Chimay Cinq Cents
Rich, spicy blonde Tripel (also known as Chimay White), dry herbaceous finish. Brewed on the grounds of a Trappist Monastary (in the Ardennes Mtns). The hoppiest of their three offerings. Since 1970, Dupont has brewed a special beer to give as a New Year's present to their best clients. Crafted on a dry-hopped base, coppery blond, very fine hop aromas & tastes bitter, lots of dried fruit & mild. Medium to full body. Hops & bit of citrus in the finish. Great balance. Arguably the best Holiday Ale made in Belgium. 9, 5% abv.

There are restaurants everywhere in Solvang, but this place definitely does have amazing sweet pastry and breakfast options. The interior is dated, but very quaint and in tune with the general Solvang Danish atmosphere. The servers are dressed in Danish style costume and were extremely...More

Tried this place based on the reviews. They had an extensive menu. Breakfast was ok. Very basic. I think folks who have rated this "fantastic" have never had a breakfast in a NJ diner. Thought the pancakes and crepes in Solvang would be over the...More

Great breakfast but we couldn't order the Belgian waffle because they don't have REAL butter! We would have paid extra for it and also for the REAL maple syrup that goes with it! The coffee was weak, also.

We had a great meal at the Belgian Café! We had to wait a little for our table (many places similar to this had really long waits - it was a Sunday morning though!) but this didn't bother us. We were seated outside which was...More

I'm usually an upbeat person, however after waiting over 90 minutes for a table Sunday, I have plenty to complain about. After waiting 30 minutes a party of 29 requested to be seated. The restaurant started saving open tables to accommodate this group without seating...More

This cafe was very busy when we arrived, however we only waited around 15mins for a table. Staff were knowledgeable about the food and ingredients; they were able to help me select gluten free options.

Breakfast is THE meal there. The waffles are an absolute MUST. Combine one with a Danish sausage and you've got the best breakfast in town, IMHO.
