The restaurant is on the Waterfront. It has a nice and cozy environment with views of marina. The price of the drinks and food is consistent with what is served. The food was delicious! The margarita is great too. The specialty is seafood and they are fresh. So, it's a great place to enjoy this type of food. The restaurant provides warm water with lemon for hand cleaning, which was a difference. We were very well served since the reception. The waitress Asanda was friendly and helpful and gave us good suggestions.
We visited the restaurant at night and would like to come back during the day to better enjoy the view and try other menu options.

We visited DRYDOCK in Knysna for lunch on the 10th of October and had a fantastic time. The food was excellent, and the service was outstanding – attentive, friendly, and welcoming. We enjoyed it so much that we immediately made a reservation for Friday evening with the warm and welcoming hostess. On Friday, we were again greeted by the same friendly hostess, who addressed us by name and took us to a lovely table. The restaurant was fully booked, so I definitely recommend making a reservation in advance. A wonderful restaurant – we look forward to coming back!

We had a cruise around the lagoon and decided to go to Drydock for a mid day drink. It was a Friday and sushi is half price on Fridays so it would have been rude not to have tried their sushi 😉 What a treat, we shared a platter and each had a starter of tempura prawns...we left full and VERY satisfied!!! Clayton was our waiter, he was very friendly and attentive...a definite credit to the restaurant for his manners. The sushi was amazing and well presented. Today being Saturday is seafood Saturday so we might just be back 😋

Disappointing; pricey; overrated: Very poor waitering; confusing communication at multiple levels - from options linked to sparkling wine; size and availability of oysters (20mins after order was placed); to incorrect sushi orders and insistence by the waiter to the contrary. Inexperience and margin for error by waiters can be better managed or overcome by simply “playing backing” or repeating orders to customers. All in all, small & tasteless oysters sold as ‘medium’ - downgraded from an order of ‘large’; mostly mediocre sushi; and very average salad.

Although mentioned at the time of reservation nothing special was arranged for my wife's birthday. Service was very lousy! 10 minutes after ordering, we were informed that the desired oysters were not available, only the more "expensive" quality. It took another 30 minutes to serve them! Another 30 minutes later, the main course arrived. Food quality was okay, not outstanding. The 3 sauces were one ketchup and two indefinable oil sauces. All in all a very disappointing experience!

New Years eve.
Lovely food from a large menu with a particularly nice wine list. Nice surroundings and interior.
Oysters tasted somewhat like they were not quite fresh and unfortunately they only had cultured oysters; however, it appears to be a general problem with limited supplies.
Appetizers in the form of tuna croquettes and flash-fried tuna were tasty and nicely served.
The main course of mixed seafood was tasty and plentiful.
For the food we drank Durbanville Hills Reserva Sauvignon Blanc 2023 (fresh, completely dry, good acidity) and Newton Johnson Pinot 2020 (almost Burgundian style, really delicious).
Very busy service staff who had a hard time keeping up with us throughout the dinner. The waiter had a hard time understanding that we wanted both oysters and appetizers; several times you felt that you were more in the way than welcome. She seemed generally disinterested and seemed tired of us when we asked for new drinks.
The acoustics were really bad, and since it was busy on New Year's Eve, it was almost impossible to hear what everyone at the table was saying (we were seven guests at the table).
Recommended, but don't expect service that matches the quality of the card. If you want oysters, it is probably a good idea to ask first how long they have been in the tank.

First of all, the waitress was really great and constantly brought us everything we needed. Unfortunately the food was a seafood platter, very greasy and you get the feeling that old fat was used, unfortunately only a 3- for the food, the service was a 2+.

We visited for 3 birthday celebrations and were greeted well - the waitrons were attentive and helpful and the food was exceptional - we had to send back a drink as it was horrible and the manager Brendan came over and argued that it was great ! They did bring another drink instead but begrudgingly AND then added the original one to the bill - they did remove it but then ignored us after apparently only tipping R100 was offensive!
Note - there is NO baby changing area here - and one toilet downstairs- the overall experience was great though.

We shared their Seafood Platter (serves 1-2) R550 an array of seafood, with rice and fries, followed by dessert the apple bake for him and the dark chocolate brownies for me, we couldn't really do the dessert justice because all the portions are quite generous. Great meal, good service, lovely views. We will go there again.

Very good in itself! However, the billing was incorrect! It was half-price sushi outside on the menu. The most expensive dish was then fully charged on the settlement. I couldn't really understand the justification. Too bad in itself as I said otherwise very good.

Great location on the waterfront. Unfortunately, the service was not very attentive, including incorrect deliveries and no clear assignment of waiters. The taste was also just OK... we've had much better food for the same money in many other places in South Africa. Unfortunately, I can't recommend it!

We booked in advance asking for a table inside as it was a cool day. From the parking lot you had to pass a rubbish area that had a disgusting smell. My wife and I blocked our noses and walked carefully across the liquid runoff that came from the bins. It smelt like Jeyes Fluid.
We arrived to an outside area that was very tacky and scruffy enclosed by canvas / plastic dropped sides. We were placed next to the plastic dropped sides which we objected to. My wife who made the booking spoke with the reception stating we asked to be inside with a view. They advised the inside area with windows was not open, something we should have been advised when we booked.
We were moved to a table 2 tables from the scruffy dropped sides. We ordered cocktails and while we waited we looked around at the poor scruffy state and on discussing the very smelly rubbish area decided against eating here. We paid for the cocktails without having them and left. While leaving a manager approached me and I advised that this was the tackiest restaurant I had ever seen.

An amazing location at the Knysna Waterfront, and the weather was perfect for our lunch. Service was very good, as was our food. If I had a suggestion, it would be that the serving staff should make a note of who ordered what dish, so that they don't have to walk around asking who ordered the prawns or the steak etc.

A terrible meal: squishy, soggy fried fish and an unidentified piece of meat in the vegetable side dish. Pizzas were tasteless. They offered a free dessert but by this stage we had lost our appetite, two of our party felt sick and we left early.

We were 9 people. We were served by a trainee. My son ordered a burger and clearly said no bacon. Just in case I repeated that to the waiter and said he only wants bun:patty:lettuce:cheese:bun. They got it with bacon. We sent it back. Five minutes later it came back with bacon again. A third person came to ask what was wrong and we explained again. It came back the third time with only lettuce and cheese between the buns. We sent it back and the assistant manager came and my wife tried to explain what was wrong but she couldn’t understand what was meant by we want the burger but not the bacon strip. My son said he lost his appetite and ordered something else. The manager came and I explained to him and told him may be it will be best they remove burgers from their menu as the don’t understand. He too was confused. The rest of the food was very average. I’m sure the neighboring restaurants would have been a better option.
