Visited on a weekday afternoon, place was comfortable and relaxed. The hostess was amazing and worked her tail off. The young surfer dude standing on the floor seemed kind of feckless or uncertain why he was there, but he was amiable enough. The smoked trout appetizer was fine alongside the House Bloody Mary's, but the entrees shone. The elk filet was presented rare and moist, while the trout was very light. The Ranch House saute was delicious and generous, more than my wife could finish

This small, eclectic restaurant is located at the north end of town, mixed in with other restaurants and shops. The restaurant is small enough that, at times, there is a wait to get seated. However, the food is very good, and the menu does change a little seasonally. Great food and a comfortable atmosphere make this a go to spot in Glenwood Springs. Drop in, you won't regret it.

We had an excellent experience at CO Ranch House from beginning to end. Without a reservation, we were seated in about 15 minutes in an inviting outdoor patio. Good beers, delicious cocktail and a wonderful bottle of wine (which I was able to taste first). The gluten free hamburger bun was a hit as was the ruby red trout. The crab cakes were some of the best any of us had ever had. Strawberry shortcake for dessert was a sweet end to a perfect meal. Everything was was outstanding especially the service. It was a pleasant evening that I would encourage you to try if you’re in the area.

Had dinner there when there was only outdoor dining (owner said she couldn't afford to open in house dining?), temp dropped to mid-60 degrees, no heat lamps, just blankets, and to top the evening, the owner herself came by to remind us that it was late and her staff had to work the next day. She then said the same to another table (wow). If that didn't leave a bad taste in my mouth, she came out as we were halfway down the street to yell at us about the tip. Hint: Don't serve patrons in 60 degree weather, not open the main dining area, then tell them to leave while dessert and coffee are still fresh on our table. T.o I.nsure P.roper S.ervice, the owner needs to stay far away from customers. Sadly had to break habit of promoting good businesses to write this 1 star review. It was that bad.

Had an hour and a half wait as no reservations were being taken on Father's Day. Very expensive for what you get for the money. Avoid the mussels appetizer all costs; very pricey, skimpy on the amount you get, plus some of them weren't opened! And who puts kolbassi in with mussels?? Wine list isn't extensive but again, expensive! The Field and Stream entre with trout and elk tenderloin was very good, the trout especially, and the tenderloin very petite to say the least.

Co. Ranch House is my new favorite in Glenwood Springs, which has no shortage of really good restaurants. My wife and I had a fabulous dinner there on a Saturday night(I had a filet topped with shrimp and it was amazing, we also had the blue crab dip which I highly recommend) Then, while my wife was busy with a work meeting, I went back for lunch on Sunday for a burger which was out of this world good. The food is excellent, ambiance is Colorado Cool, awesome building with lots of history, the back patio is one of the best anywhere, and the staff is absolutely amazing. Shout out to servers, Jared and Fancy and Krissy, the co-owner who was friendly and engaging, and all of the rest of the staff. I even had a couple of kitchen staff members stop by the table to make sure everything was good! Overall extraordinary experience…We will be back every chance we get.

Usually Trip Advisor is an excellent guide to restaurants, but not in this case. I ordered what was described in the menu as "lump crab meat cake" on a bed of greens. It wasn't lump crab meat at all, rather it was a round ball of mush. No sign of lump crab meat, and not edible. Waitperson, Stephanie, was extremely rude when I suggested that the description would be considered false advertising. She suggested that I was wrong, since "one owner lived in Baltimore and THEY knew what crab cakes taste like." It would have been a funny response if not delivered so rudely. I wouldn't even give this dinner one star. Eat somewhere else, or be very careful of what you order.

My family of four ate dinner here and loved every bite. Ordered the Pulled Pork sandwich, Trout, Salmon and a House Salad with Smoked Chicken. Everything was beautifully plated and the serving sizes were large. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and she made special arrangements to accommodate a food allergy. Please find time to eat here the next t time you are in Glenwood Springs!

We eat out often and know the restaurants in the area: Juicy Lucy's, Riviera, etc. CO Ranch House replaced the worst Italian restaurant that ever existed: Pepppo Nino's. We worried a bit when we tried it, but the food, the atmosphere, the staff-- all great! We've never had a bad meal here and have returned many, many times! I know some pretentious diners have complained because the ranch kids who wait on tables don't know the French names of the sauces the chef used, but take your nose out of the air and just enjoy the food! If you tell the server you need gluten free (my daughter has celiac disease), you'll discover that all gluten free dishes are prepared separately from regular and they'll tell you which are safe to order

Glenwood Springs is a lovely town. One of the features of staying here is the hot springs which is world renowned. When I stay in Glenwood Springs I usually stay at the Hotel Colorado, which offers that old 18th century feel in a town that is a throw back to the days of Cowboys. A walk way allows you an easy 1/8th mile walk to downtown Glenwood, where the Co. Ranch House is located along with a number of other bars and restaurants. We hit gold when we picked the Ranch House, as we were seated fairly quickly and treated to a very nice dinner. I had the pulled pork sandwich with homemade Potato Chips and Cole slaw. Other than the portion size of the pulled pork sandwich being a tad bit small, it was delicious. The Cole slaw is paired perfectly with the chips and sandwich. I’d give the entire meal a 5 out of 5 stars. My daughter had the Salmon with small golden round potatoes and sautéed spinach. she wasn’t as enthusiastic as she didn’t like the truffle butter on top. She’s 15 so her taste buds may be in a different universe, but she was satisfied but didn’t fully like the taste. She’s more of a salt and pepper on the salmon with a lime to squeeze on it. She gave the salmon dinner a 4 out of 5. It is a quaint small restaurant with character, and as about as good as it gets in Glenwood Springs. Would definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a nice meal after a long day in the hot springs or skiing.

This was a superb dining experience period from the field and stream (which was elk and trout) to the elk Bolognese, to the blackberry smash cocktail, this was a sensational experience. The staff was super friendly, and the portions were MORE than generous!! If you miss out it's your own dang fault! GREAT dining experience, and worth 6 stars!!

5 stars! What a great menu and outstanding customer service. We even got extra home made crisps for the road. My husband loved his smoked trout and buffalo Reuben and I loved my sides of beans and cake slaw. Perfect ice tea. Can’t praise this restaurant enough! Will definitely be back

Had not tried this Glenwood Springs restaurant before. Kind of kicking ourselves about that. This place is an unassuming gem. Over two nights, we enjoyed excellent apps, and delicious entrees from land and water. Had nice chats with the owner and the G.M. Friendly and professional service. But the thing that sets this spot apart is its excellent and VERY fairly priced wine list. Curated expertly by the owner of the restaurant, full of interesting wines. We wish they would take reservations, but we never had a problem getting in when we wanted. Put your name on the list and have a beer at Casey Brewing across the plaza. Just a sixty second stroll to your table. Lovely outdoor patio to boot. If you are a bit "foodie and wine-y," or if you just want a delicious casual meal, this is a "do not miss" in Glenwood. We'll be back.

Thank you! I love wine and always try to have an interesting list (albeit small) that is "value driven", not cheap but the best wine for the buck! So glad you enjoyed us so much to come back a second time, that is the biggest compliment I could imagine! Krissy

My family and I went for dinner on a recent Thursday evening. No reservation, no problem. Multiple outdoor dining areas to choose from and we were seated immediately. Great if dining with children, perfect for people watching while we ate. Loved that they are growing tomatoes, zucchini and chard in stylish little container gardens which double as dining area partitions...cool touch. Service was excellent. Wine and drink selection was great. My daughters tried "mocktails" which were really good. They feature adult cocktails made with locally distilled spirits, like Marble Distillery, which my husband loved. Their wine selection was great. Appetizers were delicious, loved the smoked salmon platter and the crab dip. For our entrees we tried the special Salmon (excellent) , a caesar salad with roast chicken (excellent) , the crab cakes (SO excellent) and a turkey sandwich (really good). Portions are big, so we took home leftovers. I had the other half of the turkey sandwich for breakfast the next morning and loved it! ;) We all split the double chocolate fudge brownie sundae for dessert. Baked desserts are made locally by Sunshine and Moons bakery here in Glenwood, and are beyond delish! We could not have been happier with our dinner and experience here, I highly recommend!

What a great place to eat after skiing! Decius steak cooked to order and tasty mixed drinks plus friendly and professional service make for a wonderful evening meal. We did the ribeye with crab special and it was to die for.
