Great spot, and the cochinillo (suckling pig) was my favorite since the skin is thin and crispy. Your not getting huge portions here, but definitely quality and tasty. They have a prefixes menu for $39 that seems like a great value for the quality.

I had read a few reviews before making my reservation. The restaurant was excellent in every way! I made a late reservation and was able to be seated on a very busy Saturday night. As I waited to be seated, I admired the beautiful indoor seating area, a nice ambiance and would be a great place to go on a date. I was seated outdoors. I received excellent service. I ordered a salad and the Cornish Hen for the entree. The Cornish hen was succulent—very tasty, The potatoes were also delicious. For dessert, I ordered a modern Lemon Pie. It tasted almost like a key lime pie with a delicious crust, accompanied by meticulously sculpted tiny meringue tufts and homemade pineapple ice cream. A delicious combination and a pleasant culinary experience. The owner made all guests feel welcome and took time to speak with each diner at length. Although this was my first visit, it will not be my last. I will return soon and look forward to another tantalizing dining experience. Thoroughly enjoyable!!! Thank you!!!

During our weekend in New Haven, local friends recommended that we dine at Olea because of its high-quality Spanish fare and wonderful service. We were very impressed and believe it ranks among the best dining experiences we’ve had — a tall compliment coming from this reviewer. The menu is flavorful and varied (charcuterie, Jamón ibérico, octopus, Cornish hen, Branzino, suckling pig — and cannoli). Each dish was prepared with attention to detail — well constructed, visually appealing, with balanced components. We were very happy with all of these dishes. For example: the featured salad was a grilled squash with candied pumpkin seeds adorned with a light, lemon olive oil dressing. Olea presents sophisticated flavor profiles without the pretentiousness of white table cloth restaurants .

Its talented chef presents Spanish cuisine with creativity and authenticity, never fails to delight both the palates and the eyes. First time at this classic and we were very impressed. The decor is modern and clean. The service was outstanding. The menu, while not huge, is varied and all will find something delicious. The food was presented beautifully. The gazpacho was amazing. The ceviche was outstanding. All of our main course dishes were excellently prepared with fresh ingredients. The desserts were also great! Will be back!

Service was good but waiter did not ask how I liked it until the end. Food was sub-par at best. Food needed a lot more seasoning and was delivered less than room temperature. In fact it was cold. Very disappointed and it was relatively tasteless. One of the others at our table thought her food was cold also. That is not acceptable. Deserts were good. Won’t return.

What a gem of a place. This restaurant is a bit off the beaten path. We had reservations which I suggest you make before coming. The restaurant is a bit small but with plenty of tables. We started with the charcuterie board which was an excellent start. It came with cured meats, cheeses, nuts, pâté and bread. My girlfriend also had the croquettes of rabo which she loved. For my entree I had The solomillo (steak with veggies) cooked perfectly. For dessert we had the torrija which was so creamy and delicious. Definitely, a great meal which we will definitely visit again.

Invited by friends to join them for dinner here, a new experience for all of us. The space is just beautiful, artfully designed and very comfortable. The staff are wonderful, warm, courteous and attentive. But you’re probably interested in the food! What a unique menu: we shared delicious charcuterie, ceviche and I had gazpacho (I know, it’s winter…) which was very refreshing and hopefully will tide me over til summer. I had seared sea scallops over a cauliflower mash with a wonderful herb garnish. Our friends had branzino, eggplant cannelloni and Corniche hen. I tasted the latter and an testify to its moist, tender deliciousness. Desserts and coffee also didn’t disappoint. Prices are reasonable for such a great experience. We’ll definitely be back and will be passing our recommendation to other foodies.

We called ahead to reserve the tasting menu for a special occasion. The meal was outstanding and the service was incredible. Each course topped the next and we had a hard time deciding which was our favorite - squid ink pasta with seafood, quail, and the most incredible pork. We also loved the wine pairings and non-alcoholic options. We can't wait to go back!!

If I could give more that 5 stars, I would. Was one of the great meals of all time. Octopus appetizer was spectacular as was the sucking pig dinner. And the dessert was to die for. Not only was the food spectacular, but the service was just as good. A must for dinner.

Outstanding food and service. Staff was attentive but did not hover. Wine list offered both reasonably priced and high end selections. Menu provided the opportunity to try something new.

I lived in Spain for over a year and have been back many times. I actually liked their Spanish food better than most food in Spain. Everything we had was prepared with a very light touch and was much healthier and tastier than what we normally eat in Spain. The bread was authentic and good, the winter salad with pistachio dressing was AMAZING - super light- almost dusted with dressing and mache and radicchio, the gazpacho was incredible (and I'm picky), the setas (mushrooms) nice and garlicky and the butternut squash soup great too. Daniel was the most amazing waiter -so attentive. he would pop back and notice we needed more bread or the smallest thing without being intrusive- a true professional. Thanks Daniel and the team for making our light dinner so special -yum!!!!
