Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Saw this place in magazine from chamber of commerce/visitor center. Cute decor with bar seating. Pork tenderloin needs a little work. Cabbage salad was great! Friendly staff.

Mid-week on the deck. Pretty much the only time we go to the Moon. My wife and I shared the wings and split a Gyro. Wings OK, but obviously SYSCO sauce. Gyro was good, but not in a pita pocket as purported. Service was good...and we'll be back sometime we need an outdoor experience.More

We meet with friends regularly and the Blue Moon is actually our favorite go to spot. We like the bar/grill atmosphere, friendly waitresses, happy hour prices on both wine and hors d ouevres (sp), home made soup and dinner options, all very good. In warmer...weather, the outdoor dinning is an added pleasure.More

High hopes dashed. The reviews and local comments on this place were strong although we were concerned when we arrived. There appeared to be 5 servers plus the bartender and about a dozen customers. We sat at the bar. We asked for water and the...bartender was annoyed when we asked for a drink list and menu. She provided a triangular drink stand but nothing else. We made a choice quickly from the short list of options. And waited. And waited. She never came to take our order, nor bring the water or menu. The other servers were grouped together talking and never helped. After she passed by for the sixth time without any acknowledgement. Finally, we left. We cant comment in the food as we were denied that opportunity by the staff.More

Visited here for lunch after arriving into Grand Junction. Menu offered enough variety, we all found something we liked. Service was friendly and food portions were generous. Potato salad was house made, but you’re gonna have to like pickles to love it. Overall, great meal...and would do it again.More

Lunch with a buddy…he was reluctant to go, but I hadn't been in years. It never was top of the line, but it was not even as good as it once was. The French fries were literally cold, the rest of the lunch wal alright,...and we were charged for more than we ordered. The server made good on it with the bill on the overages, but I think these folks are resting on the laurels of yesteryear. There is too much competition out there.More

Enjoyed happy hour drinks at the bar while snacking on various appetizers. Able to watch the KC Chiefs game. Took the recommendation of the bartender for appetizers and was not disappointed. Service was a little slow but the restaurant was very crowded (it was a...Friday night). Once the happy hour crowd left it was quieter and the service more attentive. Had smoked sausage plate and cheese quesadilla. Lots of flavor and plenty of food for 2. Prices were very reasonable.More

Our Greek salads were so drenched in dressing the little bit of lettuce provided was limp. On the plus the goodie factor in the salad was high. We ordered a polish sausage for the kids and it was a basic hot dog that for some...reason was dressed up with sprouts. The gyro meat was tasty but the tzatziki was beyond bland. The craft beer selection was underwhelming.More

Actually, quite happy. Anybody who reads my scribbling knows that I don’t think much of the Culinary Arts of the area, in fact I find it rather a culinary desert. Once in a while, I run into some pleasant exception – like Remingtons and the...Stone House in Montrose or the Goat and Clover in Junction. Blue Moon is such exception: the New England Clam Chowder can stand up to any New England town, the saganaki (Greek cheese sauteed and flambeed with Metaxa, the Greek cognac) is a must and comes with fresh beefsteak tomatoes and toasts, drinks are VERY decent size and price, and service is friendly, even if a bit distracted from time to time. But owner Brad and wife Theodora are there at all time, keeping a hawk eye at anything that might eventually go astray and taking care of it immediately. Great place, we’ll be back. Outdoor sitting, too!More

It was recommended by my friends neighbor. First time for my friends as well as us. It was ok. First: we had made reservations outside & upon arrival they apparently forgot & had wrong date. No biggie they accommodated us Within a reasonable amount of...time. Appetizers were half off before 630 & good. We had sweet chili wings, ( good), flaming Greek cheese ( only ok), onion wings (good), and bread with tomato? Blah. I ordered the mahi tacos, highly recommended but had to have another order of fish made as first batch grilled so much they looked blackened & extremely dry. Second batch good. Someone else wanted lamb burger; they were out. Then ordered the sausage sandwich; also out. Ended up w burger; was good. Someone else ordered fried green tomatoes sandwich. Tomatoes so thin couldn’t even see & wayyyy overfried; Bleck. Gyros were ordered; only ok. Nothing like a Greek place but tazieki sauce good. Wine pricy for that type of restaurant: just got a local California cab & was $12 glass. It wasn’t THAT good. Overall; glad we all tried but def not a rush to go back at all.More

It is rare to find a Monte Cristo on a restaurants menu. Prior to moving to CO from CA I knew two places in CA that had good ones. This Monte Cristo is excellent and all I ever order here. My wife tries different things...and all have been good. Their side salad is far better than you would expect too. In addition they have the BEST happy hour in town and it is the best deal too.More

When you want to enjoy a great steak and a martini don’t look any further than your local bar and grill. On the menu they have an excellent blackened ribsteak sandwich; blackened steak; or rib steak. Every piece of meat is handpicked by the owner...perfectly prepared and served with a smile. You won’t be sorry and you’ll enjoy it for $30 or less. This is a local hang out that you do not want to miss.More
