Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very nice old place, since 1890, excellent service. Food abundant, very rich, and at a good price. The dish of the day was pork ribs with salsa al verdeo with potato chips or pure, we ordered pork ribs with plums and pure apples and dessert burgundy pears, delicious

A Bahian classic. Originally German food, but it offers excellent varied options of loins, pastas and minutes. It is worth knowing it and tasting its sausages and sauerkraut. The waiters are first class, in the traditional style, helpful, cordial and friendly.

We order the standard argentinean beef, chorizo, and wasn’t ok, hard and quite dry. The ambiance looks quite wear out, could be a good work on keeping look better worth. Service was nice.

Best restaurant in Bahia Blanca. Located in downtown, classic style with nice old fashioned pictures and advertisements. Great and big dishes. Friendly service

Had lunch following waiter’s recommendations and got some great meat and salad. My company ordered pasta and we agreed that meat was a better choice. All in all a very pleasant experience.

Gambrinus is an staple in the city and has been there a looong time. It is the best place to have "par con papas" (2 german sausages and potato salad); but the menu is extensive and everything is good. Service is done by processional waiters that are part of the place. If you visit Bahia Blanca, try not to miss it!

I go to Bahía Blanca I eat dinner in this restaurant.- The atmosphere and the classic dishes are of German cuisine, but it has an extensive international menu. Excellent service and careful cooking. is one of the few places that over the years has not lost its quality.- The prices are according to the place.

We are German but were not hungry enough to try the German fare. Just had a lunch sandwich and a beer, which was fine. Nothing spectacular though.

This is an old traditional restaurant in the city. I've eaten here twice when visiting. I wasn't impressed the first time and yesterday was no different. I was with three colleagues. Bread was put on our table (30 pesos per person) that wasn't fresh. I asked for butter, they brought margerine. We started with a cheese plate appetizer (150 pesos)and some prosciutto (150 pesos for four slices). Very little cheese. The piece of parmesan was mostly the hard dry outer portion of the wheel. Inedible. I ordered escalopes (beef filets) with red wine sauce and potatos (270 pesos). The meet was not very tender and had grizzle. The potatos were oily. Service was slow and indifferent. We had to ask for the check 3 times before finally deciding to get up and go to the cash register to ask. We were immediately provided with the check before getting to the register. Couldn't pay the bill because there was a problem with the credit card machine. Went back the following day to pay. Stuff happens so I don't hold this against them. I left this as average because I think it is probably amongst the best restaurants of the city. All in all though, don't expect a great dining experience.
