Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Food was really good. We had great sandwiches and they were really big along with a nice side salad. My daughter had a dessert crepe that was delicious. 2 sandwiches, a dessert crepe, 1 glass of iced tea and 1 glass of juice and our bill was $60 with the mandatory 20% gratuity. The owner was nice and very helpful but he definitely French! Most French folks I know are very reserved so I didn't go in expecting southern hospitality.

We enjoyed a sandwich, a crustless quiche with salads and a cappuccino and chai latte. Owner/ Chef Michal gave us good service and everything was yummy. Quick service. A case full of delicious looking bakery items. You can get lunches packed to go. Lots of choices on menu of soups, crustless quiches, sandwiches, salads, crepes, waffles.

Bitton is a gem around mm 88. Michel owns the place and from all appearances does all the work. It's been a few years since we ordered a bunch of sandwiches for our friends who live on mm 85 for a boat excursion. No complaints from a very picky crowd. My wife is French as are our friends.
Back then, the place was great and today, it remains great.
Michel is all business but in a friendly way. He made our cappuccino and cafe au lait like a Formula One racer to perfection. My wife had the Katie - croissant with salmon - and I had a pain au chocholat and almond croissant. Exceptional.
At the same time, Michel was catering to at least 4 tables and nobody had to wait, like Miami time. I don't know how he juggles with such perfection and synchronicity, but it happens.
I can guarantee that the place has not lost a beat. Plus dog friendly. Our dog Ginger enjoyed the nibbles of croissant (no chocolate or almonds).

Wow….rude doesn’t even begin to explain the service. They automatically charge a 20% tip which is not deserved, not only because he’s rude, but because you grab your own menu, he doesn’t fill your water glasses, he took over 10 minutes to take our order and the restaurant wasn’t even full. He never asked how our meal was or anything. The service is that he makes you a coffee and brings you your food. He doesn’t bring you a check, you go up to the register and wait another 10 minutes. When one customer was paying the bill, he asked why it was so high and he said 20% gratuity is automatically added on. The customer responded, “No tip. The food was awful and the service was awful.” The owner responded, “Then next time go to Burger King.“ To which the customer responded, “I will.” Another customer walked in to a half full restaurant and he told them that they needed to go and come back in 30 minutes. They responded that they just wanted takeout and he said “it doesn’t matter. Come back in 30 minutes.” There was also a sign that he lives by. It said “your opinion is not included in the recipe.” I’ve heard the stereotype that the French are rude, he is definitely living up to that stereotype.
Now onto the food. It was OK, but not great. Once you hear customers getting yelled at, it’s kind of hard to enjoy it.

My girlfriend and I visited this bistro based on the good reviews from trip advisor. I was dissatisfied with my crepe as it was burnt and I was overcharged. I didn't realize until I checked the receipt later. Also, be aware, the proprietor also snuck in a built in a tip of about 18% even though the service was less than par. There were only two of us dining! On a positive note, my crepe was ok once I cut out the burnt part and my girlfriend said her dessert crepe was decent. However, on the whole, I'd recommend going somewhere else.

This is absolutely the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. The owner is rude, the service is non existent, the food is not good and so expensive. We had to wait forever to order, but watched him be very rude to other customers while we waited. We had 2 crepes, a coffee and a croissant. $60. The crepe was soggy, falling apart, and a pile of slop. We were absolutely not planning to tip, but he added 20% included gratuity. We were so ready to leave we just paid it and left. There is also one waitress floating around and all she does is carry food to tables. It seems like he insists on doing everything and it is the most chaotic thing I have ever seen. It was not even that busy when we were there and he was snapping at people, telling them to sit down, etc.

Customer Service was poor. I asked a few questions about coffee options and the gentleman taking my order was extremely rude. I asked for a small iced latte. He handed me my coffee and then rang me up for a total of $8.60 and proceeded to tell me it’s one size and I have to pay because he already made it.
I would not recommend visiting here if you want good service or coffee.

We were visiting the Keys for our 'escape' from Michigan Christmas vacation in December 2020. Based on the Postcard Inn Hotel staff suggestion, we went to Bitton Bistro Caffe for breakfast and instantly became in love with it. Outstanding crepes (too many to even remember but some coming to mind are the Lorraine (salty) and South Beach (sweet), great croissants, macaroons and chocolate moose, excellent coffee. It became a ritual for us to drive there in the morning before doing anything else...

Delicious! 6 of us sat down right away at 11 on a Sunday after trying other places that had a 1 hour wait. 5 of us had crepes that were better than those we had in Paris. Not exaggerating. Owner/chef is friendly and efficient. A/c was remarkably delightful as well. Clean and bright and highly recommend!

Michele and Donna are warm and welcoming. The whole cafe is filled with beautiful artwork and items created lovingly by Donna herself. The artistry continues with the fresh baked croissants that are out of this world and danishes/pastries, all yummy! I wish we could've tried everything! We ordered the roast beef sandwich served on freshly baked bread with fresh vegetables and a side salad of colorful arugula. For dessert we ordered crepes. Best crepes I've ever tasted. Thank you Bittons! We enjoyed meeting you both and experiencing your wonderful bistro cafe! We will be back!

Rude owner not allowed service dog in even showing reason and certification. Does not follow the rules by law. Plus I asked a fresh squeezed orange juice and he gave us the orange juice from the bottle. Decent croissants but rude people never deserved a visit!!

We visited on the advice of a local and we were NOT disappointed! We had the breakfast quiche (one ham and one shrimp) with a side croissant. Breakfast was delicious. FYI-it comes with a side of greens so if you don't love greens for breakfast, you might ask to skip this side. That being said, the dressing was delicious with it so I didn't mind. Croissant was flaky and quite frankly, perfect. We had regular with breakfast and then had an almond and a custard to go.

My wife and I enjoyed brunch here twice on our trip. She had the spinach quiche twice, and I had the ham quiche and the ham, egg, and cheese crepe. All were delicious, as were the fresh croissants. The custard croissant is divine. We'll definitely be eating at Bitton the next time we're in the Keys.

Unbelievable crepes!! I had the banania crepes with Nutella and bananas. Wow it’s was so good I didn’t want to stop eating. My husband had croissants and said they were light and flakey and very tasty. Cute little place will be back again.
