Great value, great food

Went here for dinner tonight, highly recommend. Food was excellent as were the drinks. The live music was brilliant and staff were very helpful. Two mains, two sides, two deserts and 6 cocktails came to $60 usd including tax and service

What a fantastic restaurant!

What a fantastic restaurant! I’ve eaten here three times & loved every thing I’ve ordered. There’s plenty of choice on the menu. The Caesar salad, garlic prawns & potato & bacon soup were all delicious! The food arrived promptly & was thoughtfully presented. There is plenty of seating & two sections to choose from. Upstairs for smokers & downstairs for non-smokers. The restaurant is so bright & colourful- really loved the decor. Best of all, the staff are brilliant. They are friendly, attentive & professional. It doesn’t matter if you’re a solo diner, a couple or dining in a big group, everyone is treated equally well. The manager even came over & introduced himself & checked on how satisfied I was with the service & meal. This was a nice touch & I truly appreciated his interest. I highly recommend Fat Mermaid & will definitely return before my holiday is over!

I decided to try them out. I ordered a broccoli salad and when it came, I was like, wow... I literally wanted to lick the box. We had the wrap as well and my mom said she never tasted anything as delicious at that wrap. It was hard to share! And then I discovered their 1 liter iced latte. I am addicted. I cannot get over it, yes it's just coffee but you know the most important part of it? They write me every 3 days to ask me how I am doing and to to see if I still have coffee ? Now that is awesome and excellent customer service ! They always deliver my coffee with a huge smile and they even offered me some pancakes when I offered to give them back their bottles. I definetly recommend fatmermaid.

Had the best evening at this

Had the best evening at this restaurant! It’s a really beautiful restaurant with great decor and theme. The staff were all so lovely and there was also two singers playing. Not too loud, just perfect easy listening music over dinner. Food was so so tasty as well! Had calamari which was super crispy and yummy and the tuna salad which was delicious. We also had cocktails which were 50% off all night which was a nice treat too, and a great selection as well. Also such a good price. We have 2 3-course dinners and 6 cocktails, and only came to £46 with tax etc included! Would definitely recommend for a romantic evening with partner or just a cool place to come with friends.

What an amazing experience at the fat mermaid!

Where do I start? The food was exceptional. We had the chicken stuffed with ham and cheese in a cream sauce and it was to die for. The chocolate lava cake was amazing. The drinks were incredible too! I highly suggest the passion fruit margarita. We had a wonderful dinner. Can’t forget about the live music as well!

Tasty food and large portions!

This place was off one of the busier streets in Canggu, however easy to find and a great place to go for a quiet, chilled dinner. Had a good mix of western and traditional Indonesian dishes. I ordered the Mermaid Noodles and my boyfriend ordered the Satay Chicken Rice dish to which I would highly recommend. Really tasty and filling. We also ordered a side of the French fries which were delicious! Overall, I would recommend this place!

Beers were cheaper than minimart!

We visited Fat Mermaid with a group of six for breakfast and then some for dinner later. Highlights were the staff let us come in before they opened, the coffee was good, Kombucha was good, service was good, a really nice restaurant - so beautiful! The food was nice, but the portion sizes could've been bigger. It was nice enough to return! It was a big hit for us that the beers were cheaper here than at our local minimart!

Lovely food and great atmosphere

This restaurant has a really cool layout, with a higher balcony and spaced out seating. The decor is really cool & the staff were all so friendly and attentive. The food was lovely and quick service, and the cocktails were very nice. We will definitely go back, as we saw there was a comedy night soon and a bingo& drag queen night! Highly recommend

Best place for food & live music!

We visited this place during our stay in Canggu mid February. We went on Wednesday which was a Jazz night and they had special deals for daiquiris on this day which we enjoyed with our food. The singer was amazing as well! So when we stopped back in Canggu in March we naturally went back for a drink to support the Jazz singer. What’s even better is that we were staying right next door so we could enjoy the live music from our balcony. My favourite cocktail was the Happy Tangy Mojito!! The food is lovely and the staff are lovely too! ☺️ I’ll be stopping by before leaving Bali as it really is a lovely place. Food in the image was cauliflower rice which was delicious as a vegetarian who has struggled at times with finding good food options in other places.

Excellent food, service and atmosphere

Our family of four had lunch here today and it surpassed expectations. We had a delicious salad, teriyaki chicken bowl, calamari and bacon fries. Coupled with thirst quenching fresh juices, we will definitely be back. We visited on a Sunday whilst they were holding a market out front - highly recommend - not the usual market, it was more a curated selected of stall holders. All in all a wonderful experience.

Great atmospher fantastic food

The Chicken Porto Folglio is fantastic. Relaxing atmosphere. Sooooo nice that they play music that is perfect for enjoyable dining (not duff duff). Great service from the friendly staff. Can't wait to go there again.

The food was delicious and yummy. Have vegetarian options as well. Friendly stuff, great food. Also the place is super stylish. That was a great experience. I highly recommend to visit and definitely will come back. Thanks Fat Mermaid , my new favorite spot in canggu.
