FOLIE BALI for the love of good food by Chef Stephane Simond. We are madly in love about good food. So much so, we even call ourselves Folie. In French, it means love to the brink of madness. Folie is created by a French chef who is fascinated by Asian flavour. It is a love child between two grand food cultures, not West nor East, but a passion in recreating something special in between.

We went here for breakfast, lunch and dinner on a few occasions. Great staff. The food is excellent, the bakery is incredible and the best I have seen in Bali. Breakfast meals are huge and very good, the omellete to die for. Lunch is also very good, French and Italian, excellent Spaghetti Carbonara. Dinner was also great, the duck was excellent and the wine selection was good with French, Australian and other national wines, but not cheap, but where is wine cheap in Bali. A real star for western food in Bali!

This is my second visit to Folie Bali after 4 months. Love all of it - the food, ambience, great service and affordable price for the quality of food served.
Enjoyed the cappuccino mushroom soup, foie gras, seabass, asparagus and their dessert is always fantastic. More importantly it is the service staff that made by day. Attentive, friendly and my reservation is always handled promptly. Special thanks to Ayu who always have a smile on her face and made both my dining experience a wonderful one. :) keep up the good work, Folie! :)

I had dinner at Folie because it was across the street from our villa. I was somewhat hesitant to go as I am not a big fan of French cuisine, but the close proximity could not be beat.
I was completed shocked by how good the food tasted. I started with the onion soup which was perfect. I then had the tenderloin which completely lived up to its name. The beef was served in precut strips and was the most tender beef I have ever eaten...and I live in a country where a lot of cattle are raised. In fact this meal turned out to be the best of my whole vacation.
I would happily go back for more tenderloin. There was a steady stream of people coming and going while I was there.
I sat indoors to enjoy the air conditioning, but there is a large open air patio in the back.

Should be more concern towards the customer. My big bro have reserved 6 soufles, but when we came there they said they can only serve 1. The chef only want to cook 1 more since there’s someone ordered 3 and there’s not enough cups for serving soufle.
They also said its ok to cancel all the ordered menu.
Maybe too many customers so they dont need good review from everybody

never had such a bad cheese Fondue, we were a party of three and all agreed that at the price charged they should know how to make the dish !!! despite a request to talk to the chef and suggestions of how to make the wine combine with the cheese instead of having it floating on top of the cheese the dish came back watery with a solid lump at the bottom of the bowl which caramelized as one would expect when served like this, Recommendation Do Not Go To Folie if you want a decent cheese fondue !!!!!!!!

Yesterday lunch for second time at FOLIE.
Totally empty place, (I feelsorry for them) no guest at all, but very nice design, always, and staff very helpfull.
Service was quite OK, food is acceptable but too expensive for indonesia especialy for local food, we can understand the imported one is more expensive but others...
I always give a second chance to restaurants.

I’ve never wrote food reviews before but folie was spectacular. The food “amazing” price “well” service “top notched.” It was the end of truffle season and they served us tons of shaved truffles , more than I’ve ever ate in one night. The Alba was too die for as well, we kept getting more and more sourdough which was free of charge. To end our meal we wanted to get a dessert which we never thought It’ll be that tasty. The service guy was so nice he gave us another free dessert, which was too die for. I’m not kidding guys my dad doesn’t even like cakes and he finished them. It was So well balanced and so light the dessert was the highlight of the night.

My partner and I celebrated our anniversary dinner at Folie and we were pleasantly surprised by the amazing customer service we received. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and their portions are generous. At the end of our dinner, the staff gave us a pleasant surprise by celebrating our anniversary with us. We were truly impressed by the top quality of customer service, and we left the place smiling and feeling very satisfied. :)

Situated near where we are staying we were curious about this restaurant. It seemed quiet, but we decided to give it a go. It's French style menu has hidden secrets namely the chefs recommended dish, 'Creamy Mushrooms Tagliatelle with White Truffle Oil' and the Star on the Menu 'Folie Beef Tenderloin Wellington' The value and quality of the food is outstanding and the staff are wonderful. I cannot recommend highly enough this hidden Secret. WONDERFUL.

Having visited Folie back in 2018 we wanted to go there for dinner with a party of seven. We went to the restaurant earlier in the day to check availability which was not an issue. They also helped us select a table to cater for our group as we had two elderly persons with us.
On arrival we were greeted with that lovely Balinese spirit and smile. The food was all presented well and everyone was happy with there choices.
There is an outdoor dining area but customers are still allowed to smoke in restaurants so this was never an options for us. :(
Great way to start our Bali week.
Look forward to returning one day

Amazing hospitality team. Organised a bridal shower for a group of friends. It was a party of 7. Everything was well planned, food was very good, a 3 course meal and wine pairing. Extra touch of personalised service, the team decorated the table for us with flowers upon request since we were travelling from abroad. See picture! Nice ambience, excellent place with an amazing team. Highly recommended!

Absolutely brilliant French inspired fare. Went for lunch and every dish my wife and I ate was honest, well excecated and delicious. Service was caring, knowledgeable and efficient. The croissants we took on the way out were the best I have eaten, period. A restaurant for everyday that convinces people to come back.

Cadre sympa. Food was ok. Foie gras was quite good. But the Dick was well cooked without any taste. Pity.
Not sure to go again.
Too expensive even if around it is quiet and clean. A gastronomic price on a bistro design..overpriced.

Was a nice surprise they did to me when they discovered was my birthday family brunch. They come out with a nice pastry that was super delicious . Yes they are goon in that too .... We had tried few dishes and no one complain for test or presentation .

Our family was staying nearby and had dinner here one night. Comfortable and relaxed setting. Attentive and professional staff. Interesting and varied menu. Really enjoyed the creative food from the French chef. More expensive than expected.
