A quaint Cafe during the day and a fine Dining at Night, where Italy meets the magic of the South Pacific. Stop in for an espresso and stay for a diverse menu featuring fresh fish, pasta, Tongan infused cuisine and more! Wi-Fi access during the day from 8am to 5pm, as well as a beautiful view of the Port of Refuge. (NO WiFi during our dinner hours from 5pm on-wards) We have an excellent beer and wine selection. We are located in the center of Guttenbeil Plaza and within walking distance to many local attractions. Stop in for the View and stay for the unique Dining experience!

After a long sailing voyage from Nuku’a lofa it was a delight to discover the Bella Vista. The sunset view was amazing.
In total, a very pleasant experience. The menu contains a broad selection of Italian dishes and other specialties. The service was impeccable. The owner/manager and her staff were highly responsive to our needs. 👏staff!

This is the only place you want to have any meal in Neiafu - and trust me, having gone there for years, I've tried every single past and present eatery in town!
Sourcing fresh produce in Vava'u is a huge challenge, but these folks have it down to a science, serving a combination of traditional Italian dishes all the way to classic thin crust pizzas along with stunning fresh caught seasonal seafood.
The food is delicious; the service always timely, precise and friendly; the vistas over the harbor spectacular; and above all (!) the kitchen and premises are immaculately clean. Hell, even the patrons are always happy and well-behaved which is most certainly not a given elsewhere!
Complimenti e grazie to Milo and Mario for having created this culinary pearl.
Needless to say that I'll be back this year!

Beautiful views out over the harbour and lovely service. We had a sandwich and a tomato chilli pasta, which (although very tasty) I had hoped would be vegan but it came out with Parmesan on top. Didn’t appear to be many vegan options but I’m sure you could ask for the pasta to come without Parmesan and it’d be lovely.

Bella Vista has stunning views over the harbour in Vava'u.
Milo and staff are always very friendly and welcoming, food is of very high standard and always fresh.
The premises are very clean and organized. Highly recommend Bella Vista for a casual lunch or dinner or to entertain business clients.
Bella Vista is our go to place.
And they do great coffee.

Best coffee especially as the Australians said in the last review if you're a coffee snob. Love the iced Latte. Best meal so far is the sashimi tuna but all other meals were very good. Our got to for morning coffee and or lunch/bruch:)) Excellent friendly service:))

Visited island to swim with whales in October of 2019. Some of the best Italian food I have eaten. On island for 8 days .... dined here for dinner 5 times. Great service. Great prices. Great good. Great views.

It brought to our attention that you've been visiting Vavaú 2019, and loved our food and service. We appreciate the comments and take time to review us. This year is very different with the pandemic with no tourists, as we cope with whatever comes our way. Luckily for the whales, they are here playing freely with no tourists to swim with , but bad for us.(business wise)
Hope this pandemic will ease off so we will back to normal life.

The fact this restaurant gets such high reviews says something about this unremarkable town. The restaurant has decent views and coffee but isn't anything special. We had a club sandwich and a coffee each. Mind you, having eaten at almost all the restaurants in town I can see why this is the highest rated, the others are even less special.
Had to laugh at the $5 fee for attempting to charge a phone (singular) from one of their power sockets. No, I am not joking.

Thankyou for the words, I appreciate you having the time to leave a such mixed emotion review. As you may have known ( before you started to travel) that we are an Island limited to many resources, so I really don't know what you were actually looking for to be amazed by. Well for the $5 fee it is not just phone, for most people tend to charge all their electronic devices for hours and the power is not gonna pay itself, we provide a service that is available but not to take advantage of.

Enjoyed a pleasant visit here on a hot day, where the beer was cold, food tasty and service attentive. The wifi costs a small amount and downloads incredibly slowly, so maybe don't bother if that's what you're there for, but otherwise it's nice!

Thank you for your review and your kind words, about the Wifi, sadly but its out of our control........that is why we give away the first 30 minutes for free, after that its up to the customer to continue and pay as little as 7cents a min.
Always remember we are in an Island and things not always works like in the big city.

We were stranded in Neiafu for a day (thanks Real Tonga Airlines) and the staff at Bellavista kindly let us leave our bags in the restaurant for 8 hours while we explored the town which we are super grateful for. We had coffee, breakfast and lunch there and all the food was great. They have wifi which you can use for 30 minutes for free and then purchase additional time. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor (though sheltered) seating with nice views of the bay and passing birds. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.

This place has to be one of the best to eat at in Neiufu. The staff are so friendly, the food is delicious and the setting overlooking the harbour... stunning!!
