Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A wild wet day in Millport made much better by visiting Frasers for lunch. The place is very clean the staff were all really nice and helpful and also happy to talk. The food was of an excellent standard and we would highly recommend this to others. We would definitely visit again.

Visited Millport for the day yesterday in glorious sunshine.
Being coeliac it’s always a stress when it comes to eating out but Frasers was amazing.
Lovely bar and great menu with gf marked.
Staff were efficient and friendly.
I had the gammon steak and when I asked if the chips were done in the same fat as gluten items was told they would be done separately.
What a joy!
All four of us enjoyed our lunch enormously and look forward to returning.
Well done all at Frasers.

While on holiday for 3 nights in Millport we had our evening meal each evening in Frazers. The service was really good and never had to wait long on our food being served. Steak and Ale pie is a must as is Roast Beef dinner. Absolutely delicious. I would also recommend the Lemon chicken goujons as a starter. Five stars for quality and service. Will be back again for more next year.

Very clean and professionally run. Very good social distancing policy. Very polite and helpful staff. I had steak small and overdone with so much pepper that I could not taste the steak, I think that the only thing that came to our table that was not out of the freezer was the bits of tomato and the waitress, having said that; it was OK but I would not hurry back.

Actually very disappointed i was in Fraser’s bar tonight a couple had ordered food the food arrived and was freezing cold . The guy got up walked to kitchen to say to staff as no bar staff were present. When the what i presume was owner came back the guy said he was disappointed in standard of food as he has eaten there before. Long story short diner went to bar to order a drink and he was told he was barred from complaining as other customers had overheard him complain and he did not like the way guy had complained !!

Lovely little pub however I found the female staff member who was behind the bar to be rude and very abrupt. Did not seem interested in serving drinks to anyone who was not a local patron. Despite the bar not being busy I had a fairly long wait to be served and when I was eventually served it would be fair to say she appeared uninterested, for example when I asked if there was crisps available I was met with a nod towards the floor. My friend and myself promptly finished the drinks we had purchased and left due to feeling uncomfortable in this environment. Unfortunately I would not go to this establishment again due to the experience we had.

Frasier Bar is a classical Scottish pub located close to the bus-terminal in Millport, Cumbrae. Frasier offers beers, drinks, finger food and pub dishes. Frasier Bar is popular with Scottish tourists from Glasgow and locals. Service is adequate and friendly.
Discovering the island on foot we were tempted for lunch. You order at the bar and are served in the pub. Behind the family lounge you find the small court terrace. We went for a double toast with mayonnaise-tuna and a double toast with cheese, ham & pickles, both with salad and tea. The toasts were very good and tasty.
Frasier Bar is a good place for a drink or a lunch.

Didn’t expect it to be so busy on a Saturday night at the end of September but it was! Arrived just after 530pm got the last table in family dining area!
Ordered food and drinks at the bar, made aware could be a 40min wait, which was fine, and the food arrived a little before that. Orders were leaving kitchen quick and fast.
Prices are extremely fair for the current climate and food good quality pub fare. Absolutely no complaints. The staff were all friendly and pleasant.
We may have found our new go to in Millport :)

We had the roast beef and steak and ale pie. Both were excellent - I mean really , really good. We went to order at 5pm but orders were not taken until 530pm by which time the place was full and everyone ordered at the same time. We were warned things might take some time - they did. 40 mins , but well worth the wait. Will certainly be back.

We decided to have a trip over from Largs to Millport for lunch, to celebrate a family member's birthday. We went to Frasers and had a lovely lunch; roast beef dinner, fish and chips and Madras Curry. All the food was excellent and good value, staff were attentive and kind, a lovely fire was lit and we felt very relaxed. Thank you for a great afternoon.

Very poor poor quality fish and chips at a seaside resort. The fish was undoubtedly frozen and out of a box from a low quality supplier. Looked and tasted like something from the school dinner hall from the 70s. Won’t be back for food.

This was our second visit to Frasers. On previous visits the young man on duty was very polite, even called us back to say they had a free table in the garden. We always stood at the door on each visit as we had dogs with us, the young man asked us to check in then directed us to the garden.
The next visit we stood at the door, again with our dogs and a very rude woman virtually pushed us out of the bar saying dogs are not allowed in the bar. I tried to ask about the beer garden availability but was shepherded out and told the garden is full. She asked if l wanted to leave my number but due to her rudeness l declined. I don't know if it was because we are English, but it spoiled my original opinion of the place. I commend the young man for his politeness but the woman should take cusromecrelations courses.

On holiday in millport and was on the lookout for somewhere cosy with decent "pub grub" . Fraser's hit the mark with the cosy bar and separate dining area. Staff were friendly and efficient and although reasonably quiet when we went it ,it became very busy .(Always a good sign ) Would highly recommend stopping in for a bite to eat or even just a drink . Outdoor seating to the rear x

We went (back) to Millport with our grandaughter for the day. The last time we visited this pub was 3 years ago. Glad to see even with the curre t covid restrictions, the food is still good. Friendly helpful staff, screens at the bar and contactless payment plus free wifi to use the contact and trace app. Food is very reasonably priced and we will be back!
