The security check and the covid-19 related procedures were very professionally handled. With just one staff at the gate and one on the porch, the courtesy, the thoroughness of the procedures and the engagement were of the highest order.
We were escorted to the restuarant by a very affable gent after he took down all details quickly.
We were welcomed warmly and ushered in and seated and the Covid-19 procedures were meticulously carried out. The QR coded menus as well as the tablet with the erstwhile buffet menu were produced with a smile and they were very well explained to us. It was good to see that the staff followed the dictum of being present but not being overbearing very well.
The food was delicious, the suggestions by the staff were very incredibly good in their value addition, Pimpim fell in love with the Cubano and the luchi/kosha mangsho/cholar dal/beguni was amazing. The chefs special dish was superb and the birthday cake was delectable.
The service was top class, Normally irritating activities like clearance were most unobtrusively done. And the service was quick. We are so used to hearing a disclaimer mouthed ab initio at some luxury hotels 'This will take us 35 mins or 50 mins or whatever' and were pleasantly surprised that no such timing was mentioned and the food did arrive more promptly than expected.
And the engagement was most heart warming. Sangita looked after us very well catering to our every need almost before we had even voiced it, the Chefs made it a point to enquire not just about the food but the comfort and the safety and hygiene, and Mr Gaurav from Ambala (the F & B Manager) and his team were permanently 'on the ball.'
Kudos to all of you, guys. And a big Thank You for making this birhday such a memorable one.
Thank You Major Kaushik Sahoo for making this possible.

During our stay at this Majestic Grand Hotel we had our daily breakfast in this upscale restaurant. The spread was excellent from different parts of the world. The staff were attentive through the busy periods and the food was tasty and plentiful.
We had a buffet dinner one evening and the menu was varied and plentiful. The food tasted delicious too.The attention to detail was excellent. We were served a dish especially cooked for us as it wasn't on the menu.Nothing was too much trouble for the excellent team who made the dinner memeroble . We had the opportunity to meet the Executive Chef Papu Singh who sought our feedback about the food.
On another occasion we had the opportunity to use the restaurant bar and the cocktails served were excellent.
If you are in Kolkata be sure to experience this fine dining restaurant.

We visited the restaurant on the occasion of a family member ‘s birthday. On calling up the hotel to make enquiries we were advised to book beforehand.Accordingly we booked a couple of days before the event .The restaurant became quite busy as the afternoon progressed we noticed .
On arrival we were shown our table ,quite comfortable with cozy sofas .
The spread was good with salads ,main course ( mix of Indian ,Thai ,Japanese, continental)
Best part was the waffle bar with was quite popular with the kids we observed .We would have liked more breakfast options frankly .The best part was the desert spread ,it was absolutely massive with both Indian and western options and the ones we tried tasted absolutely great .We were a bit disappointed with the sushi spread though as it did not have non vegetarian options .But the food tasted good no doubt .
The ice cream cake the staff got us at the end to celebrate the birthday was fantastic not only look wise but was delicious as well .
Staff here were very attentive and courteous.
Overall a very pleasant brunch out for us !

I wanted to enjoy Kolkata Style Biriyani and instead of Nijam chosen Oberoi Grand expecting Bengali delicacy which totally Backfires for Oberoi Grand Chef’s disaster.
Myself Bengali spent 21 long years in Kolkata but now for professional requirement out of West Bengal since 2004. So whenever we come to Native place try Bengali special cuisine. To taste authentic Bengali Biriyani by my 10 years daughter, I had chosen Oberoi Grand. In their 360 restaurant they have nice ambience and in menu under Bengali cuisine Kolkata Style Biriyani exist which priced Rs.1350+tax. In any standard 5 star restaurant this price seems little higher Rs. 950-1100 could be enough. Anyway !
The Biriyani served with Raita, salad, pickle and papad. None of these goes with Kolkata Biriyani. Still we expect proper taste in rice and chicken. The chef of Oberoi Grand might only idea that Kolkata style Biriyani had Potato ( Alu) and Boiled Egg. So he put it but the chicken was absolutely dry. Akhni and Keora water not at all available. It’s purely a disaster who wants Kolkata style taste. The chicken was so dry and pathetic my daughter couldn’t eat the 2nd pc who loves Chicken leg pc. Actually there was no leg pc, small dry blackish chicken was poured, God knows from where the Chief put it.
The Kolkata Biriyani famous for Dum, its fragrance. Nothing was available the rice quality also poor. It’s just a road side Maharashtrian/South Indian Biriyani. I must call the chef to Nijam or Aminia 10 minutes from their kitchen to learn Bengali Style Biriyani or the hotel May put it NON - Kolkata Biriyani so customer may not ditch so badly.
We don’t expect this level from Oberoi Grand a century old establishment but such poor in authenticity. God Bless !

It was my wife's birthday on 9th March and I really wanted to make it special for her. I have always taken her to the best of places on this special day. This year due to the pandemic we missed on celebrating lot of special occasions, so I really wanted to make this one special for her. All I had to do was to make a booking at ThreeSixtyThree at The Oberoi Grand, Kolkata and share my desire to make this day count.
When we arrived , we were pleasantly surprised to see that our table have been shifted to the Pool Side and with a beautiful table setup. Right from the beginning till the end of our dinner it was an amazing experience. The food was very delicious and Rahul, who looked after our table was very humble and had positive attitude.
Can't wait to come back here again.

It is one of the inhouse restaurants of Oberoi Grand, the restaurant has a nice ambience. During our stay, we had our breakfast and dinner at this restaurant. While buffet breakfast is served, the dinner is served on Ala-Carte only. Even in Oct’21, there were sufficient guests for breakfast leading to some waiting time for table. The breakfast had enough spread of South and North Indian dishes, live counters. fruits, cereals etc. In dinner, we ordered predominately Indian cuisines like Murg Tikka, Galouti Kabab, Kosa Mangsho (Mutton), Fish Curry, Chicken Butter Masala and in dessert, Ice Cream Sandwich, Choco Mousse, etc. The experience was mixed, while certain items like Galouto Kabab, Kosa Mangsho etc., were tasted great, some other dishes were of normal taste. The hospitality and advice by the Service Personnel were excellent. Overall satisfying dinning.

Very much enjoyed the well-crafted delights of Anglo- Indian and Japanese dishes. Very authentic gastronomic experience! Have been making me come back for more.
They are also a vast selection of local and continental dishes, which are both delicious and authentic. You can never go wrong with anything from the menu. Italian and Bengali dishes are very authentic tasting ones here and will never let you go back unsatisfied.
The staff are extra friendly and make a point to remember the guest's preferences, giving an excellent dining experience. They made an extra effort to make my birthday dinner a special one. Big thanks! Keep up the good work!

Meeting up with our family after years due to Covid restrictions, we decided to do a family lunch at the Grand after a stroll through New Market. It has been too many years since we were here in the Grand but that old world feel has not changed. We had a buffet lunch at ThreeSixtyThreeDegrees: the buffet was a pleasant mix of Indian, SE Asian and broader “continental” dishes. In particular, I enjoyed a tiny portion of Thai fish which was absolutely to die for.
The service was excellent: Ratin was courteous and attentive without intruding and made our experience ever so much more enjoyable. I love that the staff offered to make us puchkas: this was a unique opportunity for my son to taste them!

We went with high expectations and ordered our food: soup, baked and little Indian dishes. Veg minestrone was alright but asparagus soup did not have asparagus pieces, in lasagna vegetable was missing we had only the sheet. The paneer tikka was reheated initially so we sent it back but second time it was fine. In dal makhani there was excess salt and the lachacha paratha as no garlic nan was not roasted well. Second time he paratha was almost burnt but the nan was fine.
This is what is expected from a renowned luxury property?

The restaurant inside The Oberoi Grand in Kolkata is as good as it is reputed to be but we had the unfortunate experience of having a dicey meal because of an culinary accident. My wife had ordered a chicken dish, which to her consternation was excessively salted. We figured out the mistake. The chef had accidentally salted the chicken as well as the jus that was to be poured on it. We bought it to their attention and the chef showed up and was very apologetic. We were enamoured by her sincerity. The staff brought us some complementary starters to make up for that error. The food wasn't bad, if we ignore the issue of oversalting.
We will return to the Grand but we are too partial to its Thai cousin, Baan Thai.

From the moment we entered the restaurant the behavior of the staffs was very courteous. Mr. Abhishek not only helped us to choose the right started (galouti kebab) but also suggested main course as per our preference. i was literally licking my fingers that butter chicken was so good. since it was my first visit to the property they also provided complementary Bengali sweets. how sweet of them!

The food is great, good options and the service is impeccable. The staff at this hotel, overall, really go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable and special. For special occasions, I can’t think beyond The Grand.
At the breakfast buffet, I’m partial towards their bakery items and cheeses

Excellent service. Would like to call out Mr Sanjay, from the bar, who was serving us - his service level was one of the best we have experienced at a restaurant. Really appreciate him for trying his best to accommodate us since the restaurant/kitchen was closed when we went. Giving 5 stars only for his service level.
1 feedback to management - In a 5 star hotel, if a restaurant is "all day dining", it should be "all day dining". If you shut down service and the kitchen completely after breakfast in preparation for brunch 2 hours later, then dont call yourself "all day dining". Your website categorically states timings as - "6.30 am to 10.30 pm". Its kind of rude when customers walk in at 11AM, to an empty restaurant, and you make them wait in the bar 45 mins to an hour to serve food claiming you are closed until next service.
