Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Can't say enough positive things about my recent experience dining at Vegan Express. They were recommended to me by the host during my short stay in Mitzpe Ramon, and I'm just thankful he pointed out this unassuming jem. Didn't know what to expect when I pulled up, as the exterior really doesn't convey how good the food is. My hosts were absolutely wonderful, both informative and genuinely personable. So far as my choice in cuisine, I wound up going with the "Soup/Stew of the day", which....in this case.....wound up being herb sauce and lemon over Tofu and rice. REALLY hit the spot, and I can only give high marks for taste, quantity, and price (which was reasonable for Israel). If you're ever in the Mitzpe Ramon area, and have a hankering for some really delicious food, do yourself a favor and check out Vegan Express!

We shared the King Burger and Fish 'n' Chips. The burger was amazing, the chips were...not. Limp, not crispy. Otherwise I would've given them 5 stars. The batter on the "fish" was equally amazing, but the filling, while having the texture of fish, didn't have much flavor. Maybe more/different seasonings? So definitely not bad, just needs a nudge. Of course the cashew cheesecake was glorious. Our server, Avital, was friendly, prompt, and courteous, patiently explaining the dishes. No complaints there. Overall totally recommend it. Eat here! You won't be disappointed.

Our family of 6 are not vegans but we went anyways to this spot. None were disappointed! If you have an appetite, go for the King and the Queen (they will explain them), but the Queen (cheesecake) is huge so be prepared to share it. Wonderful people, Ate in their courtyard- definitely informal but perfectly nice. Not to be missed.

Visited them today but sadly only took the meals for takeaway (covid is still here) but oh my god was it excellent! We took the fries, salad (which is full of greeny leaves, tomatoes, cucumbers and more, with great seasoning). For the mains we took the Mac and cheese and the mushroom burger with vegan bacon - and oh my god you can't miss it if youre in the area (and you must visit the Makhtesh!). Big thanks to the owners for their great hospitality and great attitude. Will visit in the future again, very soon also!

I did takeout, and they were so kind and helpful! They let me order earlier in the day, and have me pick up after they closed, cooking my meal last so I could get it warm. I had the mushroom burger with seitan "bacon" and cheese, as well as the strawberry cheesecake. This was not just the best veggie burger I've ever had (by far), but one of the best BURGERS I've ever had. The cheesecake was impossible to tell it wasn't dairy, and was absolutely to die for. I've already arranged a day to bring my meat-eating husband and vegan friend down for lunch. It's a 3 hour drive each way, but worth it! I cannot say enough about how delicious the food was. Not sure why they don't come to Tel Aviv; they'd be all the rage without a doubt. Do NOT miss this if you're anywhere in the South of Israel. And if you're not...well, you should be. An experience.

Sweet, family-run restaurant with quality good vegan food. We had the mushroom burger with homemade cashew cheese and the vegetable fried rice which were both delish. It is a shamed that our stomach wasn’t big enough for the Oreo cheesecake which sounded so yummy

If you are in Mitspe and you are hungry, it’s a must. Hands down the best Vegan Burger I had in my entire life. The Bacon they make from Seitan is magic. It can completely fool you for real bacon. For dessert aim for the Cheese Cake. It’s a huge piece but it’s so tasty, you still want another one. Even the coffee there is way above average. Last but not least, grab some take away pastry from the bar inside for later. The apple triangle will a great reminder of the place

This place was recommended by a vegan friend from Tel Aviv and I decided to have my birthday lunch there. Words can hardly describe how tasty the food was and the service was excellent too. Of course, I had to be back for more the next day. Just make sure not to skip dessert.

We tried a couple of starters and the three main dishes and everything was delicious. We are not vegans but loved the food. The ambiance was nice and the service excellent. It felt like eating in a warm and cozy living room. We also had a delicious dark beer with honey flavour, which you can see on the pictures if you want to try it. It’s one of the few places that is open on Saturdays. I can definitely recommend this place, we went there on both the nights we spent in Mitzpe Ramon.

great place-- kosher by default, as it's totally vegan-- my sister in law wished they had a heksher but then two other tables of kippah wearing customers sat to eat as well so she felt better about it... really delicious home cooked food, not the same as you always get everywhere. my kids LOVED the food. African peanut stew, a vegetable rice dish, battered tofu and cauliflower, etc. there are swings and couches to hang out on, it's just a very relaxed place, you feel like you've been invited to a friend's for dinner. in fact my little guy has a stomach ache when we're first got there so he was just laying on the couch next to our table till he felt better (he said the delicious tea helped him, haha) and we were 4 adults and 7 kids and the bill was 320 shekels. so inexpensive!!

Had the dish of the day and asked for vegan burger to go. Both were excellent. The friendly and professional waitress helped me choose and told me the dishes were large - which they were.
