About
AronHill Vineyards resides atop a steep limestone overlook just west of Paso Robles. Here, Judy Aron cultivates eight acres of dry-farmed Primitivo and Cabernet Sauvignon, producing small-lot wines of natural purity and structure. Here, you can experience our award-winning, dry-farmed estate wines while enjoying our hilltop vineyard views—often including eye-level sightings of our resident hawks hovering beyond the picture window. We consider the tasting room to be an extension of our home, and on any given day you might find us pouring your wine. While you are here, we invite you to join us for a bite at our adjoining AronHill Bistro.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I have long wanted to come to AronHill to try their wine and food. No disappointment here! All of the wines were delightful and the food was amazing! We split a ceaser salad that presented as a full romaine with all of the fixings on and around. We also ordered a chicken Milanese and the kickass angus burger. Both were delicious, but I have to say the burger was fantastic. The accompanying fries were to die-for. This is a worthy stop for anyone looking for delicious wine and food in Paso Robles.

Small excellent family, woman founded winery. And as we know women generally have a better nose than men. Do not forget to great the sweet cat, Max! Do a tasting with food to. Make sure you rins your glass with some water between the different wines, because you only get one glass.

This spot is our favorite for a nice casual lunch. Sitting outdoors overlooking the vineyard or inside seating is available. Kathryn and her staff are superb and food is delicious! If you’re lucky enough to meet Ms. Gayle, you’re in for a treat! We had the mushroom appetizer, chicken Milanese and the chicken salad sandwich and pared it with a delicious bottle of the Prim Rose wine. Just wonderful! But save room for the pot de crème!

We stopped for lunch when we saw a sign that the bistro was open. After we ordered our food they said they do a wine tasting while we wait for the food to be prepared. It sounded like it was a complimentary tasting to fill the time while we waited for our meal. Instead they later inform you that you owe money for lunch and the tastings they poured. Food was good but wouldn’t go back.

Another wonderful reason to go wine tasting in Paso Robles.! The worst wine is fine and the best are stellar. I much prefer reds to white but their Rose will knock your sock off and pairs beautifully with a lot of food!

We had never heard of this place, but wanted to try something new. Boy, are we glad we chose to stop here! First of all this place is entirely woman owned and woman run. The winemaker is female and her daughter runs the tasting room. We had Gale pouring the wine and explaining all the nuances and choices, and she was just delightful! We ordered the baked brie since it was lunchtime, and it was the perfect complement to the wine tasting. Their wines are pretty tasty! I especially loved their Chardonnay and the Primrose, which is a Sangiovese Rose' and has beautiful color. Their second label is KickAss, which was also delicious. My sister liked the wines so much, she joined their club! We can't wait to go back to visit Paso so we can stop here again! Next time we'll be able to enjoy member benefits! Highly recommend!!!

We had a wonderful wine tasting experience at AronHill. Sophia assisted us and was not only incredibly informative but also warm and welcoming, making our visit even more enjoyable. The wine was excellent, and her knowledge added a deeper appreciation to each pour. We’ll definitely be back!

This was our second time visiting and we’ll definitely return again. I recommend sitting on the patio so you can take in the beautiful views. Since it was a bit chilly, we decided to sit inside at a cozy table for two. They have a friendly wine cat named Max who quickly jumped on my wife’s lap for a nap. I have heard that lunch is fantastic here, we’ll have to try it next visit. We were treated like family and felt as if we were visiting someone’s home. We ended up purchasing two of our favorite wines. Give it a try!

Granted the outstanding bucolic view from that sunny deck perfectly cooled by a delicious fall breeze is in itself inebriating -so excuse my gushing. But now add to that the exceptionally nuanced wine tasting and, wow, that delectable bistro menu! Well, this place is a well deserved treat supported by the delightful team that makes it happen! Cheers!

I was excited to go here for a nice date and celebration and it definitely was beautiful. We had a great spot overlooking the vineyard to have lunch and a glass of wine. Our waitress was nice but stayed a little too long. Both my husband and I really felt their quote that’s on their tee shirt was in such bad taste and very crude. They said it to every table and it really put us off. Their wine was good and our lunch was good, but very, very expensive. I would not go again just because of their slogan alone-not in good taste at all.

Lunch was excellent. I share the Kickass burger and special quinoa salad with a friend. The wines are reasonably priced and delicious. I’ve never had a primitivo rose. It is a fun wine with a little white pepper which is unexpected but very good in a rose. I definitely will be back!!

We stopped at this winery while in the area. Wines were awesome and the food and service was excellent. Lovely experience and highly recommend. Friendly resident cat also fun. If you are in the area make sure to stop here. And if Sophia is serving wine you will be in for a great time.

This place has better food and wine than some old reviews indicate. Granted, the focus is on wine, as it should be at a winery, but the food exceeded our expectations. They have fresh ingredients and vegan-friendly options. The wines themselves currently include two prize-winners. We ended up joining the wine club based on the wine tasting. The outdoor seating and views were also very pleasant. Staff were friendly and welcoming.
