All reviews seafood degustation leek tart tuna lamb prawns salad manuia beach resort sand floor course menu barbecue night live music yummy cocktails beautiful spot most nights outstanding food special occasion stunning views
We were fortunate to hit a BBQ buffet there on a Sunday night. It consisted of great island food (meats/fish/side dishes), live local music for 2 hours straight, followed by a Polynesian dance, followed by a fire dance. The fish was outstanding! Super fresh and...flavorful. After the buffet came ANOTHER buffet, this time for desserts! The whole event was first rate. The main dining area has a sand floor so don't wear nice shoes.More
OTB is my favourite place to eat in Rarotonga. Lunch and dinner menus are interesting and delicious. The service is excellent and the views, well you can’t ask for better. I’ve tried pretty much all the food they have to offer, from the BBQ night...to the a la carte and all was high quality and tasty. My favourite was the scallop and leak pie 😋More
So we spent 12 days on the island, which was alot of time to try all the restaurants. We were recommended to this one by our resort because of food and ambiance. I would give them 5 stars for the location as it is right...on the beach and 5 stars for the live music that night wich was local couple and they were awesome. Now for the food... I ordered the scallop and leek tart appetizer. Scallops were pretty fishy strong tasting and the pastry tart was almost unedible as it was very soggy and mushy not flaky at all. my husband had shrimp and I tried one and it was just o.k.More

We arrived on Christmas Day & the food was outstanding. If you are a seafood lover, you wont be disappointed with this Restaurant. Whenever we ate at the OTB Restaurant the experience was amazing! Food was always fresh, the portion sizes were a big serving,...so definitely value for money at this restaurant. Sunday BBQ & Entertainment is the best, but make sure you book, as this restaurant is really popular. You wont be disappointed with the food, staff or the stunning views from the restaurant. Bonus is the yummy Cocktails! Thank you to all the staff at the OTB Restaurant for making our stay so enjoyable & relaxing. We will definitely be back again! 5 stars from us!More
The name says it all "On the Beach" - right from the friendly greeting and being shown our table you could not fault the service provided by the staff. The food was exemplary and the drinks list offered numerous wines and cocktails. Definitely a venue...worthy of the excellent reports that they receive. The local entertainer was superb and interacted with patrons during his performance. A great night in a first class locationMore
Sunday nights at OTB are terrific. They do a barbecue with heaps of food, from salads of different types to steak, fish, sausages and chicken cooked perfectly! Plenty of food and lots of choices with all the sauces and bread to go with the meal....And then you get dessert! Well we had a choice of 6 different desserts with pavlova, baked Alaska and chocolate eclairs to mention a few. Absolutely gorgeous! And all the time you are dining they have live music with Those Guys who were really great. We had taken 2 Canadian visitors and they loved it too. On top of that you got a dance and fire show which was absolutely terrific, all in all a great night out.More

Wow, wow, and wow. The Christmas Day lunch buffet was a gastronomic delight. I award the three wow factors on the basis of the 3 stars rating by cuisine magazine NZ, I can readily understand how highly rated this licenced beachfront restaurant has deserved the...high praise.
Christmas Day morning loomed showery, but my midday the skies were a cerulean blue, and the winds were blowing from the SE. OTB was the perfect setting out of the wind, and to sit back and enjoy the wide lagoon and ocean vista from our restaurant table. Of the many beachfront eateries around Rarotonga, the views at OTB are tops.
Philip and his professional team provided a wonderful array of cold and hot dishes, together with carvery ham, marinated chicken, seafoods, and BBQ steaks. Every dish was presented beautifully, everyone one of the dishes retained great flavours, and each of the dishes complemented the others. Perfect food pairings.
Dessert was divine. Again the dishes were set up buffet style under shade alongside the Manuia Beach pool. A huge pavlova, chocolate eclairs, sweet sauces, fresh fruit, petite fours and a Bombe Alaska took pride of place. Heavenly, as any good dessert should taste.
Serving staff brought our drinks to the table. Very efficient service provided by bar staff and waiters both inside the restaurant and in the outdoor marques. Guests were entertained by the magical sounds of Kura Happ.
An all out perfect day for a relaxed and rewarding tropical Christmas celebration.More
