We enjoyed an excellent cooked breakfast here before taking to the hills. Really good portions and excellent quality sausages and bacon. The well-stocked children’s toy box was a bonus!

We came here after a walk to Greenside mine. We had a sandwich (which was a great) followed by a cream tea (pretty large scone, but very tasty!!) We probably could / should have shared!! Friendly staff. Would recommend.

We popped in here on a cold and wet day and it was perfect! The whole place is well thought out with little extras which make it a cut above the rest. Some ‘dog friendly’ cafes mean please only sit outside! However, this little gem...More

Helvellyn Kitchen is immaculate. When you walk in you sense the pride they have in their business. The breakfasts are very good and the bread is all made in the premises. Best breakfast I’ve ever had.

The menu can be adapted towards any diet requirements. I would suggest calling them in advance. Food is very good value and the homemade bread is delicious. The tea is very weak though.
