Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Let’s face it…you don’t come to Aitutaki for the food. But this place was reliable, tasty and well priced. Much better than some other places that were touted to be very good. Definitely recommend it here…the breeze was lovely and service was good (both rare).

The fish and chips were nice. The chicken, told it was breast, 100% thigh. I think they just need to be honest so customers can make better choices for their preferences. It is hot, super hot inside so book a table outside on the balcony,...like most places overpriced for what you get. Its ok!More

Amazing fresh and tasty (parrot fish) Fish and Chips. We enjoyed the food, atmosphere and staff. We will definitely go back. Nice options on the menu. I'm going to order the fish and chips again plus try the Chicken Teriyaki

The food was awful - I ordered Ika Mata which was not fresh and my partner ordered a chicken curry that was crumbed chicken pieces that tasted like they'd just been defrosted, drizzled with curry sauce. The ambience of the restaurant is quite cool, but...I would recommend only going here for drinks. The service and staff were very good but the food really lets this place down.More

This is a great casual watering hole with views to the reef and beyond. Lovely outdoor surroundings. Humble inside surroundings and the menu is fairly standard. We had great covos with the staff who were really helpful. Would definitely go back next time

Great food and well priced. They even cooked fish we caught and served it up to us. The walls of this building are lined with many interesting things to view.

Great atmosphere and lovely staff! We went here as the food at our resort was horrible. Sushi and sashimi were wonderful, however the seafood platter was all deep fried which was a pity. Great cocktails! Hubby got the name Captain Shipwreck after the cocktail he...was drinking 😂 Great place to chill out 🥰❤️More

Incredible food. We had the sushi (salmon), sashimi (tuna) and fish cakes (not sure but yummy) and we definitely over ordered for two but it was so delicious we ate it all anyway! Service was really friendly. We also really enjoyed the 70’s and 80’s...music videos.More

We had dinner here this week. Yummo to the fish and chips! Big serve with 2 fillets of good quality white fish in crunchy batter. Plus chips and salad for $20. Value for money and nice staff.

Nice atmosphere. The server didn’t make us feel welcome. Asked us to move after seated by another waitress, even though the restaurant was empty. My husband had the carbonara which was ok, I ordered the seafood chowder which was inedible. Literally the worst meal I...have had in my 60 years. Thankfully, there are other options on the island. Too bad, we really liked the atmosphere.More

Great food and reasonably price, nice cocktails and lovely spot. We had both dinner and lunch there a few times and found the menu choices great.

We went for lunch and dinner, and both times we waited more than 1 hour to be served (with the restaurant half empty). Our waitress was more than annoyed and 5 minutes after she served our pizzas she told us: "when you are ready you...can pay at the counter". This was the only bad experience on our 15 days long Cook Islands holiday. Far better options in AitutakiMore

We dined here at night on a number of occasions during our stay on Aitutaki. The restaurant has a great atmosphere, with a verandah and outside area overlooking the reef. The menu is quite extensive and interesting, and all of our meals were excellent. Food,...cocktails and wine were all reasonably priced and the service was attentive and friendly.More

Headed here for lunch to switch things up from eating at our resort. Super cute local little pub, with views of the ocean. The cocktail list was also quite cheap and our cocktails were delicious. I got the Carbonara and can honestly say as a...creamy pasta lover who had been craving pasta our whole holiyay it was absolutely delicious 11/10. It was also a massive portion! My partner got the meat lovers pizza and discovered it had quite a few veggies on it as well (which it didn’t say on the menu) but he’s a fussy guy, so just a heads up for anyone ordering in the future! I was super happy with my meal and consider it the best dish I had on the island compared to our resort food, and other restaurants we ate at in Aitutaki. 10/10 vibes, location, drinks & foodMore

An alternative to where we stayed and seemed really popular. We ate there a couple of times and the food was plentiful and good value. Both times there seemed to be only a couple of staff available and with 30 odd people waiting to be...served it meant a lengthy wait. I have no problem with “island time” and embrace a relaxed approach but be prepared if it’s busy. Enjoy…..More
