Really lovely place!
We were passing through Grand Junction for one night and had this place recommended to us. It did not disappoint. We had take away pizza, great service, food quality and price. The decor and atmosphere was spot on, quirky, clean and welcoming.
The owner was really helpful giving us suggestions on portion sizes so we didn’t over order.
She was also so helpful giving us suggestions of places to visit on our road trip. Makes all the difference getting insider knowledge.
Thank you so much for the advice and service. We’ll definitely stop off again if we are in the area.

Very good choice! We came later in the evening, about 8:00. They were gracious enough to seat a large group 1/2 hour before they closed. Did not feel rushed in any way. I had the chicken Davala. Great dish! Most of what they serve are pasta dishes, but they did have quite a few salads if you are watching blood sugar. A very pleasant dining experience!

Fantastic meal and service. Atmosphere warm and quiet - very relaxing. The waiter, Scott, was quite busy but still "on it" with attention to us and our meal. I ordered a custom pizza which they were happy to accommodate - spicy Diavalo sauce, veggie with chicken added and it was the bomb! The salad was crisp and fresh. Always a great choice.

Visited Citrola's for the first and last time. Took our daughter there for her 37th birthday. Called ahead to see about reservations and unless your a party of 6 they don't take them which is acceptable. What is not acceptable is that we were left standing in the seating are waiting for a table. I spoke to twodifferent people about a seat and the first young lady said let me look for a palace for 4 adults and one child with a high chair and she left never to be seen again. The seating area continuee to fill with customers who just stood as we did waiting for a host/hostess to address them - never happenhed. A young couple came in and a wait person came to the waiting areda and sat them immedialtey - never checked ont hose who had been standing there at least 15 mins. She sat this young couple and disappeared. I had to find her and ask he about seating us and she said"we are short staffed tonight" and that was it. i returned to the waiting area and one party left, must have been tired of wiating . There were only two people wiating in the lobby and they were pickups for their dinner. One gentleman had been waiting at least 30 mins and the other at least 15 for takeout orders.
We left. I will never visit there again and as a Grand JUnction native they will never be suggested to friends or visitors to this area.
"Short staffed" your host/hostess is the first impression for a restaurant, don't have one, shame on you. Wait staff covering the door? Train them!!

OK, so I just discovered this little gem. Be aware, the food does take a while after you order it, so don't be in a hurry.
Appetizers. First we had the Mussels Bianco and Roasted Brussel Sprouts. The Spouts were amazing, I would gladly order them again. The sauce on the Mussels was great, although the mussels themselves were slightly overdone.
Salads. We went for the Greek Salad and Caeser Salad. Both were very good.
Entree. We decided on the Chicken Parmesan Diavolo and Buffalo Ravioli. Both were great, but the Buffalo Ravioli really stood out with an amazing sauce. The Chicken Parmesan Diavolo was great as well with a spicy sauce on the fettuccine that was excellent. I will eat either of these again next time.
Service was Good. The waitress was very knowledgeable about the dishes and was a great help in deciding what we had.
Full Bar, the Gin and Tonics were good as well as their Iced Tea
The Grand Valley area, for the most part, is a culinary void with only an occasional restaurant that can provide a decent meal. I am glad to say Citrola's is one of the few good ones, Eat Here when you can.

Food phenomenal….waitress terrible, service poor. Wish we hadn’t gone. I feel bad that the server ruined the visit. The chef really knows his stuff. Husband had chicken parmigiana, I had chicken piccata-both were fabulous. Waited 10 minutes to be seated.
Everything else was a disaster thanks to Eden. She slammed every dish on the table from the get go, we think because after 15 minutes we asked for bread while we waited for our $3.50 salad which was less than a child’s hand full of lettuce with 2 tomatoes. We waited 15 minutes between the bread and salad. After another 20 minutes and no sighting of Eden, we asked another server if she could check our order. Suddenly, Eden whisked around the corner with our meals. Refused to look at us and started walking away. My husband asked for some Parmesan cheese and off she flew. 8 minutes later, she literally dropped a crusty, EMPTY jar on our table! We again asked another server to find Eden. She came, asked what we wanted and we asked for Parmesan cheese, 2 lemon wedges and water. She returned with a teaspoon of cheese in a plastic cup for us to share, and the lemons. No water. We ate our meal laughing as she avoided us, hiding in the bar. We asked for the check and left.
This girl clearly doesn’t understand the chef makes to please the customer or get it that the customer is paying her income.
Try some place else if you want an enjoyable evening. Eden ruined ours.

We had a great meal after a long day on the road. We decided to sit at the bar as the wait for a table was 30 minutes which is not excessive but we were tired. Our waitress was friendly and checked on us frequently even though it was a busy Friday evening.
My husband had Shrimp Scampi with Angle hair pasta that he said was delicious. I had Tuscan Salmon that was tender and delicious it was served over sautéed spinach, sun dried tomatoes, artichoke hearts and capers in a yummy lemon butter sauce. I could not finish it all because the serving was very generous. We both enjoyed wine with dinner and the servings were generous.
I would definitely come here again when in Grand Junction!!

Stopped here after a long day in the car. This restaurant was close to the hotel and I was craving pasta. I ordered a glass of white wine and when it arrived at the table, it was chilled! Sounds minor, but the number of times in my travels I've been served lukewarm wine... The wine was great! I ordered a side salad and buffalo ravioli in a marsala sauce. The salad was crisp with some fresh veggies, it was very good. The ravioli, and the sauce was delicious. I usually can't finish my dinner, my husband usually eats the last 30% of my meal. He finished the ravioli. There was some sauce left in the bowl, staff tried to clear the table, he wouldn't let them take the bowl, but asked for additional bread to soak up the sauce, it was that good.

On a trip with my family and I we decided to check out Citrola’s as we were feeling some Italian. The first things that my wife and sister noticed was the decor of the restaurant. Definitely made you feel like you were in Italy and entertained you as you were scanning the restaurant to continually find more small and hidden decorations. Our waitress was a young brunette girl named Eden who was very good. Everything she did was on time and quick and she definitely made the experience better as we never had to wait very long before she fulfilled our requests. She also sold us on some dinner as we enjoyed cheerful conversation with her throughout the dining experience. The food was absolutely delicious, we loved being able to get some more authentic Italian and also allow our boys to simply get some pizza while my wife and I enjoyed something a little more fancy. The desserts were also a staple to us. The chocolate mouse was delicious and the cheesecake our boys very much enjoyed. If it was simply a dessert place we would definitely be coming back just to try what we missed out on. Thankfully, there’s much more for us to try next time we make our way through Grand Junction. Looking forward to the next time we can dine here very much so!

Chose this restaurant out of convenience to our hotel. Just ordered a large pepperoni and extra cheese pizza. Was surprised by the size of their large pizza, no way the wife and I could eat it all. This was quite possibly the best pizza we have ever had, tasted great very hot and fresh. Would recommend highly.

The plan was dinner and a movie. We gave ourselves an hour and a half for dinner and Citrolas only managed to get us out at an hour 20 because we asked for the bill before we finished eating.
We arrived at 6 on a Saturday night - already out of shrimp and ravioli. We tried to order a second brussel sprout appetizer but they were out of that too. The experience was very blah, as was the food. A crazy turn around from a year ago when I was there. Avoid Citrolas if you are looking for great food and service.

On our cross country roadtrip, we stopped in Grand Junction for dinner and the night. We walked to Citrola's from our hotel and had a good Italian dinner. We were the only people sitting outside on the patio and it was pleasant in the shade. We had pasta with meatballs- the meatballs were huge and the sauce was great- some spice to it. The server said they make the meatballs and sauce in house every day. Service was slow but they were understaffed and we weren't in any hurry. A pleasant dinner on all bases.

Good food. Problem was the billing. Citrolas has decided to add a SERVICE charge on all credit card sales. Our bill before tax was $160.00 and they added $6.53 service charge. Don’t throw a service charge in my face. Add 50 cents to each meal. Ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Would not go back for that reason

Wednesday night fairly quite in the restaurant. No probleming getting a table at 6pm for four and the service was good. We ordered 4 different entries and all were good. Calzone and stromboli where quite large with significant filling. We took half of each home for another meal. Great value at $14. Two other pasta dishes were good but nothing special. Appreciate the complimentary heated bread for the table. Chocolate cake was very rich and excellent. The didn't offer to do anything special for the person in our party celebrating a special dinner.

We have been to Citrola's probably 8-10 times over the last two years. The location is convenient if not very attractive on the outside. Inside is comfortable. We really like the food and the servers are doing it right. I appreciate that the owner is nearly always present and finds a momemt to say thanks.
As a former owner of a pizza business (19 years) I know that it takes commitment from the owner to keep the game rolling.
We like the pizza, the lasagne, the mussels!
Good place for an extended family event. Not as stuffy as some of the other italian places in town (that also have good food)
