We had heard from friends who like nearby about The Seafood Shack in Ullapool. What an amazing hidden gem! We had to queue (always a good sign), although the wait was 30 minutes+ the time went quickly and it was definitely worth the wait! We...had the Cullen Skink (divine), followed by the haddock tempura wrap, and some Langoustines. There was a pop-up Gin Bar, (went perfectly with the fish!). Everything was cooked to perfection, you did not have to use the condiments available as food was exquisite. Although extremely busy, there was a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, not only the Shack team but diners too. This is an outside establishment that (we think) closes from the end of October until March. Definitely a place to remember and visit when in the area. There is a cookbook that can be purchased (just for the Cullen Skink alone), we are looking forward to recreating if we can some of the dishes we enjoyed here. Thank you for making our visit such a memorable one!More

Well worth the drive. We were staying in Inverness on holiday and had seen this little place online. Decided to drive up and give it a go. We had haddock wrap and languoistines in garlic butter. OMG absolutely amazing. Best haddock i have ever had....The tempura batter was to die for and the langoustines were enormous. Cooked quickly served red hot. Just gorgeousMore

Great fresh food cooked to order, on the expensive side but worth it in my opinion. Was very busy when I visited with nowhere to sit, but there are some benches a few minutes away overlooking the loch and campsite. Menu varies, we had fried...haddock wraps, langoustine and oysters. Perfect.More

This was absolutely excellent. Firstly you have to be aware that there is no indoor seating at this venue.n there is a covered area but it is outside seating, and a good few tables offer no shelter from the rain. We arrived just before 1200...and there was already a big queue. It took us about 20 minutes to reach the front and another 10 to get our food but it was well worth the wait. Freshly cooked fish right in front of you. There was 4 of us and we had a great selection of what was on offer. The signature haddock rap was fantastic and the spicy fish soup was just the right side of spicy for me. Crab claws also received a big thumbs up. Only down side was that we had a 4 year old and there was nothing for him, but we found he did like crab claws, both to eat and to play with. Best food I’ve had out for a long timeMore

We enjoyed our food here so much we went back again the next day. Fresh langoustines and oysters, a very tasty haddock wrap and all washed down with a delicious seafood soup. This place definitely lived up to expectations, thank you!

Was so fortunate to eat at The Seafood Shack. Going here to eat was on my bucket list and we were not disappointed. The langouistines were incredibly fresh, meaty and tasty. Spicy fish soup was wonderfully tasty, with plenty of fish. The haddock wrap was...delicious. Highly recommended. Open 12-4pm.More

Loved the Seafood shack (and gin cabin next door!). Beautifully fresh haddock and trout, presented simply but with bags of flavour. Friendly and efficient staff. Great place for lunch!

Overrated and expensive. Average seafood at inflated prices. Much better alternatives. Not worth the queues, and unsure why people have rated so highly.

My partner had a smoked trout salad so yes, I would suggest they do. Their site says they do their best to suit dairy free and gluten free.
