Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

C&O has gone downhill of late. The “killer” garlic rolls are no longer killer. We ordered chicken breast and they were very dry and lacking in flavor. I asked for some garlic rolls to take home with our leftovers and the owner/manager said that they...usually do not do that; I thought that was a rude answer given that my party’s bill was over $700. On the positive side, the bartender topped off our drinks for free before we headed over to the dining room.More

I had the razz pack to drink and the fettuccine alfredo for dinner. For a busy Saturday night the food came out in a reasonable amount of time and the drink was refreshing. The service was good, and this remains my favorite restaurant in Marina...del Rey.More

Had a lovely early, mid-week dinner with my husband. Excellent service from Tito. He knew the menu extremely well and was really great about my order (salmon only in the cioppino). He brought my husband a nice bowl of chopped garlic and he was very...happy. We devoured the stuffed mushrooms. I enjoyed the cioppino, my husband the rosemary chicken, and we brought home leftovers. He was also happy that they offered an alcohol-free beer (Heineken 0) and I was pleased with the Dirty Blue Eyes martini. Manager was also terrific--came by to make sure all is good.More

We ate here at the recommendation of the Kinney Hotel, a short easy walk to the restaurant. we didn’t book but the restaurant was busy, we were seated in the outside bit under cover with heaters. We were served straight away by Jesus, a prompt...and friendly server. The garlic dough balls we are incredible! We enjoyed linguine and 4 cheese ravioli (appeatiser size was sufficient!) we also had tiramisu which was incredible. we would highly recommend this place and would go back if we were visiting !More

Dined here as a party of 6 and chose a table in what is ostensibly the inside section but is still pretty airy. It was a chilly night but there are heaters toasting your back even in this area, which some of our party actually...found made it too hot. However, onto the important stuff. This is a busy area and a bustling street. The restaurant has a parking lot but to use it, and you will probably need to if you are driving here, will cost you $8 for the compulsory valet service. Not too expensive and efficiently done although I always feel a tinge of resentment about the compulsory nature of such services, but still, no big deal. We had a reservation and I suggest you do as well, it is busy. At least it was this Friday evening and I suspect is usually so. However the service was efficient and friendly and we didn't have to wait. Our server, Ian, was extremely helpful and affable which always helps matters. Others have mentioned the frequently replenished garlic bread, hot from the oven, which drew rave reviews from the table. We were warned that people tend to consume many of these to the possible detriment of their appetite for the rest of the meal; advice that was roundly ignored by my party as we went through at least a couple of platefuls. Fairly traditional italian but a varied and fairly large menu. You can stick to the old favorites if you like, or branch out and we all chose something different and everyone thoroughly enjoyed said choices. I had a 4 cheese ravioli in a peso sauce with sun dried tomatoes that I very much enjoyed, although I confess to feeling a pang of disappointment that I hadn't picked the gnocchi with ragu that my neighbor chose which looked delicious indeed. Service was pretty speedy, which made me wonder whether they wanted to hustle us off the table, but I don't actually think that was the case. The owner checked with us regarding our enjoyment of the meal and we had a fun, albeit short discussion with him before making use of the aforementioned valet service. All in all a loverly meal, convivial atmosphere which is typical of Italian restaurants of course but not too loud to limit conversation. Pricey? We paid $250 including tip and some alcohol which for a party of 6 in LA didn't strike me as too bad at all. I would definitely enjoy eating here againMore

We visited this restaurant two nights ago and we are still very happy that we did. We were there based on a recommendation from our daughter who was with us. Mark was our server and he was absolutely a great representative for this establishment and...he provided super service and matter of fact recommendations for deciding what to have for dinner. The restaurant provides these very addictive dinner rolls before the main meal comes out. Go easy on these because you could eat too many. We all ordered something different so as to sample the many offerings. Everything was great and the atmosphere was lively. Great place to take family. Very Italian like. Please enjoy.More

We visited this restaurant the first night of our ten night stay in LA purely because it was the nearest to our hotel and wanted something within easy reach: this was a brilliant find. Had the meat balls and spaghetti and while waiting our order...were ably provided with the most tasty endless supply of dough balls. Food and service couldn't be faulted - so much so that we returned next night to carb load for the following days triathlon event!More

I am so disappointed in C&O. We ordered to go for Valentine's Day and things were left out of the order, the food was cold (we live minutes away) and the steak was not even close to rare. The food was sub par and I...have been before and enjoyed it. Even the rolls, which I love, were hard and clearly made earlier. All of the food seems to have been prepared earlier and just heated up, or not, and sent out. Our night was ruined. Food in the trash.More

Went here for family wedding dinner--a challenge for any resto, esp smaller one like this--everything, food service and price all were very good, with any requests met easily and quickly and 30+ diners all quite happy. Highly recommend for family outing. Outdoor dining quite pretty...too.More

Italian spot with huge portions and a Rat Pack theme. Came here on a Thursday around 7:30pm and there were plenty of tables available. Limited street parking in the front as well as residential parking around the corner. There’s valet available too. Credit cards are...accepted. It’s a good spot for a date as well as a big group. They do have vegetarian options available. You have the option to make your plates “gargantuan” for an additional cost, and you could have your meals set for the week. The servers come around frequently with fresh garlic knots, which are insanely delicious. You could easily get full off of four or five of those things. I got the rosemary chicken ravioli, which was a huge portion and had a good amount of herbs in the sauce. They provide a small bowl of cheese on the side for you to distribute yourself.More
