This place is so quiet, clean, and wonderful. The staff is amazing! Nice, hot breakfast cooked to order every morning which is also better than most hotel breakfasts. I’d absolutely stay here again if back in Juneau, I wouldn’t even look elsewhere. Shout out to Fejie, Galyna, and Nina in particular who made my stay even better. Great people!

My wife and I picked this place from the reviews found on tripadvisor. Romy the shuttle driver picked us up at the Alaska Ferry terminal promptly and took us to the hotel. He was nice and gave us good advice for dining in the area. Girl at front desk was also very nice and checked us in. Everyone was super nice and took care of our needs but especially Galyna. This place felt more like a BnB than a hotel. Breakfast was great too! They gave us good and honest service and advice. In the chance we ever come back, this will be the place!

We have eaten at Grandma's several times. Wonderful decor and ambiance. Very well done breakfast especially their pancakes. The service was excellent by friendly folks. It was like being with family.

SO disappointed! my family and I stayed here and really enjoyed our stay. we paid upfront, in cash, no problem.. in the morning when we requested to extend our stay for an extra night, they denied us. when we asked for an explanation as to why we were told we left our room too many times. I never saw any posting requesting guests not to leave the building or to limit coming and going. my husband requested to speak with a manager and was told they were "gone for the rest of the day". no offer to leave a message, no offer for a follow up, nothing. if you plan on going to get food somewhere or go to the store I suggest finding somewhere else to stay.

We stayed at Grandmas many years ago and loved it. Unfortunately, this place is no longer on our favorite list. COVID 19 has become an excuse for absolutely no service. They won’t make up your room (supposedly because of Covid but then had no problems getting into our room to leave towels while we were not there) and the room breakfast delivery is pathetic. The atmosphere that made this such a nice place in the past is totally gone. We stayed three days and couldn’t wait to get out of there. Our room was so dark it was depressing. All downstairs areas were roped off and have become a hangout place for staff. We left for Anchorage and Fairbanks and returned back to Juneau for three more days. We decided to stay at the Super 8 which was absolutely wonderful. We had our room made up every day and breakfast was served downstairs as usual. Our room was light and airy and very comfortable. On top of it, it was significantly cheaper. On our next trip to Juneau we will definitely stay at the Super 8 again!

We stayed at Grandma's for five nights and besides enjoying the excellent breakfast that is included we ordered room service. You can't go wrong with staying or eating here.

Ate here by chance because we were staying at the other Best Western nearby. Food was excellent - had the fried halibut and chicken Chardonnay. Great dishes. Halibut was very fresh and nice beer- batter. Salad and veggies were fresh and well prepared. Homemade clam chowder. What’s not to like! Love the atmosphere- small and intimate setting..Very pretty dining room. Service was really good!!! Friendly staff. Would definitely come back here.

We went here from Anchorage for a mini vacation for my fiances birthday. I called ahead and they helped me out by putting a dozen Rose's and chocolates in the room (I paid for them of course but it's still great they will do it). We had the room right above the check in desk. Beautiful room with seperate bathroom w/ enormous jacuzzi tub. Breakfast was excellent and very filling. You get to choose 3 hot items and then whatever you want from the continental breakfast (small pastries, yogurt, etc) I had French toast, biscuits and gravy, and eggs. All were delicious. The staff was prompt, courteous, and professional and we would definitely stay here again next time we are in Juneau. Side note the complimentary shuttle bus to and from down town and the airport is a nice added bonus.

Can you tell your staff to stop treating Medicai patients like garbage? This is my second stay here with my 6 year old for medical reasons , and it is appalling the way we are treated trying to use the food service through Grandma’s feather bed restaurant. My kid is native, but Medicaid and Search are combined for travel...so are your staff racist, or just plain rude?

My room was beautiful and out of the 4 other hotels I’ve stayed at in Juneau, this one is my favorite. I will continue to stay here whenever my work takes me to Juneau. Staff was friendly and the cute little diner was excellent. 😍😊

This is the only hotel I ever stay at in Juneau, and I travel there quite a bit. The ambience of Grandma's is cozy, unpretentious, and authentic. They generally get the details right, and if anything is by chance not up to par, they bend over backwards to make it right. Each room is very different from the next, but all are well-appointed, good-sized, and comfortable. The complementary breakfast in what looks like a Victorian parlor is the most ambitiously delicious and varied of any Best Western I've stayed in - - no, of ANY hotel I'e stayed in.

My husband and I stayed here during our last couple of days of our Alaska Trip for our 20 year wedding anniversary. We had a lovely romantic room. Laura and Mechayla we wonderful young ladies that had great recommendations. Felt like I was leaving family on check out day. We only had breakfast here, and really enjoyed the front table by the window. We would definitely come back!

Nice place to escape the super-crowded, loud, high-octane restaurants. There aren't many good restaurants in the Mendenhall Valley (Zarelda's is FANTASTIC, but very expensive and difficult to get seating without a reservaiton). This small venue has prompt, affable service. Sitting in either of the booths a few steps up from the main seating area offers privacy--but the low-hanging lights make the booth seem tight/crowded. The food is not super-special, but ample portions. I had beer-battered halibut--I like the batter as it's lighter than other venues and not super-greasy. I'm not a fan of the tartar sauce, and preferred fresh-squeezed lemon. It was served with choice of potato. I chose baked which was properly cooked and seasoned with scant chives and served with a side of sour cream (also offered: fries or mashed); I would have preferred a rice option. Also on the plate was salt/herb-seasoned steamed broccoli--nothing fancy but I appreciated it's full flavor and not being overcooked. My husband had a very generous portion of halibut in a chardonnay/bacon sauce that was quite delicious. He was offered the same side of potatoes. A pre-dinner salad (romaine-based) was served to us both after pretzel rolls and butter. Again, nothing fancy, but adequate. We saw a family there with young children who seemed pleased with their meals including good-looking burgers, and an elderly couple who seemed to enjoy their meals of prime rib. With soft-drinks, my husband's and my meal was about $54; no complaints, as we don't go out much and knew roughly what to expect.

I have visited Juneau 5 of the past 7 summers for business. I found this little gem on my first visit in 2011 and have made a point to eat there everytime I am in Juneau. The food never disappoints, the staff very friendly and the atmosphere is quaint as it is part of a bed and breakfast. Don't miss out on this exceptional restaurant.
