took our order was super friendly and it seemed after we ordered that the chaos was over. We sat inside at a little high top table. The atmosphere was nice. While we waited there were two people sitting right by us that had issues with their orders. Wrong items, hot coffee instead of iced, etc. When they brought our drinks my iced coffee was not iced but was hot. I told the waitress and she took it back to be remade. My husband’s breakfast sandwich basically had no cheese but when he took it back up there they told him it only looked that way because it was white american cheese. It maybe had 1 tablespoon of cheese if that. I had the avocado toast, bacon, and a key lime muffin. The toast was decent but the muffin was very dry. It had a great flavor but needed some moisture. It is a very cute place and I really hope they find a way to fix some of these issues so they can be a great place in the future!

Found this place by chance looking for coffee and breakfast on our way to Key West from Key Largo. So happy we stopped here instead of Dunkin or Starbucks. Many choices on the menu for all tastes and dietary needs. We ordered the Tropical Machiato, Almond Joy Latte, Cold Brew and a Very Berry Smoothie with our breakfast food. Everyone loved all of it! Choose to eat at colorful tables indoors or outside. Worth checking out for sure!

This is a small place where you order at the register and your meal is delivered to your table inside or out. At 11 am there was a long line but it moved quickly, so we only waited 20 minutes to order. So don't get discouraged and decide to go someplace else.
The food is well prepared and they are willing to customize . For instance, they added jalapeños and onions to my scrambled egg order. On a separate visit, I had a delicious salad and outstanding lobster bisque. And the prices are very reasonable especially for the quality

This is a cute little cafe that was close to our hotel (La Siesta Resort) so we could walk. The inside is small, but so charming and there is plenty of shaded space outside to eat.
You wait in line to order and then find a seat and then the servers bring the food out to you. The line can be a little long, but once you order your food comes quickly. Their menu has a wide variety of items to choose from.
The food was DELICIOUS. Friendly staff too.
I definitely recommend this restaurant for bfast or lunch.

Based on reviews, my wife and I had breakfast here this morning. We were glad we did. When we arrived, there was a line of people waiting to place their orders. My immediate thought was uh-oh, this may be a while. While we perused the menu, the line moved along rather quickly and before you knew it, we were placing our orders too. We were greeted by a friendly person and explained everything we needed to know. We both ordered the favorite (bacon, eggs, cheese on choice of bread, ours was croissant), only my wife ordered without cheese. I had a black coffee and my wife ordered a cappuccino. We grabbed a table outside under some trees and waited for our orders. In very little time we received our orders from a just as friendly server. The food and service here are excellent. Which made me think about why a small breakfast and lunch place would be so popular with so many people. Besides having good food, like many do, it's the friendliness and quality of service which sets them apart and keeps people coming back to enjoy the food, the experience, and write about it.

We were driving by talking about breakfast and saw this place and quickly pulled in. Turned out to be a great choice. They had a case full of good looking pastries and a huge menu board of coffees and smoothies. We wanted breakfast and grabbed a menu and they had abundant choices. You order at the counter and then they bring it to you. We were served quickly and our food was very good. While we were there we saw a steady stream of folks stopping in to get their morning coffee. Charming staff and place, the kind you could go to every day.

This place was a fun little stop, with a laid back tropical feel. The wraps we had were pretty good, but we found it to be a little pricey for what we got. They also had good key lime pie at a reasonable price, with a good cup of coffee.
It had outdoor and indoor seating, and you can buy bags of coffee from them.
I recommend this for a good quick lunch.

We visited Midway Cafe twice - once for lunch and then for breakfast. While we enjoyed our lunch items (goat salad, pancakes, and breakfast burrito), we noticed there were items that were left off some of our meals. For example, there were no almonds on the goat salad (as described on the menu) and my daughter did not have the whipped cream on her pancakes as requested. Both were remedied quickly and we wonder if it was due to how busy the cafe was upon arrival.
Breakfast fared better as we arrived early and did not order items that needed to be cooked. The cinnamon roll was quite big, soft and delicious. The slice of key lime pie was one of the best that we had while in the Keys.
Staff were pleasant and helpful!
Limited seating outside so get there early as it can get pretty crowded.

I can’t tell you how many times we’ve driven by the Midway Cafe but it’s been a lot! Boy, did we discover that was a mistake. Unusual circumstances caused us to stop in iot determine if they could provide breakfast pastries for a gathering of 30+. They coursed, they did, and our breakfast gathering at a Marathon campground was a smashing success. Everyone loved the wide range of muffins, scones, croissants, and quiche! We forever thank Mandy for helping us with our order.
We stopped in on a Sunday morning on our own, for breakfast. I ordered the 3 egg and cheese omelette with Sausage. It came with delicious rye toast. There was so much sausage in the omelette that if I’d made it myself, K would have commented “do you really need all that sausage?” Need I say it was absolutely delicious (so good I had it again Tuesday morning. K had the Mediterranean Omelette which she enjoyed immensely. This is an interesting place. You first go in and order your food and drink from an incredibly full menu. You can order breakfast or lunch. You then go find a table inside or out and sit. Within moments your drinks and order show up! Now there will probably be a line. Be patient and talk to each other (no WiFi, so pretend it’s 1995!). The line moves very quickly and the food and drink are seriously worth the wait!
Don’t be like Rick and drive past this place!!! Stop and enjoy great service and scrumptious food!

Would have given this place a 5 star but there was only outside seating & limited service due to COVID rules. Staff was friendly & food was great. I highly recommend the scones. They had a Raspberry Scone with white chocolate chips that was really delicious. It was moist & not dry like many I have had in America. The blueberry was great as well. Coffee was good. I had the croissant breakfast sandwich which was good.
