When I saw that this restaurant was rated the best Fish and Chips in the area we needed to try it. The ratings certainly did not disappoint and it was a well deserved award. We are fisherman so we know our fish and are fussy. This was very good fresh haddock, white, flaky, and so very mild tasting. The restaurant serves it baked, fried, or lightly blackened. The portion was a size that many could not finish. The fries were very crisp and tasty and the Cole slaw was simple, yet delectable. We will return.

You’ll love this local restaurant! Surprisingly Cricketers has the best Buffalo chicken salad in the area! The tenders are large, juicy and crunchy. The Buffalo sauce is on point. The servers and bartenders know the menu, give great suggestions, and are prompt.

Had been meaning to get to this British pub for the much hyped fish n chips. Rolled in on a Saturday afternoon to get lunch and without looking at the menu ordered the fish n chips (fried cod) with cole slaw and a sweet iced tea. I was not disappointed as sitting at the bar watching soccer, hockey and basketball the food service was quick, fresh and hot. Even the cole slaw (which I'm picky about) was on point. Huge portion of fish and plenty of chips. Butch the bartender was all over everything service wise and was extremely pleased with the vibe (good local feel with a lot of patrons). I will go ahead and say, the visit was worth the hype and Cricketers has the best fish n chips in north Pinellas county....

We go to Cricketers fairly often, and we really love the food. Having said that, after this last visit, had it been our first, it would have also been our last. We went specifically for the Sunday Dinner....and I wish we hadn't! The food arrived (after about 15 - 20 minutes) , and it was a real disappointment. The fried potato wedges were very hot, but crunchy, since they were not cooked through. The Prime Rib was at the level we requested, but lukewarm, at best. The vegetables were also not hot, and were also very obviously from a frozen bag , long since thawed. Limp, soggy, only warm. The Yorkshire Pudding was pasty in the center, but the rest was good. We asked for the potatoes to be replaced, they brought another batch, same thing, cooked better, but still hard in the center. Our drinks of choice were Irish Cider, so with the drinks, food, and tip, the bill came to (roughly) $70. Totally not worth it. They either need to go back to the drawing board for this "Traditional" English Dinner, or try something else. The potatoes would have been fine had they not been so large wedges, the aus jou needed to be replaced by a thicker English "gravy", and the vegetables replaced with fresh, not frozen. All in all it was not a pleasant experience. One side note. We said something AFTER paying the bill, and the general staff attitude was, meh !. This place is MUCH BETTER than that.

This is the third time the restaurant serve me a spoiled vegetable in the corn beef and Cabbage meal the last three months. Fist time they do change the vegetables with cauliflower. In the second time I walked away. The third time today fresh vegetables mixed with old spoil one the (Carrots) I explained to my very polite Server. I use to come to this place ones a week , I dropped to ones a month but look like they don’t care what they serve. I will never return again This place is not worth it especially with the disease going right now

Visiting from the U.K. and thought we would check this place out as staying round the corner. Had a slight musty smell and could probably do with a really good deep clean but otherwise could not fault it. Food was the biggest surprise - massive portions and really delicious. I had the liver which was amazing and husband had the buffalo chicken burger which was twice the size of the bun! Wide choice of drinks, really friendly, very attentive staff Would definitely recommend if in the area.

We stopped in for lunch on July 4 and were pleased with the restaurant. It had been awhile since we visited but it still has the British Pub "feel" with a good British menu. Their Fish & Chips lunch special was very good as was their Shepherd's Pie. Good lunch and nice staff, too.

Fish n’ Chips average at best. As an Englishman I feel I have a bit of an edge in this area. Let me start with the fish. The actual fish is pretty good but the batter is poor. They make the mistake of not drying the fish before applying the batter. It has to be completely dry otherwise the batter is not crispy. Now onto the chips. They are just plain awful. When you hold out a chip it should be crispy and not hang like a wet noodle. The coleslaw is actually quite good. The cost of $18.18 is bad good value. Although the portion is good Size it does not negate the fact it is average. This fish n’ Chips really is not worth more than $10

Although this restaurant is in a strip mall the inside ambience is very nice. There is a square bar and tables up a step on both sides of the room. We sat at a booth and studied the menu; it was our first visit - from out of town. It was 2pm on a Sunday and the place was about packed. I decided on a reuben sandwich, my husband the fish sandwich with a cup of soup. The Reuben was huge and came with a mound of french fries, well done as I had asked. The fish sandwich bread was smaller but the fish hung out on both sides. All of the food was done perfectly and absolutely delicious! I had the best reuben sandwich I have ever had in my life. There was no grizzle at all! Just moist tender meat! The restaurant has good quality flatware and those paper napkins that appear to be cloth. Our server, Alba was fantastic! She answered our questions, brought me spicy mustard way before my sandwich arrived and brought my husband a refill of his soda without asking him. Her service was spot on! This is now our favorite restaurant in Dunedin.

Had a dinner bogo & hubby loves the cod/haddock fish & chips chef's special. So we popped in & had the haddock this time cuz had cod last time. Comes w/fries & slaw. I had salmon dinner, but didn't like dill sauce as much as expected. Comes w/2 sides, but the veggie combo had 1 carrot & pepper, was mostly broccoli & cauliflower. Best was the tiny carrot cake, verrry tasty. Great tv screens, music is on Wed only, dadgummit.

Had a coupon, went to ck it out, neat! Fascinating menu, had something called Scotch Egg ."Seasoned ground pork battered and fried with a hardboiled egg in the center. Served chilled with English pickled relish and pickled onions", ever so cool. Can't wait for the live music to come back. Hubby had Easter special of the ham w/pineapple, mashed & gravy, w/many veggies. Dessert was rice pudding & English bread pudding w/ice cream, delish! Next time I hafta try that sampler & carrot cake... looks great! Wonderful service from Dakota too. :D

We decided that we would go here for dinner and we sat at the bar because we thought that the service might be better. Nope. We sat down, there were two bartenders and we were passed up twice before the bartender came by us and served two people who had come in after us. I told my wife that we were out of there. I guess we were invisible. Don't do this to me. I have had mixed feelings about this place over the last three years and will not go back as they have disappointed me too many time. Terrible.

Worse Scotch eggs ever. I don’t know what they do to ruin this dish. Being from the UK originally and tried these all over US I can say these are the worse. Cheap sausage and greasy and over cooked. Honestly this place is awful. Don’t go if you looking for British food as it’s not, a total insult to English food. Never again.
