Normally I only get a pub type meal in Timaru. But I drove past this place on my way to the speights pub. I remembered it was the top rated restaurant so we stoped in for dinner. Tried duck wontons and a daily special entree....More

Just stumbled upon this classy place. Very nice food and we were well looked after. Very good all round package. [Trip advisor needs at least 100 characters in my feed back. Nothing more to say so just feeling in space to get this post done.]

The Oxford is our go-to when ever we are out for date night. We have organised a few group bookings and been able to have the whole dining room to our selves making for a very special night!

After turning up late, we were warmly welcomed and served professionally and in good time. The food was lovely and filling and the wine selection was good.

Devine scallop entree and an amazing steak for the main...and highly recommend the peanut butter ice cream for dessert. And not a hint of contamination afterwards. The service was very good. You definitely need to book. The restaurant was packed but you aren't squashed in....More

We had a lovely meal here. The food was tasty, service was good & we left here full. We were a party of five different ages, tastes & dietary requirements. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals.

After feeling slightly drained after an adrenaline-packed day of white-water rafting. And feeling a bit crap as we were staying in somewhere that could not be a more depressing/dodgy place to stay (so dodgy, not even one review of it here on Tripadvisor). We took...More

“The kind of food that makes you want to wipe the plate with a chunk of crusty bread to savour every drop” We are located in the heart of Timaru. Our restaurant has three main areas. The bar, where you can have a glass of good wine or a craft beer on tap. The brasserie, a place where you're still part of the buzz, and the dining room, for those who what to focus on their company and the food. Its all about keeping it simple. We don’t want to mess to much with the quality ingredients we have sourced, so why should we? We have set up a bistro style menu with a European influence. Rustic bold flavours that marry perfectly together. "Nannas home cooking but done better. It’s the kind of food that you want to wipe the plate with a chunk of crusty bread to savour every drop." We are an allergy friendly restaurant. As we make almost all of our food onsite we know what is in it. Almost 70% of our menu can be served GLUTEN FREE. Talk to our staff about special allergy requirements.
