Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

As always, 626 on Rood has great-tasting, innovative food dishes. And their wine list is the most extensive in the Grand Valley. This most recent time, we went during "Restaurant Week" in Grand Junction. The restaurant had a special prix fixe menu for 2, which...was great for my wife and me. The servings were of an appropriate size, so that we weren't stuffed by the end of the final course 4. The wait staff is probably the best in Grand Junction -- very helpful and knowledgeable about the food and wine and appropriately attentive but not intrusive. My only quibble with the restaurant is that the noise level is high when the majority of tables are filled. That said, 626 Rood is 1 of the 3 of our personal "date" restaurants in town.More

First time dining here…did not disappoint. Love how quint this restaurant is. I had the sea bass and it was cooked perfectly . My sweetheart ordered the St.Pattys Day special which was Wagu Beef corned beef and cabbage . His meal was incredible also !

We decided to go out for dinner before our date with the symphony. My pet peeve about going out for dinner in the US is that I always feel rushed through my meals because servers want your table for the second or third seatings. Not...at 626 on Rood. The symphony started at 730pm and I thought 6pm reservation would give us plenty of time. The meal was nicely paced, allowing time for us to eat 3 course and enjoy a few cocktails. We couldn't believe it was 715pm when we walked out. We could have easily started at 530pm. As for the food. It did not let us down. Fresh, local ingredients beautifully prepared. It was so nice for a menu to offer multiple whole food plant based options. The tempura cauliflower was crisp and served with some tasty side sauces. My partner ate the flank steak salad as a main and the meat melted in his mouth. Equally as good were the artichoke pesto and the curry. The cocktails were well thought out and delicious. It was well worth the cost and I would go back again. Hoping when it is purchased by new owners it doesnt change.More

We've been here three times and each time it was great. They have wine flights that are tasty and reasonably priced. The food is so good - everything we've tried has been top notch. Would definitely recommend this spot.

We arrived a little early for our reservation and were seated immediately. The staff was friendly. We had cocktails and the truffle fries to start. Both were excellent! Dinner was well presented and tasty. Dessert was divine! Highly recommend!!!

We had a very lovely dinner here. Everything offered is fresh, garnished with ingredients from the garden. Dishes are interesting and innovative, using whatever is in season. The wine list is incredibly, with dozens of offerings. Of particular note (but not the only thing) was...an excellent Marquis de Sade Mouse. Service was first rate. Five stars all the way.More

Don't bother. So - lets be honest... was the food itself good? Yes. The steak, the appetizers were all very very good. So, why go elsewhere? Let's see... Check your ticket ... the price of the bottle we got (from the flight) was $4 more...than the menu price. No big deal - its just $4. But, the waiter practically admitted he knew - and did not tell us, and then the "floor manager" came over to apologize and said things that went against what the waiter said. It was clear to us they all knew the price was wrong - but they all neglected to tell us... Just $4... multiple that by the number of people that order and don't check the receipt. Then, on the flight (the big beautiful blend), my wife and I both felt the one wine was bad. So we told the waiter... twice. His response each time.. "Oh, I will go taste it and if its bad bring you a new glass". Guess what - he never tasted it, never followed up and never mentioned it again, and no -no one - one said anything. Add to that - a 6 oz filet, perfectly cooked served over a tiny bed of mashed potatoes with some carrots on the side $59!. Seriously.... 2 people, 3 appetizers and one shared plate as well as 1 bottle of the wine on the flight - $260. Not worth it. Lastly, we both had coffee... An Espresso and a Cappuccino. No option for sugar or anything... just a cup of coffee... properly sized, but no offer of anything.. sugar cubes, lemon, spoons, nada.... Seriously... for this price at the least it should be fancied up! Yea - Grand Junction has lots of options...More

This was a delightful evening for us. The food is creative and delicious and the wine is good. We shared 4 small plates between the two of us. The escargot was especially good, but the roasted cauliflower and calamari were a close second. We also...enjoyed the duck pate. Expect the wine to be pricey, though. One glass cost about the same as a typical bottle of wine.More

Food was over thought and over priced. Better food is had in much higher end places for less money. The rotund bartender was the only redeeming quality of the restaurant but that has changed. Why pay so much for the owners to drink heavily behind...the bar while they ignore your empty glasses. I'm sure the 90's Alice Waters rip off worked for a while but we need at least as good of restaurants as Boulder/Aspen/Etc had 15 years ago. It's more expensive to live here than it was there in 2007.More

No matter what you may read in "10 best dog friendly" this is not! It is just so frustrating because they have made NO attempt to update their website, work with there marketing people or just state somewhere they do not allow dogs.
