The tacos are Amazeballs. my husband had the Barbacoa and I had the Margarita Shrimp — with mango and no cheese but lots of veggies and marinated shrimp grilled to perfection. They come with housemade chips and tomatillo salsa. Truly exceptional. The bathrooms are grimy so be forewarned, but they aren’t filthy. Just— these folks spend so much time being sweet to the hangry customers and making amazing food that they ignore the bathroom a little. No biggie, unless you are hoity toity. If you ARE hoity toity, then get over yourself and go have some of the best tacos in Colorado.

The food is original and fresh and sits in a beautiful area of the city. We had the Mac hot dog, the barbacoa tacos and the fried fish tacos. As families will do we shared bites and the crispy fish tacos were the favorite. While we sat, an incredible amount of people came through and ordered and the kitchen delivered. The food was good and it was efficient but the space was awkward. A line runs through the narrow space and it’s hard to get a table.

Hungry after our raft trip, we stumbled upon Slope & Hatch. A small restaurant, but the tables turn over fairly quickly, if you're willing to wait a bit OR we saw quite a few people picking up for take-out.
The crispy fish tacos were excellent. Good portion and the chips and salsa were excellent too. We'd be here often if we we were locals.

The staff gets 5 stars for friendliness and professionalism. I was disappointed after expecting better food and atmosphere from reviews. It was freezing inside so very uncomfortable for eating. The jerk chicken tacos were more like burnt chicken tacos. There was no jerk flavor to them--just burnt char taste. They were overstuff and sloppy so hard to eat and I could not taste the coconut mint crema that I was looking forward to. I wouldn't eat here again.

Great food, service, drinks and atmosphere. We placed an order for 11 people. When we payed the bill there was no mention of a gratuity added in so I gave a 20% tip since it was a big to go order. I was only shown the total on the screen to pay my bill. Once the receipt was printed I saw they had also added a 20% gratuity for themselves. I ended up paying nearly an $80 tip. I think this was a little sneaky.

We went based on the stellar reviews and unfortunately did not agree. For starters, we felt rushed through the ordering process. We mentioned it was our first visit but we’re given no suggestions or guidance and ended up ordering way too much food. The food was made with quality ingredients with good size portions but the flavors didn’t blend well. Save your money, especially if you’re hoping for real tacos!

I tried two kinds of tacos. The jerk chicken was very good, but the lamb curry really stood out. Super yummy and very unique! My other friend got a breakfast taco and really enjoyed hers as well. Their drinks were great too, especially considering the very reasonable prices($10). I had a mojito, which was very tasty and packed a surprising punch, and their seasonal hot apple cider sangria was yummy as well. My party all agreed that we'd definitely go back here if we return to Glenwood!

I try to eat plant-based, which is why I chose this place for lunch, and I wasn't disappointed! Loved their Thai Veggie Stir Fry tacos. Messy, a little heat, and a lot of flavor. My husband, who wasn't thrilled with my restaurant selection, was pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed the Grilled Jerk Chicken tacos he ordered. I don't normally like green salsa, but the type that automatically came with the tacos (with corn chips) was smoky instead of tart and I loved it.
There was no more social distancing or masks required and the tiny dining area was full up. But we are vaccinated and didn't mind it. I would however suggest they bring napkins and utensils to the table when they drop off your food (or tell you where they are and to grab them while you're at the counter), because we and other patrons all had to get up and get them ourselves after the food was delivered, and they are tucked away in a corner and hard to access if there are people in line to order.
Lastly, having a menu option to mix and match the two tacos would be awesome, because I would have loved to have had both a Thai veggie taco and also tried the Falafel one. But you have to order two of the same flavor.

During our White Water Rafting I asked the guide good places to eat and he mentioned “Slope & Hatch”. I decided to give it a try. When we first walked past there was a line out of the door (it’s not a big place. Maybe seats 20, but there is a picnic table outside too). We decided to walk around the block and look for other places to eat. That adventure proved to be fruitless and we found ourselves outside of Slope & Hatch again. The line had dwindled so we jumped in and actually grabbed a table just as someone got up and left. I went with the Jerk Tacos which are an order of two with chips and green salsa. These tacos were the beat I have ever eaten. The tortilla was soft. The chicken was tender. The slaw was crunchy. The flavors were incredible. Do yourself a favor and stop in when your in the area.

So glad we found them on TA- some of THE best food we have had so far in Colorado. Ate here after hiking in Aspen - everything was delicious - so fresh, great flavor and unique tacos. We all loved it!! Al Pastor, jerk chicken and fried shrimp Po boy were what we ate. Yum!!
Try the Cajun fries too. ❤️

We went here for lunch one day and ordered way too much food, lol! We assumed the tacos were street taco size, so we ordered 2 orders of them (each order had two, plus chips and salsa) and a hot dog). Well, the tacos are large, and the hot dog was a foot long! The calamari tacos were fantastic, highly recommended! We also had the Cuban pork ones, which were also good. The hot dog was just ok. The salsa served with their chips was also fantastic! This will be our go to place when we go to Glenwood from now on!

The food and drinks here are SOOO GOOD! There are several other places we go to on every trip to Glenwood Springs - Smoke, the Nepal restaurant south of town on the way to Carbondale and Aspen, the Riviera, the Charburger place on route 6, even the Canyon Crepes place. But Slope & Hatch is a DAILY requirement whenever we visit from Denver. I would go to Glenwood Springs just for Slope & Hatch, but it also happens to have a hot springs pool large enough for me to both exercise and relax in, and other restaurants to alternate our other meal of the day with. But this is a lick your plate clean kind of good not to be skipped anytime in Glenwood Springs or just passing by on i70.

Hubby and I stopped by Slope & Hatch around 4 p.m. and due to covid restrictions, could not dine inside - all orders were to-go only. We decided what we wanted from the menu in the window and then one person went in and ordered. They brought our order outside and we sat at the little 3 table park next door. The food was SO good. We ordered the cajun dusted fries (EXCELLENT!) and the jerk chicken tacos. SO good. Staff was very friendly and accommodating while also maintaining distance and covid restrictions. Would highly recommend!

So...the new owner could not leave things alone. This was are favorite local place to eat. We got home, opened the to go box of Cantina fish tacos and they were pathetic. They were much smaller than usual - one tiny piece of fish, a little cabbage thrown on top. COME ON!!! Raise the price if you have to instead of cut the quality and size.

The shrimp tacos was pretty good and serving size was also good amount for 2 tacos. They filled them pretty well. It was more of a modern taco spot and also other hotdog choices. We decided to try something different and was not disappointed.
