the Paradise is located in a quiet neighborhood and has only a handful of tables. The restaurant appears to be there to cater to its hotel guests. When we arrived, I was a little surprised to find out that there is no menu. The choice...of food is a thali set, which was unremarkable in its taste. The Dahl especially was disappointing. Dinner my be better when it is freshly cooked, but it felt a bit like we were getting leftovers. Service was good and prompt and the dining area was clean. The setting is lovely and quiet, which is a plus in this town.More

Waaaaaay too expensive

950 Rps for a Rice & Curry..... EACH ! not to mention how the waiter reacted when we did not leave him a tip.... Don't go, way too overrated. And to be honest, it was not the best curry I've had in Sri Lanka.

A real paradise

We are always sure of a warm welcome from Aruni and her staff. All our needs are catered for with a smile. The rooms are spacious and clean with a balcony order terrace. Showers h and c and good AC. The gardens are not enormous...but beautifully maintained. The food is Sri Lankan and very good. This was our ninth stay here over the years we have been visiting Sri Lanka and we can we have not found better service or value for money .More

Good but expensive rice ans cury

3rd day in Sri Lanka so we are not experienced yet. We took rice and cury for lunch. Taste good, only 4 curry. 750 roepie per person is expensive, we learned further on our trip. Basic tables, beautiful garden, friendly owner. Long drive form the...big road, i would not specially recommend this placeMore

Fantastic food served in a

Fantastic food served in a small family run restaurant. Fixed price meal at 900 Rupees a head. Seven dishes in all. Magnificent Especially enjoyed the prawn and cashew nuts and the aubergine. Buffalo Curd pudding also fantastic. Very highly recommend. Arrive early the close by...8 pmMore

Yummiest Rice and curry !

We stayed three nights in their guesthouse and tried rice and curry all three days. They served them as a set menu and about six different types of curry every day. Didn't mind having eggplant curry everyday which was my favourite. Great service and good...value. Breakfast also served with different Sri Lankan foods everyday and also included fruits, toasties, butter and Jam. Highly recommended to try their rice and curry if you are around Anuradhapura.More

Home cooked food

Delicious! This restaurant is basically on the patio of a home (where there is also a guest house) and it really tastes like Sri Lankan cuisine home cooking. The night we were there it was a set menu of rice and an array of curries...in little dishes — chicken, dhal, eggplant, potato, cashew&prawns, sweet potato. Then after Buffalo curd with honey. It was all great.More

Best Sri Lankan food in 3 weeks trip

Best Sri Lankan food we’ve had in three weeks! Simple but rich menu - great prices and great people - nice quiet and homey feeling - highly recommend :D!! Way better than crowded touristy restaurants in the area

Tasty and clean

The food is very tasty, not too much spicy. Stuff is very nice and i realy enjoy having dinner in this place. I have tasted on of the best vegetarian rice and curry in sri lanka in this restaurant. The restoranr is also very clean.
