Authentic village taverna with great Cretan food. Had a few starters which we hadn’t found elsewhere. The grilled meat is also plentiful and cooked to perfection. Well worth the trip up the winding hill!

We went to "Good Heart ∼" during the last days of September, while we were on vacation in Eastern Mana. The taste experience was excellent, because we prefer the restaurants where locals eat rather than the tourist "traps". Location is quiet and tavern is spacious. Food was tasty and quality above average. Food portions were "enormous" and nobody could just finish meals; perhaps we had too many starters that were enormous-sized as well..... However, when we asked for the bill, the owner denied payment with credit cards. With a smile but he denied. At this point, when we were trying to find if our cash could suffice to pay bill, the good impressions were all gone for good..... Great atmosphere! Amazing food and rich portions at very reasonable prices. The decoration of the shop as well as the music that was playing was reminiscent of an Italian or French Bistro. Once again in the area and decided to visit this outstanding Greek tavern. Very tasty Greek cuisine. Nice to dinner at the back yard. Reasonable prices, great food. Since 2020 you need to take a short deviation out of the main road to find this hidden gem but you will be rewarded. There is no traffic, or parking issues anymore. Very cool and quiet. It worths visiting 100%. Steadily ranking at the top choices in the area.

Well after spending 10 days in Mani, it is the best taverna ever!!! Excellent food and service. Everything was super fresh. I loved their local sausage. It was a delight. My wife being vegetarian she found multiple choices! A must!!! And while eating save some space for the bougatsa. Order it while eating as they do it on the spot!!!
