Honest and real review is what shall follow.
Although it was not open for a few days as per their signs, when they did open we treated ourselves to some gourmet waffles for lunch while on honeymoon. Incredibly clean inside, though outside in the kiddies play area (Which is closed due to coviid) we saw a high chair with some old waffles bit and toppings on it. However, this did not deter us from enjoying some sugar packed and deliciously sweet waffles. My wife had a Nutella and Brownie half and half combo and I had a Honeycomb crunch. I could not finish my large portion served with amazing chocolate ice cream but I did smash it when I got back to my room for midnight snacks!
The service was a bit slow in terms of getting drinks and food but in fairness, there was only one chef and one server and I think they did really well in terms of managing everyone's expectations. I only wish there was a branch in JHB so my wife would stop reminiscing on the pleasure she experience when devouring, in one sitting I might add, her wonderful waffles!

It is hard to pick a waffle as there are so many great options on the menu! I ended up getting the Crunchy honeycomb and was not disappointed at all. It was so good, very tasty, and fresh! The staff were amazing, very friendly, and attentive. The setting is ideal on the harbor quay. Worth a visit!

If you are sweet teeth and in Simons town, have a try at I love Waffles.
Nice and tasty waffles, with various toppings.
The stoep is the best place to sit on a sunny day.
Ice teas are very good as well, with a multitude of different flavors...

Didn’t measure up to their fancy marketing, unfortunately. Service was hurried and unfriendly, but most disappointing was the poor waffle quality - so dense and dry, almost like something left over from last week. The condiments on top were reasonable, but you go to a waffle establishment for waffles ! The owners or management need to realise this.

Wow, what a wonderful find! They have such a large collection of waffles, it was difficult to choose. The ones we ended up having were fantastic. Great value and so tasty!! Will definitely be back to indulge some more. Also try their homemade ice tea, super refreshing and delicious!

The staff was very friendly, helpful towards my dog and I. What beautiful atmosphere, view and delicious food. Even my dog agreed. Especially when the server brought him a special water bowl to refresh him.

We had the original Belgium Waffle with vanilla ice cream. And the best cappuccino ever. Was good. Bit pricey at R62-00 for basic waffle

Lovely spot to warm up after a walk around Simonstown on a chilly, winter day. Good choice of food but we stuck to waffles and ice cream.
Our granddaughters had the kid's portion which was the perfect size.

This cafe is located in the heart of Simons Town. It’s in a quaint area and has a few touristy shops next door.
Our waitress was friendly and efficient.
The food, however, was not great. We all had waffles and each choose different toppings. I found the flavor of the chocolate to be quite horrible and synthetic. I also think that the toppings are just too much that it makes the whole meal off putting. This is just my opinion, perhaps we should have ordered super plain ones and we would not have been so disappointed.
I will not return as there are similar places serving better quality food.

The waffles can be good if they are fresh .Have experienced waffles here that were clearly not made fresh on one of our visits here .Do not expect other food offerings besides waffles .Coffee is good

At I love Waffles there is something sweet for every taste, and you are spoiled for choice. Your most difficult decision will most definitely be which waffle to choose, and ours was yummy.

Had a lovely lunch at I love Waffles! Waffles were delicious! They are dog friendly and brought our dog some water and even gave him lots of cuddles. Would definitely recommend!

who can resist waffles with a decadent topping and who can even walk by the aroma pulls you to the chair and you sit and stare and order and feast on ice cream and tasty and light waffles
