Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great option for an Easter Sunday. C@G Big Breakie had all the big tickets items, hearty and filling. Wifes Avocado on toast with side of chirizo (2 sausages very substantial side) meant we could share her side (so I got 2 sausages hahaha). Great coffee....Loved the ambiance, clean and great service. The young girl cleared the table next to us and was on her knees with a brush and shovel for crumbs, thats detail!!. The price seemed at the high end, but overall good value for money. Solid.More

Gone way downhill since it opened years ago. Came here yesterday for breakfast. FOH last friendly but after a while I noticed that no one had food on the table. Our coffees took 30 mins to arrive (they weren’t busy). One person that I thought...was a customer studying (had papers and books laid out on the table) suddenly sprung into life when the phone rang and started taking orders. We asked her where our coffees were since it had been 30 mins and was immediately told a lie of “oh the barista is new” (The barista wasn’t new as we’d seen her a few months earlier). Then she tidied her things off the table and didn’t even wipe it down before seating customers there. The food was average. Ordered poached eggs and they were way over. This cafe used to pride / advertise themselves on 63 degree eggs. Sadly not anymore. Won’t be coming back and won’t be recommending.More

Disappointing end to our visit. Hospitality very much lacking. Not made to feel welcome at all, and effectively asked to leave. I had booked for ten am this morning. We had arranged to catch up with friends here. We all enjoyed our food, but at...1050 while we were still chatting and our friends were still drinking their tea, we were told our table was needed in ten minutes. We were all shocked as there were plenty of empty tables around us. Would not return due to this rudeness.More

Booked for a family lunch in the weekend. Half our family group (including an 80+ yr old) got there first only to be told we had no booking. They weren't offered the large unreserved table right by the door, just told no such booking. I...turned up just as they had walked out and showed the grumpy woman on FOH that we did indeed have a reservation as they had sent me a confirmation email..we then got offered said available table. Food was fine Except for the WOAP burger, greasy meat and completely solid "deep fried cheese" - barely warm let Alone melted. When we questioned if it was supposed to be melted they said yes and they'd let the chef know. We've eaten here quite a few times and while the food is usually ok-good. We won't be back. Up your game. The customers are who pay your wages. Totally bizarre to not offer an empty table and then be surly and rude.More

We had three meals. Two of them were tiny, not filling at all and very expensive. The waffles were a bigger portion which was nice. Around us there were people with nicely decorated plates so I understand thats what the hype is about. The food...itself was quite poor. The fries were almost cold and the staff forgot to bring our meals at first too. Also the vibe in the restaurant is very cold. Everything is white and there is nothing on the walls, no interesting tables etc. The only cool thing is the counter, which is actually really cool. The staff wasn't nice at all. They didn't look like they want to work and weren't very helpful. On another day one of them also told me it was a perfect place for working people. I also saw a lot of people with laptops in there. So I came back to work and the girl told me there was no WiFi. I asked her twice but she was very annoyed with me. It seems weird to me that there isn't any WiFi in a working place.More

Best little culinary goldmine in Jackson Street. If all the Cafes in Perone combined, they still would not be able to match such deliciously tasty and wonderfully presented food. High quality menu makes for an exceptional dining experience.

Arrived at C&G on time & we had booked however our table wasn’t ready so asked to wait which was fine. There was still people (7) at the table with all the dishes, staff asked them for the table & we eventually sat down 5-10mins...late BUT to then be told we only had 1 hour (less now seen the table wasn’t ready). We made the booking in advance and WERE’NT told it was only going to be an hour. Felt like we had to order and eat in a hurry which we then got a 10min warning. The atmosphere wasn’t nice & relaxing for a brunch, loud, banging & staff running/stomping around. Real shame, food was great.More

We booked for 8 people in advance to remember the anniversary of a loved family member passing. We arrived and ate and had nice drinks and food. However about 11.45 we were some what clumsily told that we had a few Minutes left to finish...and leave. We found out after questioning our booking and elderly family members hurried off that there was no booking following us that they had just got busy and wanted us to leave so they could use the table. As we were leaving the place was half empty. I was extremely disappointed to be asked to have the table back as we booked and had only been there long enough to eat. Pretty disgusting behaviour, showing they clearly value money over customer satisfaction. We certainly will not be back.More

We discovered Comes & Goes four or so years ago. It was a modern, Asian-fusion style brunch spot, innovative and always busy no matter the time of day. We hadn’t been in a few years and unfortunately it seems to have had a change of...ownership. It no longer has the ‘spark’ that we enjoyed on our early visits. There is still a decent range on the menu and the food is presented well, but the ambiance and level of service is lacking. The coffee was reportedly still nice and we were all satisfied on the whole with our meals (tomato relish and hash browns on the eggs benedict were too much though - couldn’t taste the subtle flavour of the hollandaise). I guess every cafe goes through its prime time and it is often at the end of this that they change hands. Hopefully it will one day regain its former flare.More

Was recommend this place but found it really average. The service wasn’t great - we were left wondering if our order was ever going to be taken and it wasn’t busy. The food was disappointing- cold and the poached eggs not cooked - when I...cut into it I got an avalanche of yolk and clear uncooked egg white.More

The main meals were stunning with great presentation. We own...a catering company and we are taking our Head Chef there this weekend so we were blown awayMore
