One to visit if you want to experience the great foods of vietnam 🇻🇳 We ordered the fresh and fried spring rolls, they were both delicious!!! We then moved onto the chicken with lemongrass and chilli and this also top notch 👌 Would highly recommend!...Plus they had a cute dog 🐕More

Visited as part of a small group tour. Organic allotment and cookery class using the produce. Chef was entertaining and encouraging - excellent teacher. Lots of groups but we all received individual attention. Lovely way to spend d a morning in tranquil surroundings

Had the most wonderful cooking course with my family. The lovely Kum led our day, she was very patient, sang to us and had so much energy. She picked us up with bicycles directly from our hotel and we went to the market, then we...rode to the farm which is beautiful and away from the hustle and bustle of Hoi An. I would recommend doing the morning tour if you want to see the market in action. We cooked 4 dishes and ate after each one. Everyone was super friendly and accommodating. It’s also really affordable for what you get! I highly recommend!More

This was a wonderful experience. We learned from the chef as he demonstrate making a Hoi An pancake. Then you get to put on an apron and a chef hat as you try to make the same pancake. Watch out for the flame. The chef...will help you out. Afterwards you get to eat what you cook. Just wrap the pancake in rice paper, add vegetables, roll it up and enjoy. This experience comes with a full course lunch.More

Everything about this experience was fantastic - from touring the gardens, assisting with some planting, the post-gardening massage, cooking lesson, and lunch. The class is not an extended 'how to' for meal prep - we made just one item . . . pancakes, which were...delicious. If you are looking for an extended cooking class this may not be your top choice. If you want a bit of gardening, bit of pampering, and bit of cooking class - this is perfect! We biked to the gardens from the pottery village and then on to Hoi An. All-in-all . . . a perfect day!More

What a great experience at Tra Que cooking school. It was my 3rd time back and I love interacting with the staff, Miss Xuan. She explained about organic gardening and the unique spices and herbs used in Vietnamese cooking. We made Banh Xoe and pork,...shrimp wrapped in green onions. The food was delicious eaten with the vegetables from the non-GMO garden. Our lunch was marvelous and enjoyed in a beautiful garden. We will definitely be back the next time in Hoi An.More

Just amazing. The best of all was the staff who introduced us to the whole activity. They were so kind, funny and energetic. The main demonstrator was a girl as happy as the sun. The demonstration, food, farming, cooking class and other activities were presented...perfectly and it was a lot of fun. Highly recommended and we wish you all the best!More

We visited the gardens first and had a tour ( not sure we really needed to dress up in Vietnamese hats and jackets though!) good to learn about the traditional farming methods for herbs and vegetables. Cooking class: we helped grind our own rice (...which might explain why the texture of our pancakes was a bit thick!) we then cooked the crispier pancakes which tasted good! This was shorter than some classes we had attended but was a good demonstration. Lunch was a veritable feast ( it would have have been good to know what was coming so we could pace ourselves,). The morning glory was really tasty as was the fish curry. An additional feature was the foot massage after the garden tour - this was excellent ( so much so that we sought out Be La spa for a massage in town later,)More

Coming to Tra Que vegetable village, you can walk around vegetable fields, visit vegetables, take pictures, and be enthusiastically introduced to vegetables by local people. You can also buy them to enjoy them. The vegetable village is very large, grown into many different types. It...is green and fresh, completely separate from the city air. If you are a vegetarian and like herbs, I think this vegetable village is the place you need to visit if you travel to Vietnam.More

Tra Que is a village a few kilometres from Hoi An and well worth a visit. We first visited the local community farming project, watched the farmers at work using the traditional farming methods and then tried our hand at raking and sowing of seed...- great fun. The on to lunch but first a cooking demonstration before trying you hand, if you wanted to, at cooking [with chop sticks] part of your own lunch. Certainly got everyone laughingMore

The best part of it were the people involved in the activity, absolutely loved meeting Hoa! Meaningful tour of their organic garden, fun cooking class and excellent food afterwards. Learnt to make dishes I would now try to make at home. Highly recommend it especially...now during the pandemic, good value for money and very helpful to keep their business going.More

We visited this lovely restaurant two days ago during our visit to Hoi An. Hoa and his wife made us some of the best Vietnamese food we’ve ever had. The vegetables, which they grow themselves, were so fresh and the dishes had so much flavour....Hoa was so warm and welcoming, and we had a great time chatting with him and learning about his business. This restaurant is a must-try if you are in Hoi An and would like to have some authentic Vietnamese food. You won’t regret it. We’ll definitely come here again when we are back in Hoi An.More
