Our recent visit to Zinc (Dec. 29) couldn’t have been better. First service was excellent (Matt), drinks arrived quickly, and the appetizers were delicious. Our entrées were outstanding, seared tuna, a Vietnamese style chicken dish, and roasted Scottish salmon. Overall a memorable night (our 40th anniversary with friends). To top it off the couple next to us payed for our wine anonymously!!

Was nearby for work so had dinner at the bar. The bar tender being extremely accommodating on replacing some starchy sides for some healthier options (I'm following a keto diet), the food was superb. The food is locally sourced and menu changes often, and the pork belly entree was tasty and went well with flash fried brussel sprouts. My colleague had the chicken and said it was phenomenal. On Monday they have $6 martinis, and as tempting as that was we opted out - maybe next time.

Visited during the pandemic times. We sat on the patio in the back of the Zinc, where usually the Zinc bar and pizza is. Location otherwise really lovely, but the sound of the loud dirt bikes and harleys is almost amplified by the structures near and can be a little distracting at times. Food was overall really good. Lettuce wraps really good, the burgers also great, although one of them was a bit overcooked. The Korean Pork bowl was also good, but the flavor was little overwhelmed by the hot sauce. Great experience otherwise.

Ate here last night. First time in a few years. Have probably eaten her 20 times since they originally opened years ago. Service was excellent. Prices are not outrageous. My wife had the duck flatbread which was served more on a sort of wanton. The idea and ingredients were good and a fun idea. The duck however, was dry and sparse. Not much on there. It made the dish a disappointment. She also had the pork belly which was superb and we would highly recommend. I had the green salad which was huge and delicious. Fresh with a wonderful mix of greens and some seeds and a great non creamy dressing. Highly recommended. I had the Yellow fin tuna. Quite a disappointment. The fish was well prepared but the two pieces on my plate were rather small and I thought for $34 there would be a bit more. Maybe a 3rd piece. I definitely have never wanted large portions of food but this was is considerably underserved, my wife commented before I said anything. The fried spinach on the plate overwhelmed the plate and covered my minescule portion of fish. Something went wrong with the spinach because it was greasy. I've had fried spinach numerous times and never experienced that. Couldn't eat more than a few bites. Definitely not light as is the intention with this side. This is the only time we have been disappointed in this restaurant.

I'd heard really good things about this restaurant and decided to take family here while they were visiting from out of town, and it was a fabulous experience. It's not a humongous restaurant, which allows for more personal attention. We had made a a reservation and were seated promptly by a friendly staff person, and our server came to take our drinks orders. The menu also isn't very large, but each dish is exquisitely prepared, so even though we all ordered different dishes, everything was superb. The gnocchi and duck leg comfit were amazing! They also have a really good drinks menu.

Went for a celebratory meal and it was a great meal from beginning to end. Nicely lit up for the winter and cozy booths allowed us to have an intimate evening.
Menu was filled with eye catching choices. We loved the Saigon Beef Lettuce Wraps - the mint/peanut/chili/lime flavors were spot on. Pork dumplings and the roasted pork belly were also nicely thought out and prepared.
Nice wine list. Fun dessert list. Great service

My wife and I loved all our dishes, service was excellent and the ambiance was nice. Lettuce wraps with Korean short ribs were a taste treat. Nice radicchio and endive salad with shallot vinaigrette. Wonderful, moist Vietnamese flavored chicken and delicious raviolis with bolognese sauce. Good selection of wines by the glass covering many varietals.

Let’s just start by saying, if I could give them more than 5 stars I would absolutely do so. As we entered, they checked in our coats and proceeded to seat us. The restaurant was dimly lit but perfect for a romantic dinner. Our server was quite attentive but not overbearing.
To start our meal we had the 3 cheese board which came with some bread, jam and fruit as well. The cheeses were really good, a nice way to start. For our meals I had the double cut pork chop which was cooked perfectly, served over some beans and butternut squash. My girlfriend had the bolognese served with sausage. Both meals were cooked perfectly. For dessert we had a pear tart which was served with a pistachio sauce which was really good. We really enjoyed the meal and service and would definitely go back in the future.

We were quite disappointed with this restaurant. I ordered a specialty cocktail and it was watered down and tasted like lemon lime water. My friend ordered a French martini and it was not good. I ordered the salmon dinner and I did enjoy the small piece of salmon, but the beans were under cooked and the purée was bland. My friend had the Vietnamese chicken and she said the chicken was dry and there was too much rice. The service was excellent .

ZINC came highly recommended by a friend, so I celebrated my birthday there. We were a party of 7. The atmosphere and decor is very nice, and we had a great table by the window.
Service was great from the moment we walked in. Drinks were very unique. The wine list extensive.
We were started off with two small plates, compliments of the house...cucumber with salmon and something else, that was delicious, and yummy bread with fennel and some other spices, with a dipping sauce that was also delicious. I had the pork tenderloin, and it was superb!
In retrospect, I should've tried ZINC without kids (we had a 10 and 7 year old kids with us), the menu is fascinating but not really for kids (my daughter did devour the pork belly, but not the gin soaked watermelon). Going to come back without the kids.

The overall experience was delightful. We were greeted by a long legged hostess and seated in a lovely corner table that gave us a nice view of the front section. We started off with two delightful cocktails, including a cider based cocktail. We enjoyed two small plates including a slab of butternut squash covered with a goat cheese purée and some beef lettuce wraps with fresh ginger. For our main courses I enjoyed the seafood cioppino. My husband, the Skipper, had yellowfin tuna with a wasabi purée and crispy spinach side and a spring roll with dipping sauce. Everything was delicious and fresh from the farm. We had a splendid bottle of Bordeaux to accompany our dinner. We had a scrumptious roulade for dessert. The wait staff, featuring Wendy, our server was very attentive to our every need. A very satisfying experience and meal.

We were so fortunate to have visited during Restaurant Week! We ordered from the special menu, each getting one appetizer, one main, and one desert. Everything was delicious. We had small plates of: fall spiced blue hubbard soup and broccoli & quinoa salad, main plates of: smoked beef brisket and wild mushroom bolognese, the cheese plate, and dessert of: flourless chocolate cake and sorbet + gelato. It was a feast and an amazing experience. Try the specially drinks as well!

While visiting New Haven, we stopped for late lunch here as the menu had great variety of dishes!! We had the crispy artichoke hearts that were amazing and served with roasted garlic aioli. So delicious! I’m going to attempt to replicate at home!! And for entree I had the grilled chicken Cobb salad and my children had the steak frites and as my son said the steak just melted it was so tender and cooked to perfection!! Great place and loved the decor!!

Absolutely incredible food. I was a particular fan of the “Ricotta Gnocchi.” The notes of pungent goat’s cheese paired synergistically with the crisp asparagus and playful dates. Our stomachs were filled and our spirits rejoiced. Would definitely recommend to a colleague or friend, close or not. Be sure to take a look at the “Hickory Smoked Nachos” too! You’re in for a treat.

Mussel appetizer and stuffed clams(only 2) were very tasty. Tuna main course had soggy tuna like it was previously frozen. Fried spinach was tasty but a bit oily. Excellent attentive service.
