Lazy Days is great restaurant and bar that was recommended by locals. The web site recommended making a reservation for dinner, and they are not kidding. We were fortunate enough to get a couple seats at the bar to enjoy our meal. This is a great seafood restaurant, they will cook your catch, but has other offerings too. I had chicken piccata with rice and it truly was the best I had ever had. A very nice light lemon butter sauce coated the perfectly cooked chicken.my husband had one of their specialty salads that featured coconut shrimp and he was very happy with his selection too. Honestly everyone at the bar was having dinner, and every platter/dinner coming out looked very appealing. The meal started with a bread basket that had some tasty dinner rolls, but the best part was every basket also included freshly baked banana bread. That was an unexpected nice touch. Prices are very reasonable, and staff very friendly.

We had a fantastic day out fishing from the marina next door. When we landed we cleaned the catch and took it over to the restaurant. For a cheap cheap price of 16.99 per person they cooked it up for us in a jalapeno panco encrusted bake. Topped with cheese and peppers and tomatoes and some sauces. It also came with soup, salad, and a loaded baked potato. This restaurant came reccomend by many locals and visitor's and it did not disappoint.

We had been on a fishing trip all day and caught some Snapper to bring home to eat. We were so tired we didn’t want to go home and cook so we took our catch to this restaurant to be cooked for us. You get a side and soup or salad with it. It is a little pricey for bringing your own protein but just was happy I didn’t have to cook that night. They have an option of Lazy Days or Super Lazy Days. We opted for the Super Lazy Days which is jalapeño panko crusted with Parmesan cheese, scallions, and tomatoes. It was so good. I know that there are some other places that will make your own catch on the area as well but absolutely was happy with our choice. It is a little touristy at the restaurant as they have items for sale and a guy that takes your pictures if you allow him. That would be the only downside to my experience.

We had reservation for a party of 8, we arrived on time and were seated. Our waitress didn’t provide very good service at all. Our food came out in rotations. We got 2 meals that the fish was over cooked and the food was barely room temperature. One of the hot dog kids meals didn’t come out till after everyone had their food. Our salads and salad bowls sat at the table the entire time, along with several cups. The waitress charged us for drinks on the kids meals and we had to have the manager take them off. The 3 kids meals also never got their ice cream. We have gone to this establishment for many years this was the worse service we have received to date. Between waiting for cold food and slow service on a Wednesday night, it was just a very bad experience. The manager offered no solutions, no comp of the bill and we spoke to him on 3 different occasions. Every time we spoke to him he tell us oh I will send your waiters over. I will not be returning to this place and my family will be cancelling their father day dinner plans for this year.

This is all about managing expectations. We were glad we’d made a reservation a couple of weeks before we came to the area. It was highly recommended by the resort. When we got there, we were seated, but the quoted wait was up to 2 hours at 7pm. There were 2 of us and one ordered a steak and French fries...all was good. The other has a food allergy which deleted most of the menu. It seems that a lot is prepped ahead, so very little could be ordered with a change. Grilled shrimp is a good substitute for almost anything, but it came out cooked but evidently had sat waiting fir the steak and was Luke warm. We were very disappointed with the wine options so tried a mixed drink that was too strong to drink even after the ice melted. But again, expectations. If you want a cool bar spot with appetizers and music, this is probably a great spot. If you’re looking fir a couples dinner, there are other options that we think would be a better atmosphere

We ordered carry out for 6 appetizers and 2 bowls of soup. Restaurant was crowded and non of the guest in waiting area was wearing masks. Wait staff had masks on their chins and kitchen staff did not have masks at all. When we got home we discovered that we were missing one of the soup. All food was soaking in grease. We ordered escargot and oysters rockefeller. They were drowning in cheese and onions and you could not really taste anything but onions. Just completely wrong combination of ingredients. Conch fritters were good. Definitely will not be back

I came here with friends who we were visiting in Islamorada. The problem was our waiter was given three large tables at one time. This was the fault of management, not his. He was doing his best given the situation he was in. Refills on drinks were not existent. Our food which was of good quality came out cold. I will probably try this place again on our next visit to Islamorada, but beware if it is busy. I had the Hogfish Seminole which would have been good if warm. I blame management for this.

Read great reviews on this place and was excited about a great fish sandwich. Nice views overlooking alligator reef light house far off in the distance. The place produced the most awful grouper sandwich even. Three day old was A wilted tomato with the stem still attaches. A literal chunk of lettuce, a wilted pickle and red onion on a slightly toasted Kaiser rollCompleted this pile of horribleness. The thin fish filet didn’t appear to be the grouperI ordered and was coated with some horrible tasting overcooked breadline. The oysters at $12 for a half a dozen were bit Expensive and not cut from the shell and served with a very small amount of commercial cocktail sauce and a 1/5 tablespoon of horseradish. Ok might describe them. The drinks were very weak and I thought expensive for the quality and quality, plus they didn’t include a lime like I asked.. We passed on desert, like you should pass on this overpriced tourist trap. Better fish sandwiches are up the road at Mcdonalsmfor a tenth the price. Have a drink maybe but escape to a real restaurant for some good seafood.

This place is great it is a huge facility with lots of options for seating from inside to on the deck to on the beach or at the bars. Great island vibe and looks like a great multi generational place for families to party goers. We went while visiting Islamorada with a group of 6 adults. The menu is seafood heavy as you would expect for the islands with just about every type of local fresh fish you could imagine. The dishes are served with multiple options of sides. We ordered the conch Lazy Style which is covered I. A lime cream sauce with diced tomato, onion and Parmesan cheese. It was delicious but my wife did not care for the sauce. I ordered the mahi fish sandwich which I think is the way to go. With a Fish sandwich you get the same great fish without as many sides but with fries or one other side for about half the price. Not a lot of places do a bread basket anymore and I think this is a nice touch that Lazy Dayz does!! Fresh roles and HOMEMADE banana bread! The conch soup was also very good. The server was attentive and personable! Check this place out for a fun night out.

The most amazing food for reasonable prices- and if you catch your own fish in the area they have the best preparation methods for cooking what you catch (hook and cook). We had blackened, "Lazy Days", and parmesan-crusted in a variety of seafood and it was all amazing. If you go on a chilly night, get the french onion soup, it's the best ever. Love this place!

Went during COVID restrictions soit was a very slow night. Got our cocktails 30 minutes after we sat down not to mention they were like bad wedding drinks. We were never asked how we liked our drinks and were never offered another one thank god. The appetizer was oyster Rockefeller. Had more cheese on them then the French onion soup which was actually the second best dish we had besides the bread basket. The main course was jumbo coconut shrimp that was so over cooked it could of passed as chicken nuggets. The other entree was the crab stuffed shrimp the crab meat tasted like ammonia. The manager just apologized and said thanks for coming and he will let the chef know

We made reservations to have dinner here 3 weeks ahead of our trip to islamorada. Upon arrival we were moved from the beachfront table we had requested to a table next to the bar due to windy weather. We had two small children and two teenagers with us. We asked to move tables as many of the bar goers were smoking and were quite loud. After promising to move us repeatedly they ended up leaving us at this table. I was visibly annoyed because we were planning on having a lovely meal on the beach and ended up dining in a run down bar. The manager / owner proceeded to stand at the hostess stand and give me evil glares for the rest of our dinner. The meal was completely average. Our waiter was sweet and very attentive. But, the manager made him come over and kick us out of our table at the end of the meal while we were still eating desert because they had another reservation. You could tell the waiter was embarrassed to do so. This is a low end restaurant, so if you are coming here with expectations of anything decent or upscale in any way do NOT come here. We have dined at many restaurants all over the world and have NEVER been asked to leave a table before we were finished. Entirely unacceptable.

Family of four (10 & 5) stopped here for dinner following a charter. We brought our own fish that we had caught from a charter. For $18 they will prepare it one of four ways and serve with soup/salad and one side. We had our catch prepared blackened, fried and grilled. Enjoyed the blackened the most but overall food was bland. Eating with toes in the sand was a plus and the view is great, but lots of choices with that in the area. Not bad but also nothing special.

I REALLY wanted to love this place, especially after trying for 2 days to get reservations. My family and I were seated upon our arrival at 5pm and our waiter took our drink orders. My husband asked about happy hour specials- but happy hour specials are ONLY served at the bar and must be consumed there. We had peel and eat shrimp which as nondescript. I ordered the broiled seafood platter with mashed potatoes. The lobster and shrimp were over cooked. The best thing on the plate was the crab cake. It was excellent. Otherwise, my plate was very generic. My husband had the hog fish and said it was very good. My boys both had pasta dishes and commented on how flavorful they were. $200 later- it was okay. Not what I thought it would be based on the hype and the difficulty getting reservations. People working there were friendly, but I wouldn’t waste your time unless you are simply dying to eat mediocre and overpriced seafood while watching the sun set.

Had heard several good things about Lazy Days and was surprised by the lack of service and the poorly cooked food. There are many better places to go on Islamorada. First the good......the cesear salad was very good. The dressing was tasty and applied just right. Not so good......calamari was in pieces and the dipping sauce had no flavor. We brought in fresh snapper we had caught that day to have them prepare it. The blackened pieces were brought to us over cooked and tough and for the fried pieces oily and dry. The worst part of the experience was the staff. From the hostess to the servers, they made us feel like they just wanted us done and out of there as quickly as possible. When the staff don't seem to care about the place, your experience or the food it is impossible to feel positive about the place. Add to it that parking is very difficult and Covid compliance indoors non existent and hence, you get two stars. Take a pass on this place folks.
