Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This venue was closed and has been for a very long time. I spoke to a gentleman who said he was the owner but he informed me it wouldn't be re-opening until at least the end of April.

Located right beside Coconuts Beach Resort, Lupe's offers really delicious meals at a markedly lower price than the Resort. The fish curry was made with the freshest of seafood and was very mild. Drinks (beers and chardy for us) were icy cold and inexpensive also....If you'replanning a holiday at Sinalei or Coconuts Beach Resorts, spend some time and money at this little gem. Nothing to look at, but with a real Samoan feel to it. I don't think you'll be disappointed.More

We were staying at Coconuts next door and chose to eat most of our lunches and every dinner at Lupe's. The food was tasty and so much cheaper than the resort, as were the drinks. The Lupe's cocktail was delicious. Staff were friendly and we...have no hesitation recommending other to try Lupe's if they want delicious food at much cheaper prices than the resorts.More

We ate here the last 2 times we have visited Samoa. The food is basic, but a good option to step outside your resort and have some lower cost food and drinks.

The first time I came to Lupe's was 3 years ago. I'd just come from a resort and taking a friend's advice we stopped here for lunch. Now, it's a small family run business and at first I was a little underwhelmed by the look...of the place. It felt and looked a little basic, and I wasn't sure if our meal would be any good. I should never have worried. The palusami was some of the best I've eaten. The oka fresh and satisfying, and the taro was delicious. I go back to Samoa once a year now, and Lupe's for lunch is one of my favourites. The family is warm and friendly, their beach is small but peaceful (whenever I've visited) and they go out of their way to make you feel welcome. If you're looking for something a little off the beaten track with exceptional food. This is a must. I'll never leave Samoa without a lunch at Lupe's.More

Lupe's is right next door to Coconuts Beach Club, where we were staying, so we decided to try it one evening as a change from the hotel restaurant. The dishes on the menu are all pretty much what you would expect in Samoa, and at...a very reasonable price (as were the drinks). Apart from the hotel manager from Coconuts and her family, we were the only people in the place the evening we went. The food came out pretty quickly, and was very tasty. Very glad we went.More

Nice place. We managed to get a deal to pith up our tent for 45 tala/night. Location is great, especially if you're into surfing (Neil next door does surf boat tours, such as Nagg at Vailua some 20km down the road). The reef isn't good...for snorkelling (nothing to see really), but the paradise views are amazing. A down was that I had to pay 5 Tala to chrage my phone :/More

We had a couple of meals here as we were staying just next door at Coconuts. We thought the fresh grilled fish, Oka and Palusami was some of the best food we had in Samoa! Also good burgers and cold beer, friendly service and an...awesome view - what more could you want!! Only marked down because the curry was weird, maybe it is not their specialty.More

We stayed at Lupe’s for 1 week and will definitely be going back during our next trip to Samoa. The accommodation that we stayed in was the tradition Fale without air con, it had a toilet, double bed and a single, fan and also plenty...of room for luggage. The shower was an outdoor one just behind the Fales. It is definitely value for money. Lemme told us about all the great spots we should visit...the ones that you can’t find on the internet... so we were able to see what the island had to offer. You cannot get a better spot that Lupe’s. My Husband is a surfer and he was able to paddle out to coconuts (it was a struggle on the way in after a 2hrs surf) or he could go next door to coconuts and get on the boat with Neil. While he was surfing I was content with my view from our deck, about 10 steps away from the ocean. The location really doesn’t get any better. We ate dinner most nights and at Lupes and Lemma cooks a delicious curry dish. This is a local family run business and when we stayed here we felt apart of their little Samoan Family. Thank you for your hospitality Lemma, Sala and of course little George. Hopefully we will see you again in two years.More

Thanks so much for having us. We had the most amazing couple of days. The owners were super helpful with everything and we loved the little aircon house right by the beach. The food, especially the fish for dinner and the pancakes for breakfast was...spectacular. Can only recommend.More

Stopped here for dinner once. Very simple setting but the food was yami and very reasonably priced compared to other resorts. Cheap beer too. Friendly and relaxed. Highly recommend

We were staying next door at Coconuts Resort and wanted to find something a little more reasonably priced. We ate lunch here twice and can recommend the fish curry (with big chunks of fish and veggies), fish stir fry & the fried chicken and chips...(all priced around 20-25 tala). The fish burgers were just average though. The service was friendly and it's set just back from the beach. It also serves reasonably priced cocktails and beer.More

We were staying at a resort hotel and fancied something more back to basics and homely. Lupe’s was the natural choice. We were not disappointed, the food is good honest home cooking, nothing fancy but fresh and tasty at a sensible price. This is the...place to go, relax by the beach have a few beers and something to eat.More
