The Creamery Cafe serves natural, locally sourced, handmade ice cream. Famous for our ice cream, our customers also love our fresh waffles and coffees. We serve a range of toppings, such as toasted marshmallow cream and gingerbread biscuits, to go with your ice cream and waffles, and offer a seasonal dessert as well. Open until 11pm Tuesday to Sunday, the Cafe is the perfect stop for a sweet treat.

I wanted a dinner, but it was too late, so we went to the creamery and I had a waffle with salted caramel ice cream at the top. The portion (especially of the ice cream) is quite consequent. Re the taste, I think there was something missing in the ice cream - but my personal opinion I guess. It is more a take away place than a "eat on the spot" one. I felt I was eating my waffle in a small corner...

Delicious, generous and worth a visit for kids and adults. And do try the Salted Caramel it's the very best. Apart from the Black Sesame when they have it.

Wonderful ice cream

Wonderful waffles with ice cream. Friendly staff. Would recommend only one scoop on the waffle as it's very generous. Definitely top with toasted almonds.

Love love love this place

Love love love this place. Its like a pastel coloured dream. The ice-cream is to die for, and the staff are so patient and attentive. I took my nephews and nieces ladt night, some of the flavours are a bit too sophisticated for kids. Like don't buy them the chocolate or the salted caramel. But my hubby and I love it all. They also have kiddy cones, I discovered, which made it a bit easier on the pocket

Fantastic ice cream! One scoop R40ish, two scoops R60ish... so why torture yourself with choosing just one?! Parking is at a premium but with a bit of a stroll.

A 'must' for all lovers of ice cream

This a great place. The ice cream is delicious and reasonable and it is one of the few eating places we found in Cape Town where the clientelle was multi racial.

Not Creamy

We had received a voucher as a gift and decided to each have a waffle with ice cream. There is a reasonable selection of flavours available, and we were allowed to have some tasters before deciding. After having sat down service was prompt. The waffle was warm and crispy and perfect but the ice cream disappointing.We found the texture somewhat course and the flavours weak and not at all creamy like the Italian ice creams. It was also not smooth.

The ice cream here is awesome! Our favourite is the chocolate but the others are good too, we have tried most of them. Amazing waffles too. The place to go if you want good ice cream.

Whilst in the area, and as a dessert, after a lunch elsewhere we decided to have an ice cream as a palate cleanser. There is a reasonable selection of flavours available. After having sat down with our cones we could concentrate on the experience. We found the texture somewhat course and "icy", and the flavours of what we had not that strong or well developed as we had been led to believe. Other vendors offer a much richer and smoother option, also our experiences in Europe and particularly Italy were much more satisfying, and at a better converted price.

Hi there, I'm saddened to hear that the ice cream you had at our cafe was icy and not creamy in texture. All of our ice creams should be rich in flavour with a smooth creamy texture. Our teams in both our kitchen and in our cafes are trained on how to check for any irregularities in our ice creams. Bottom line is you should never have gotten a scoop that was icy! I'm sorry for your experience, it's clear that we dropped the ball on this one. This info can help us to find and test the batch of ice cream yours were scooped from, which is very helpful in figuring out what slipped through the cracks here.
