Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We walked by on Sunday and there were people waiting outside to be seated for breakfast , so I figured they must be good. We returned on a weekday for lunch and I wax pleasantly surprised. The sandwich and quiche we had were delicious! They...have nice vegetarian and vegan options. I will return when visiting Grand Junction.More

We love Cafe Sol. It is always great food and friendly staff. We drive from neighboring town, Fruita for their breakfast.

This place has gone downhill. I always appreciated their healthy approach.. but …Less food, crazy high prices!! $34 for 1/2 soup and 1/2 salad combo and 1 small slice of quiche and a lemonade. It’s mayhem at the register with long lines, one person often...taking orders and answering the phone. The wait for the food is not long though.More

Just had a delicious bean burger. My sister got the turkey bacon panini. Very quick service and good lunch stop in the downtown area.

The place was busy, probably because the food was good. I had the peaches sandwich which was great, except I had to remove the hot jalapeño! My friend who needs gluten-free was able to get it easily. Service was quick.

We came to the Cafe 10 minutes before closing and were told to go ahead and be seated - and would be served. We were having a late lunch so we appreciated the great attitude. All the staff was very positive and friendly. My wife...loved her hearty turkey panini sandwich and my large monument salad was flavorful and perfectly seasoned. We both took out half of our meals. We will be back when in town for superb meals and service.More

Wow! What a great restaurant for both vegan/veggies and normies! My wife is gluten free (not by choice, she always wants the baked goods here) and they have amazing salads, soups and paninis. I have gone here a few times for breakfast to work/nosh and...always blown away with the food quality and service! Good one on ya mates!More

My friends and I were strolling around downtown Grand Junction and decided to stop in at Café Sol for lunch. We had a delightful time! It was quite crowded when we first arrived, with a line at the counter to order, but very quickly a...table opened up and the three of us were able to sit down. The line to order moved quickly, and by the time we’d put down our bags to go up to the counter there was no wait. One of my friends just wanted coffee, but the other two of us ordered the lunch combo. My friend had the beet salad and turkey panini, and I had the pear and goat cheese salad and quiche of the day. Everything was delicious! Even my friend’s coffee was yummy, and served in a real diner coffee mug. They have sustainable practices, with cloth napkins, real silverware, plates, and glasses. The portions are just right for lunch, and the food is extremely fresh, with wonderful flavors. The ambience of the café is bright, airy and welcoming, with high ceilings and local artwork covering the walls. The staff is friendly and efficient. The menu is extensive, with something to please every palate. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Café Sol and will be back soon!More

My partner and I had a late breakfast here recently We dined out front. You order at the counter and they bring out your order. The menu has many fresh, healthy options, the service was very friendly. I had a slice of quiche with sourdough...toast that was quite good. Inexplicably, it was served with a side of mayo. My partner had the American breakfast, which turned out to be a huge pile of food. Looked like six slices of bacon. Everything tasted fresh and good. Highly recommend.More

I ordered the Crunch salad for lunch. It was large & soooo good. The combo of arugula, almonds, cucumber, apple, craisins, and....grape nuts was sooooo delicious. Served in a metal bowl and the cutlery was wrapped in adorable/unique cloth napkins. Low key staff, great prices...and healthy fresh ingredients. I only wish Aspen had the same restaurant!More

When we were there with friends we couldn’t hear each other because of a very loud coffee machine that was on so many times the entire sleepy citizenry must have shown up that day. We didn’t talk much and left as soon as we could....My wife went in there recently to see what was on the menu and the radio was so loud she couldn’t concentrate. The long room and open kitchen reflects sound through the entire room. I guess the staff doesn’t want customers because they are driving them away. Oh, the food. It’s ok. If you don’t want meat on your meal, there are very few selections. And you have to stand on line to order, an all too often situation lately. Because of back problems, standing on line is quite difficult for many of us, so there should be alternatives.More

Grand Junction was the halfway point on our drive from Denver to Monument Valley, and I am so glad we were able to stop at this charming, bright, and energetic eatery on the way! You have to get off the main road just a bit...to get to it, but parking was easy and the atmosphere and food are both fantastic. We shared a delicious sandwich and a giant salad and were more than satisfied. We also go a couple of their giant cookies to go and were able to make them last for two days (though we wanted to eat the whole things right there). Service is great--you order at the counter and it's brought to your table--and the staff couldn't be nicer or more cheerful. We wish we had a place like this near us--we'd find it hard not to eat there every day, and I hope we get to go back someday to try more things off of their menu.More

Large menu, fresh ingredients. Breakfast burrito was tasty, western salad was good but a little bland. Also a little pricey, but for good ingredients that's fine.

We ate here for brunch and were pleased with their wide selection for vegans/vegetarians. The service was very friendly. The best part was their restroom where their walls are all blackboard - so you can write positive messages in chalk and read positive messages written...by others. The food was very good and abundant. Would definitely recommend this place.More
